I took my GMAT exam on 10-Dec-14 and scored 660.Though my score still falls below my expectations, it shows a vast improvement from my earlier score.
I took my first GMAT exam in Apr-14 & scored a dismal score of 580. This was without any test prep guidance. After reading couple of reviews on GMAT Club of various test prep companies, I decided to go ahead with e-GMAT. Most of the non-natives have expressed their utmost satisfaction with this course.
I really found this course to be excellent. I also took e-GMAT's Quant course. In my opinion it is also a well designed course. However nothing beats its verbal course. I have been told earlier that there is nothing one can do about RC, but I am glad to say that if one follows e-GMAT process significant improvement in RC is possible. The process technique of e-GMAT is the most novel technique. The instructors team is one of the most diligent team I have ever seen.
Thanks e-GMAT team for all your endeavours & such an excellent course.

Hi All,
I gave my first GMAT in Nov 2013 and scored 600 with Q47 and V25.
The books that I used were MGMAT SC and CR apart from OG13. A quick search would show you that most use MGAMT SC books and have scored amazing in verbal, so even I studied from these books for SC, as SC was my weakest part, being a non-native English speaker.
I did understand the contents in the book but was still somehow making a lot of mistakes and for most of the time I couldn't figure out why a wrong option is wrong in OG. Google would bring me here and I discovered this great site and later eventually after a dismal 600, e-gmat!
I saw bb recommending some user to have a look at e-gmat for verbal and thought well among the various courses if he is recommending this to someone I should also give it a try.
I enrolled for Verbal Live-prep, got a discount, and found a new way of learning.
The course is organized into separate segments as per the topics and it goes into the detail of every topic. You get a pre and post assessment quiz after each section so that you can check your mastery on these topics, the thing missing in books. I would suggest you to make notes also of the content and the error log.
The workshops and live sessions actually tells you why a choice is wrong if it is wrong and the discussion that takes place in these classes are amazing. These live sessions are the single thing worth the money. While browsing the forums you get 1000 rules why an ans is right or wrong, some of these rules are misleading or incomplete, but a tutor in these live sessions clears many doubts while discussing why a option is wrong and to what extent you can apply a rule. You would understand this if you have read MGMAT SC book as in this book you will find exceptions for many rules and even exceptions to exceptions! However these books are amazing if you can study on your own, nevertheless, I found e-gmat courses to be well worth the cost.
I gave two free mock tests: Kaplan and Veritas and scored 720 in each with Q50 and V~37 in Nov 2014. I also gave GMAT prep and scored 740 with Q50 and V40. I will appear for gmat in a while and will post my experience here on gmatclub.
I would suggest if you are struggling with SC, you can definitely check e-gmat.
For CR: one funda only - Prethink.
RC - well, solve SC within 90 sec and CR in less that 2 min will give you ample time to tackle each RC with around 7-8 min each.
Good luck.
Awesome instructor team - Really intelligent and patient individuals. Also easily approachable via email. You can get your doubts clarified.
Easy to follow - Course is paced and structured well. Important concepts are stressed and summarized at the end of every video. There are quizzes after every concept. This really helped.
Pricing is reasonable - I think this might be a considerable factor for most. Refer to their official page, you will find some nice addons like mocks and more.
This is a good product, these guys got everything right. Their renewed platform v2.0 makes it even better. All you need to do is to complete this course.
Hello
Initially when I started preparing I realized verbal was not that easy as I thought. There were many grammar rules that had to be brushed up. e-GMAT helped me with that. The best part about e-GMAT is that the way the concepts are explained it makes the student confident and also improves his verbal skills. It starts with the basics and eventually take you to a more advanced concepts. I could see the difference in my approach towards the Verbal section after taking the course. I would strongly recommend e-GMAT course.
Best Part about e-GMAT :
1. Covers everything
2. Every concept has a practice set
3.Can go through the lessons at your own will and own understanding
Suggestion :
1. Add few more practice questions
I've subscribed for the Verbal Live course with e-GMAT so far. As a non-native and from an engineering background I was also peaking in math section but my verbal score was always pulling me down. I was searching for a comprehensive course which teaches you how to apply the concepts that we learnt in real-time and not just teaching mere English grammar. I must say that after taking this course my verbal score has improved up to 32 from 24. I'm still striving hard to reach the 35 mark and I'm sure with E-gmat's Verbal Live prep and some more hard-work I can reach there! I must say the live sessions are really good enhancers along with the interface. These live sessions are quite amazing and they stress the importance of meaning in SC questions. Also the sessions are recorded and we can come back and see it any point of time in case of doubts. And since it is online I can login and study at my time of convenience. I'll continue to spend time on their material to help me achieve my verbal score.
Hi,
I took GMAT in 2012 with a short preparation of one month, I got 610 (V26, Q48). After that, I have not tried up to Apr’14 for some other personal reasons. I thought of taking GMAT again, I started practicing verbal ( As it is my weak area), using OG and other commonly available books. I didn’t find any improvement in my verbal score.
As I am working, I don’t get time in single stretch for studies and there used to be breaks in continuity. Whenever I started my preparation, I used to find the same trivial materials without comprehensive information. Ultimately I did not find much improvement in my verbal skill.
Then, One of my friend suggested me to buy the E-gmat verbal live prep course. I bought it in may’14. I have completed the entire course and attended all live sessions and workshops. This time, because e-gmat course is structured and well presented, I could complete the course with the motivation that I can track my progress of learning. Above all strategies for answering the question are helped me a lot. Best things to achieve the very good accuracy are understanding the meaning, POE , identifying scope in CR and RC, eliminating obvious wrong answer choices in CR. Strategies for Reading also helped me to improve my comprehension and reduce time required for reading the passage.
After completion of course, I could not believe myself. I made at least 80% accuracy in wide range of materials, including OG, Veritas prep material.
After completion of course, my next target was to complete the test in time. Initially, I took at least 3:30 min for every question, because of that I could hardly complete any test, but my accuracy was around 80%. After attempting the test strategy live session at the end of the course, I could guide myself in achieving takt time. I purchased OG question pack and practiced as suggested in the session. Slowly, I improved my time from 3:30 min to 2:00 Min on average now.
Last month, I started taking full length tests. I got V 38 in 800 score tests, V 36 in GMAT club and V34 in GMAT prep.
Now I am practicing my Quant and IR at the same time I am practicing to improve 4-6 point improvement in verbal. I am planning to take GMAT in mid Jan’15.
I am very thankful to e-gmat. In my hectic work schedule also I could improve my verbal base line from 26 to 36 by sparing very less time. I hope with some more practice I could make it V40 (my goal V40-41, Q51).
I enrolled for the e-gmat course on Apr 11, 2014 after completing the GMAT in Feb 2014. I was not happy with my score, and decided to sign up. Prior to this, I went with a classroom course of a famous company, have also finished MGMAT SC book and powerscore CR book. I see a clear difference between e-gmat and all other resources available. Personally, I feel that e-gmat is more detailed in teaching both SC ,CR and RC. It teaches you the application, not just the rules The live sessions are great. Payal does a great job answering questions and going through the content. I am glad I found the course. I'm already seeing an improvement in my verbal accuracy. Thanks to e-gmat! My next GMAT exam is a month away.I have gone through the preview of e scholar and found it soo helpfull and will purchase the complete course. I'll continue to spend time going through their content!
E-gmat Quant Live Prep is an ideal course for those who like on demand audio visual learning. The content of the platform is A-grade with many 700 Level questions, and overall about 800-900 questions. In addition to the online learning platform, we also had weekend instructor based learning sessions which were top notch. These sessions were carried over the weekend and were conducted by Payal. I cannot rave enough about the weekend sessions. Payal mostly focussed on tricky concepts of gmat quant, and we were mainly solving 700 level questions, which was great as I already have a good background in Quant but not at the 49-51 level in Quant. Also, being a working professional, I do not have much time to give towards GMAT, and this all in one place content helps me focus on important things without looking for any other resources.
This is the best course one can get for verbal preparation. I was not scoring well in verbal specially in SC. I took the complete course for verbal. I was able to increase the accuracy in SC to 80% in just 15 days.
The team support is excellent. I really suggest people to join this course or join e-Gmat free session. One will get to know about the course and the way their instructors teach. The course helped me alot in RC section also. The strategy they told was excellent and easy to apply. The Strategy is very similar in SC and RC, so it saves time.
This course is tailored made for non-natives. Verbal live prep course gives all the ingredients to succeed in GMAT provided one follows by heart the key processes and applications taught during the course. The interactive online classes with the best of faculties in the respected fields and the detailed study plan make the content of the course worthwhile. For someone who feels that verbal is not his cup of tea, this course will surely change his view.
E-gmat has a wonderful 3steps process to attack and solve each question from SC, CR, RC. Mastering this process is the sure shot to success in verbal. This process has changed my approach of finding the correct answer in the options only. E-gmat taught me to prethink an answer before going through the options. This approach has shot up my accuracy level in CR and RC level tremendously. Moreover the meaning based approach to attack SC problems is the key to ace SC.
E-gmat teaches to select the right answer and eliminate the wrong answer choices for the right reasons.
Also the constant support from the support team has helped me to clarify my doubts.
This course is the one stop solution to ace in GMAT verbal.
I would highly recommend GMAT aspirants to take the Verbal live prep course of E-gmat to succeed in GMAT Verbal.
