I am an average student with a good quant and bad verbal skills. I took my GMAT on Oct 8th last year and scored Q48 V19. I was weak in verbal. I knew about EGMAT earlier but did not have enough time to buy their course and complete it within my exam. But now that I have enough time it is the best investment I have ever made.
SC -- They have set of rules that if followed whatever be the question you will be able to get it right. Every concept and practice questions are structured in a way to make sure we remember all the concepts by DOING.
CR – Pre thinking and the methodology explained in the concept files are awesome. Practising those files will have us involuntarily apply their methodology.
RC – It is my weakest zone. They have methods that stresses on the understanding of the passage and strategy for specific question types.
I highly recommend this course to everyone :)
I took up E-GMAT live prep as suggested by my friend who had opted it before and succeeded to score 720 on GMAT. I registered the course in september 2014. Since then it has been a great help to boost my confidence in GMAT. The live sessions and interaction with the lecturers has been of great aid!!
The section-wise videos provide a deep insight if how to tackle a question and will provide suitable techniques to solve the questions. The lectures, which are conducted by professionals go hand in hand with the section-wise tutorials and give a complete explanation to all the concepts.
I will suggest e-gmat live prep to those who have an zeal to improve their GMAT english scores drastically.
This is my first ever review, so kindly pardon me if its not as per forum rules. I started using e-gmat in November for my GMAT prep. I plan to go for MFE in 2017.I feel e-Gmat is the best investment I have made so far. For verbal its better than any book that I have come across and I have read quite a few. I feel my sentence correction skills have improved considerably and now I can tackle most difficult questions with ease. I recommend everyone to use this to learn the rules & practice OG questions to ace the verbal section. Although I still need to go through the Reading Comprehension section but seeing SC & CR I am pretty sure that its the best bet.
i have been studying the e-gmat verbal and it's truly helpful which covers wide areas and is truly benificial.
I would recommend anybody to go for his course as it's truly benificial.

I had first taken e-gmat's verbal online course. But then after i started the preparation I thought that the live sessions were very helpful. Thats when i joined the verbal live prep course. It was worth every penny. It helped me to target my weak sections. Before joining e-Gmat i never used to understand the logic why i was making the mistakes in the verbal section. But after I started using the e-Gmat course, i learnt to approach the questions in a more systematic manner. More or less, it was like diagnosing the problem, and then finding out the solution to it. After preparing for a month, I could increase my Verbal score from V24 to V30.
I had been advised by a friend of mine to go with E-GMAT for my preparation. Initially I was a bit skeptical to go for it as it wasn't one of the highly marketed courses. But once I had taken a trial course, I realised that spending $300 on it would be an investment worth making. The best part of the course is that it is made up in small modules, so when ever you have 15 - 20 min available with you, you can learn something. Also the small tests at the end of every module enable you to learn properly & correctly. The workshops are a good medium to clarify your doubts . Though the start a bit early or a bit late, depending on which part of the globe you are, but they are never ever time bound. I have never ever attended a workshop in which the instructors were in a hurry to wind up. Also their portal for queries is quick. so whatever doubt you have gets resolved with in 1-2 days. All in all a good course which enabled me to over come the errors in Verbal. Highly recommended !!!
I started my preparation for GMAT in September 2013. I used Manhattan GMAT books for my preparation primarily because of its reputation. Though all the concepts were covered in detail, I found these difficult to grasp. Moreover, they were very vast and hence, time consuming. With the concepts that I learned from these books, I started solving the Official Guide questions with reasonable success. Finally, I took the GMAT on January 2014. It was a complete disaster- a score of 620 Q48 V27. I started analyzing the reasons for my failure. I found that the sentence correction section was my nemesis. I decided to sign up for a new course. I enrolled to the Verbal Live Prep Course of e-gmat as I read some exceptional reviews about it in GMATclub. Having used it, I got to admit that it is the easiest, fastest and the most efficient way to master Sentence Correction problems. The critical reasoning course was also good. The pre-thinking process, as emphasized by e-gmat, works wonders in solving questions. The live sessions of e-gmat further enhances our skills to a whole new level. In short, it is the best course available for Verbal Section of GMAT, especially for non-natives.
Like others, I started my GMAT PREP using OG guides. Being non-native, I found myself struggling in learning the various SC rules. After lot of research and browsing, I joined e-gmat verbal online course. Its actually a very good and informative course, where you can easily understand the logical aspect of GMAT English. After completing the verbal online, I enrolled for the Live Prep program so as to solidify verbal foundation. As expected, this further increase my confidence regarding the prep. As per my experience, I learn more in 1 session of e-gmat than from a book on the same verbal topic.
In my first attempt, I scored 680 in GMAT. Thanks to e-gmat course and OG guides. I didn't go through any other study material, which helped me in staying focused and completing the course in time (around 2 months).
Use the following approach to gain the most from this course:
1. Complete all the prerequisite with due diligence.
2. Trust the process mentioned in the course and apply it for all the question you attempt.
3. Don't stray away from official material. Its better to go for quality than quantity.
4. Course will teach you concept in simple and easy way, but you only have to excel in the application of the those concepts.
Well I started my GMAT preparation journey by going through the Manhattan GMAT guides and the 3 OG's , though they definitely helped me improve my baseline and work on my weaknesses, I felt that to build up on my vocab score I needed something better. Something that was more in depth and user friendly. My sentence correction was especially bad and I was not getting much help from the guide books, so I tried to find an alternative online. Here I came across E-GMAT which had some very good reviews applauding it, so I thought about giving its SC course a try. Earlier I was quite apprehensive of the whole online tutoring format but surprisingly I found e-gmat to be very user friendly and structured. It was neatly sub-divided into groups topic wise ranging in difficulty and had very good quizzes to test your concepts. I found the support team to be very enthusiastic in giving quick replies and clearing all doubts in depth. Needless to say I was very happy with the investment I made to join this course and built my whole SC base on the tips and tricks provided by this SC course. I also recommended the same course to many of my friends who are currently enrolled in the program and derived immense benefits as far as improvements in verbal section is concerned.
E-GMAT verbal is a great course, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to boost up his verbal by a high margin.
I took this course after researching a lot online on good verbal training material for a reasonable price point. I was impressed by the quality of the material specially the Sentence Correction part. I took the material for overall improvement in English and not for GMAT per se as I am not taking GMAT anytime soon. But I could feel vast improvements in my English which I was not aware of and tended to overlook. Thanks egmat and before I take GMAT I might take your full course with quant next time. But that is few years down the line, till then keep up the amazing work. Ciao
