- Pick the MBA program that is the strongest in your target industry. It is important to have a reliable recruiting path and strong alum base

Basically, you do not want to apply with these goals or recruit because nobody is hiring. These are really challenging to recruit into after an MBA. While nothing is impossible, recruiting into these "impossible" industries is going to take up a lot of effort that may be fruitless and likely will be very hard to get admitted since AdCom do not like admitting people who want to pursue impossible goals.

I was hoping it would show people schools to focus on in zero and that match their goals… I was also hoping it would show people what careers are not really a good fit for the MBA. For example hospitality, and some of the other industries don’t have any recruiting programs for MBA graduates or interns. Are industries have very few. This is important not only for your career but it has immediate impact on your chances of admission. If you apply to school and your goal is to go into real estate and you don’t have any prior work experience in that industry, chances are you will get dinged for not doing enough research… no matter what your GMAT score is. 😬
