Course Manhattan Prep Manhattan GMAT 9-Session In-Person Prep Course
Instructor Jamie Nelson
Location Houston, TX USA
I took an in-person course with Jamie Nelson, and I highly recommend her class to anyone considering taking the GMAT! Jamie is very engaging, and you can tell that she has many years of experience helping students master the GMAT.
The in-person class was definitely beneficial for me, as I was working full time while trying to prepare for the GMAT. Committing to a Manhattan Prep course helped me to develop a prep routine. I attended the three-hour class once a week and followed the assigned homework very closely. Jamie provided supplemental resources for my weakest content areas to help me master the basics.
When you sign up for the Manhattan Prep In-Person Class, you receive a ton of useful prep resources: Manhattan prep strategy guides, the most recent Official GMAT Guide, access to pre-recorded online lessons, 6 MGMAT practice exams, and the list goes on. Additionally, once you have completed the prep course, Manhattan Prep offers a one-on-one post course assessment meeting with an instructor to outline a custom study plan for you to follow from the time the course ends until your test day.
Ultimately, I was able to improve my score by more than 200 points (from my first practice test to the actual exam) and couldn’t be happier! Manhattan GMAT Prep classes are definitely worth the investment.

I took the Manhattan Prep Course in the summer of 2015 with Eric. I really appreciated his teaching methods as he keeps things interesting and fun. If you need help on math, he is definitely the right instructor to help you out! I definitely recommend taking Eric's course in Orange County and if you're on the fence about committing the money, you should try to attend the first class for free and decide from there. Overall, I think Eric is a great instructor who genuinely cares about his students. He still keeps in contact with me and answers any questions I still have.
I decided to sign up for a GMAT prep course after speaking with a few friends who tried studying on their own and did not get the score they wanted after two attempts. After taking a course, they beat their desired score on the first try. I picked Manhattan Prep after doing a trial online class. I was concerned about doing it online because I thought it would be easy to zone out, but the instructors make it very collaborative and engaging. My starting score (before the class) was 580 and my goal was 680-700. After a lot of work, I got it up to 640. After the course I had a post-class consultation where they reviewed my stats. This really helped me tune in to my verbal skills when I thought that math was really my weakness. When I finally took the test, I ended up with a 730! The course completely set me up for success.

With the help of my instructor Sage Pearce-Higgins and the 12 week online course, I was able to elevate my score to a level appropriate for any top tier program. Originally I was concerned that it would be difficult to make any gains from my 700, but the course content helped me master areas where I didn't realize I was weak. My time spent studying was more effective and led to quick clear results. You'll have to commit time to keep up with the course work and practice problems, but it will be worth it in the end when you see concrete gains in your score.
these books are great starting tool for GMAT. Although these lack enough practice material, the online content makes for up for it. The material is presented in a comprehensible and cohesive manner, with enough focus on what needs to be practiced, excluding extra useless content. These books combined with official material make for a great combination for GMAT. The books come with free access to 6 practice tests and quizzes for each topic. The online tools also include OG guide book which tells the answers to official guide questions and helps selects question as per difficulty order. Also, MGMAT blogs are a great place to learn tips and tricks from experienced professionals.
The best replica of real gmat after gmat prep. Best part is quant which is a little bit more difficult but trains you for the worst. If you are planning to by any test series then go for the manhattan one. These guys also allow you to reset the exams so that you can give it again. I shared it with my friend as we were giving n different time periods. First i used it then my friend. Verbal is more or less same as present in the official guide or in test. I gave gmat twice and got q50 and q47 respectively. And i got it by preparing only with manhattan nothing else. The solutions provided by them are very very informative and one can have take aways with every questions.
My zero-experience baseline was about a 660, but MGMAT's books and online CATs provided both keen insight on the flaws in my knowledge / strategy and the skills to correct my various deficiencies. The quant section was excellent -- I wish I had known about the 'advanced quant' series, as I am sure it would have been a tremendous help as well. I didn't spend very much time on the verbal at all, but in the areas where I was shaky, I was able to quickly improve. It doesn't matter if your target score is 600 or 800 -- if you have the aptitude and attitude, this course will get you where you want to go!
Manhattan Prep comes to search when I have a tight - 3 month timeline to prep for GMAT with a full time job. I got a raffle prize for the online session so I went with David. I am good with math but bad with verbal. David was fun, interactive and clear with his sessions. He also answered my questions with emails after class when I needed. Overall I would say he's really good. Quant probs were really easy for me so I used it simply for practice tests and validate my thinking. Verbal was the challenging part. My advice for online session is that it's only a tool to lead into the door. The only way to improve the score when one's already in 700+ club is to study and reflect, know ones weakness and go fix it.

Let me start by stating that I am definitely not a good standardized tester. My SAT scores weren't overwhelmingly stellar so I knew the GMAT would definitely be a challenge.
That being said I tried all different manners of studying in order to make sure I was at my peak performance for my test day, but if I were to do it again I would definitely start with the private tutoring that Manhattan offers. My instructor Josh gave me a variety of incredible strategies and helped instill some fantastic study habits in me. With his help I was able to increase my scores in almost every category and break into a high enough percentile to have a shot at my dream schools.
I initially had reservations about online tutoring but I can't stress it enough that it is just as good as in person tutoring. I was even able to schedule sessions BEFORE work so that my brain was at its freshest! If you're tentative about taking the dive, I highly recommend Josh. He will work with your schedule and budget to create a study plan that's perfect for you!
The manhatten tests which i used were very un-gmat like when it came to math. The math was unexceptionally hard. For someone scoring a 49-50 in the gmatprep i was scoring between 44 and 47 in manhattan. So a suggestion to them would be to decrease their quant difficulty level because a person getting q50 would waste time on math thinking is actually bad instead of working on verbal. The verbal part of the test was accurate and had some great questions. Also their book on sentence correction was good for developing concepts but should have proper gmat like questions to solve. Also study material were very good
