I have subscribed to e-GMAT verbal online prep course. I must say the course is very helpful. The course is very well organised. The language used by the speaker and also the accent of the speaker is very easily understood. So far I have completed the courses on RC and SC and I can see improvement in my ability to tackle these questions. The Scholaranium is a pretty handy tool as well. It gives in-depth analysis of all the 'ability quizzes' one takes, helping us in understanding our strong points and areas of improvement.
The SC tutorials in particular are quite articulate. I like the way in which every point is explained in detail. Examples are clearly explained for each topic to drive the point home. I would definitely recommend this course, especially to those who are non-native speakers.

I gave GMAT on 25th May and got 750 ( Q49 V42 IR6 AWA 5.5). It was my first attempt.

I started my preparation seriously from mid Jan '16 after dabbling with the official guide for a month. I gave a GMAT Prep test (one of the two free tests from GMAC) and got 690. I set my target at 720+ and found that I needed to sharpen my Verbal skills to reach that. In the next one month, I finished the Manhattan SC and CR guide. However, my scores refused to cross 700 except on the rare occasion and Verbal was averaging at 35. During this time, I heard of e-GMAT from one of my friends who had a similar target for GMAT as I had. He was already a subscriber and after looking at a couple of tutorials of e-GMAT, I subscribed.

My review of e-GMAT is based on SC tutorial and scholaranium. I did not use the CR and RC tutorial. CR was one of my strong areas and I personally believe RC needs more hands on practice than learning from theories.

The SC concepts in e-GMAT are simply brilliant. I could have bought this course just for modifiers, verbs and parallelisms alone. The quizzes at the end of each concept were really helpful in ingraining the concepts to my brain. I also loved the one pager summary slide. I used them exclusively on the nigh before my exam to brush up the concepts.

I practiced CR from scholaranium and I felt that level of e-GMAT was slightly higher than the real exam. I think if someone is scoring at 80% accuracy in e-GMAT moderate levels of CR then the real GMAT CR should not be too tough .

I did a few RCS from scholaranium and they were good. However, I did RCs mainly from the official review books.

I felt my GMAT exam had tougher verbal and easier quant than my expectations. And this is where my practice from e-GMAT helped me. When I saw verbal score, I immediately knew whom to thank.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the excellent GMAT Club tests that came free with the subscription. I would however advise not to focus on the score of the GMAT Club tests too much and instead focus on improvement.

All in all, no matter verbal is your strength or weakness, you will find this course to be extremely useful increase your score significantly. I would definitely recommend this course to others.

Great verbal course for non natives

It is one of the best courses out there for non-natives. I took the GMAT 6 months back and scored 650. I don't remember the split exactly but I scored 48 in my Quant. Hence I decided to focus on my verbal and signed up for the verbal online course. Now after taking the course, I improved my timing and accuracy, esp CR(always my difficult part). Also, the e-GMAT scholarnium has good mix of questions for practice. You can chose various levels of difficulty and improve further with it.

I am happy to recommend this course to anyone, who is struggling with verbal.

I am a non-native and I scored 38 in Verbal and 50 in Quant. I am targeting to reach 750+ on GMAT. I was struggling to find the right course for a very long time and after going through several reviews I opted for e-gmat's Verbal course. Course provide structured way to learn basics and then move to advance level. Course has significant number of video to explain concepts and constitute 400+ average level problems and 600 advance level problems in scholaranium.
After completing basic video and tests, i improved my average score in mocks by 3 points. Solving scholaranium questions and other tests, i managed to take my score in range of 41-45.

It is one of the best course for those who are an amateur like me. Explains every bits and detail of the verbals. I was scoring very low in verbals but my point got up-to 35+ from 20's. I would recommend everyone for this course who seriously look forward for the improvement. Moreover the scholarnium is the best question sets one can have for practice which tests all the concepts that one has prepared through the e-gmat course.
The course even helps you test your knowledge you aquired after each section where they have post assesment quizes to check your level. These are some of the prime features of the course which helps one to master the verbals aswell as the quant section of GMAT

I started my GMAT preparation on last summer. My quant was good that my quant score in the first gmatprep exam was 50. I never scored below 50 in quant in gmatpreps. My real problem was verbal. I heard from my friends that the E-gmat course is very good, specially in SC section. So, I purchased the SC course. In RC and CR sections, I self-studied with OG 13. I really improved in SC questions, jumping from 640 to 690 in my gmatprep exams. But, my improvement in RC and CR section was slow. I took my first GMAT and scored 630 (Q50,V24), 60 points lower than my gmatprep scores.
For the second time, I decided to focus on RC and CR more. I purchased the whole of E-gmat course. My previous strategy in RC questions was to scan the passage quickly and move to the questions. But I realized that this strategy takes more time to answer questions, besides my accuracy was low. Through e-gmat course, I learned to comprehend the passage first, then attack the questions. Similarly, in CR course, I liked the idea of pre-thinking and it helped me to increase my accuracy in CR questions. Besides SC, I really improved in both RC and CR with e-gmat course. Also, I liked the difficulty of Scholaranium questions and ability quizzes. It contains more than 700 challenging questions The difficulty of scholaranium helped me to not get stressed with the difficult questions in real GMAT exam. This time, my gmatprep scores was in the range of 720 to 760. So, I took my second GMAT and scored 710 (Q51,V34).

I'm non-native. I'm trying to do well in the GMAT test, so I tried several different online preps. I'm quite good at Quant, but terrible at Verbal. I spent some time using MGMAT, GMAT Pill, Economist GMAT but I did better with e-GMAT. The course interface and the strategy to solve the questions are, for me, the best features of the course. Sooner after I heard of the course, I watched a session on sentence's meaning of e-GMAT. This was very helpful and opened a new world of possibilities for me. I started to see the sentence's problems and could solve some hard questions just based on meaning. Later I improved my skills using their 3 step process. My accuracy now higher than before, but there is still room to improve. Scholarinium is a great tool, it helps you to find where you should focus your time and efforts and gives you charts that show your strengths, weaknesses and your time. For sure, you should give e-GMAT a try.

730 from 590 in 40 days!

I was apprehensive about this course initially since I didn't have many days left for the exam and 150$ seemed a lot (considering free prep material are available online too!) However, I decided to try the verbal online since I had attended the free webinars and found them really good. Also, they promise to return your money within a week if you don't like the course. And I found it great! I didn't have much to do except just blindly follow their study schedule. I watched the lectures, took the tests and improved on my errors. I asked doubts, made notes and actively participated in the forums. GMAT official guides and the e-gmat questions proved to be enough. I was so impressed with the verbal online that i purchased the quant online within a week. My scores started improving immediately. I took a test every 10 days I suppose, so I only took about 4 tests and my scores were:

590(Q44, V29) [mgmat]
640(Q48, V29) [gmat prep]
I took the egmat course now.
660(Q44,V36) [mgmat]
710(Q49,V36) [gmat prep]

730(Q50,V39) - OFFICIAL SCORE!

I made notes and reviewed them the day before my exam. I also did the D-S and Quant from the official guide only about 2 days before the exam, I guess that's why my mock scores weren't inflated. I was busy with the egmat questions until then.

Scholaranium does an AWESOME job in preparing you for the tests. You take tests, check solutions, make notes and in the process internalize the methods and questions. I actually had fun preparing through e-gmat.

Some points to note:

1. I wouldn't say 40 days are enough for everyone to see that improvement since I had taken leave from work so could spend around 12 hours per day studying.

2. They sometimes take about 3-4 days to respond to doubts which was A LOT for me since I was in a hurry to get done with topics as soon as possible. However, the explanations are good and they always respond.

3. Some solutions in quant are lengthy and their could be other better methods to solve the same. But the questions are good, the interface is great and you could always learn something new from solutions that are not otherwise the best!

All in all I think this is a great course!

I didn't pay any attention to AWA or IR, but their IR course looks good too and would definitely benefit.

I have briefly used the course and I think it is valuable to teach you the tricks to study GMAT verbal content. I could see increase in the verbal section practice CAT scores. I used the course for CR and SC. The verbal scholaranium is very good.

The videos might seem boring though but use to your best advantage. The question bank is not too vast.

If you are using the course, please make sure you practice a lot till your real GMAT exam. Even if you know the tricks without practice you will use more time than what is recommended. I have to activate my subscription to study thoroughly till my exam.

After a lot of thought and research, i opted for this course. I would completely agree that this is the best verbal course for any non-native (used some trial versions and borrowed subscriptions from friends) . The course is well structured and nicely paced. It helped me build a solid ground for sentence correction as i well as critical reasoning. I wasn't much comfortable with the approach of reading comprehension as it was completely unlike what was used to, but after going through all the CR and SC videos twice, it provided me with requisite confidence to walk into the examination room and play to my strengths.
