My weakest part of GMAT has always been verbal part. Since I don't have much time to study because I was very busy with my work; therefore on-line platform offered from e-GMAT is extremely helpful. Prior to taking the course, I never scored higher than V24. After 30 days of strengthening the vital concepts with e-GMAT, I could raise my score to V35!
The feature that I like the most is Scholaranium system which allows me to track down my weaknesses and improve them immensely.

Another great thing about e-GMAT is the staff. They are extremely helpful answering the questions I have. The response is extremely fast and comprehensive.

Please give it a try and I promise that you will get the result you need.

I am a non-native English speaker. As an Engineer with good quant skills, i was specifically looking to improve my verbal. After my first attempt at GMAT i could manage a pathetic 25 in Verbal which hampered my chances of applying to a good B school.
After going through reviews of various online materials available, I selected e-gmat verbal prep course because i had heard about their great video lectures of SC concepts and " pre-thinking" concepts in CR. my verbal score improved to 37 and i would surely credit e-gmat for this change.
Let me share my experience of e-gmat. I will analyze my experience of verbal by further breaking up into SC, CR and RC experience

1> SC experience -If you don't know the technical grammar terms such as participial phrase, gerund phrase or prepositional phrase, don't worry at all . e-gmat has their own way of explaining these modifiers to the extent that you can clearly build your concepts. Their analysis of question while solving SC problem is a big take away . You should read the complete sentence rather than just the underlined part, a mistake that i was doing before .

2> CR - Pre thinking changed the way i used to look at CR before . Their analysis of breaking the argument into premise and conclusion helped me a lot. My accuracy in CR improved from 60% to 80% .

3> RC - the step by step method of analyzing a passage and summarizing it helped me a lot to improve RC. if there is any section of verbal which is very uncertain, it is RC section. Different level of passages from schloaranium helped me improve my reading speed and attack the questions in a better way. i could summarize the main point in my own words more effectively.

If you are looking to improve your GMAT score , why not join e-gmat online course and progress and improve at your own pace . Rajat and Payal are awesome and cool teachers who will make sure they clear all your doubts. their webinar are really helpful and i suggest people should attend some of the webinar .

Even though I had put in a lot of effort in understanding the concepts from books and practicing from the OG, my score on mocks was constantly fluctuating. I approached e-GMAT one month before my exam and then decided to defer my exam by a month, giving myself two months with the course. Even though I could not achieve my target score on the main exam, e-GMAT courses gave me the confidence of scoring a certain minimum score of the verbal section.

Strengths:

1)The course literally takes all the three areas(SC,RC,CR), breaks them down into elementary pieces and then builds your skills from bottom to top.

2) Strategies for RC are explained in much more detail than any other blog/forum/course.

3) The way that the course approaches pre-thinking for CR questions is unique. It helped me a lot by improving my skills at quickly shortlisting 2 out of the 5 answers choices as candidates.

4) Detailed answers to all the questions, both from the course and from the OG, were a jackpot!

4) Scholarnium is a brilliant tool for practice. Both the quality and quantity of content in scholarnium is unmatched! I wish I would have started using this tool earlier (Started using it only two weeks before the exam).

Weaknesses:

1) Results of the answers to the questions that appear at the end of every video file are not a very good representation of your capabilities in that they use a very few questions to determine one's ability. For example, many times there would be just two questions at the end of a video file, and if I answer 1/2 wrong I would get to see strong statements such as 'With such a skill level, you might not be able to score in 30s in verbal'.

2) Text based solutions were as good as video based solutions. However, if given an option, I would bet my complete money on text based solutions because they are a huge time-saver! I request the team to make text based solutions for all the video based solutions as well.

e-gmat verbal prep is an excellent course for anyone who wants to improve on there verbal score. Key features of the score:
1) The course is detailed-covers all the topics of GMAT verbal.
2) Breaking down a verbal problem and solving the problem step by step is one of the key features. I found this feature helpful in the exam, as the verbal is the last section that you attempt in the exam, so when you encounter a big RC or complex SC or CR, this particular technique helps you a lot.
3) The course is designed in such a way that you will be able to learn and apply the concepts on the official questions as you progress through the entire course. By the end of the course you would have finished all most all the questions form the official guide.
4) The course covers all the tricks that GMAT uses on the test.
5) Expert analysis on almost all official question.
6) Huge question bank(800+ questions), covers all the topics tested on e-gmat. Detailed analysis of all the questions. If you practice these questions then breaking the gmat problem becomes a very easy task.

I would recommend this course to anyone who is struggling with gmat verbal, especially non native speakers.

e-GMAT Verbal- Jump from 33 to 41

I recently got done with my GMAT exam and ended up with a score of 740 (Q-49, V-41). I owe a big part of my success to the e-GMAT team who helped in raising my verbal score from 33-34 to 38-41.

A brief background- I am an Indian by origin, a consultant by profession and a holder of Masters degree in Economics. I recently became a mom and therefore, decided to take a sabbatical from work. During this break, I revisited my dream to pursue MBA and decided to use this time to crack GMAT. Being a mother to a toddler who needs my constant attention, I wanted a course that would give me the flexibility to study at my own pace. Reading about e-GMATon GMATClub, I did not have to think much and signed up for the Verbal Online course.

Researching about various courses on the internet, I gained a fair knowledge about what each course was offering. And while, a lot of courses were very similar to each other in terms of SC rules and CR pre-thinking approach, one thing that set e-GMAT apart was its step-wise approach to each and every question in the verbal section. This helped me a lot as this eliminated a lot of guess work for me. Using this methodical approach, whenever I picked the answer choice, I knew my reasons for it. Moreover, one of the most important key take-aways from e-GMAT course was that it made me think from the examiner's point of view and made me aware of the common traps that GMAT lays down. This greatly influenced my accuracy rate.

In conclusion, e-GMAT is surely worth every penny and every second of time. It provides you with the best opportunity to improve your score. All you need is diligence and sincerity to follow and practise the course work.

I am a 45 years old and I am French; my English is ok but not perfect. The Business school asked me to have +500 points. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare the GMAT, just eight weeks. After five weeks of the Economist Gmat preparation, the first try was awful with 410 points!! And I had to retake three weeks later. That’s why I decided to switch from “GMATtheeconomist” to the E-GMAT preparation. The experience was very good. In three weeks, I gained 100 points. My test was a success with 510 points, so next year I will study in a business school!

I took up the e-GMAT Verbal Online after taking up a few free live webinars they offer online and found the way of approaching verbal questions really tactful . It was just like doing maths. egmat makes verbal very calculative and following their rules you always know about what is going correct and what not. Be it the approach to CR questions or modifiers, parallelism, subjunctives they cover everything that is asked in a brilliant way. My RC accurcy went up to 95 percentile with their RC course. The entire money was worth investment . I never got time to do scholaranium nor did
I complete the sc and rc but still I got v39 all thanks to them

1. Egmat offers something that I found lacking in many other courses that I had joined that is supporting faculty and constructive replies . I always appreciate the fact that they ask for your detailed understanding first before they give their detailed analysis . This not know helps us hunk harder in why or why not we got this question wrong and helps us figure out our fleas on our own. I am going for it again after scoring 620 hoping to depend ONLY on them further . Although I'm still going for only verbal as I think I need huge improvement in that particular area again . Their scholrararium is also very good . It helps you identify your weak areas in real time . Ignorance can be fatal in any exam . Thai time I think I will be able to focus more on my weak areas .

I'm a non native. My first GMAT prep test was Q46, V27. You see, I'm terrible at Verbal. The very first technique I learned in Verbal was evaluating the option and choose the correct one but this didn’t work for me. I started reading grammar but it was very difficult for me to correlate it with sentence correction while practice. And after tired day in office it was very difficult for me to even remember grammar rules. Even a day without reading drags my confidence few weeks back. I didn't know how I should go about this Verbal score. Then one of my friends suggested me to go for e-GMAT verbal online course. He used this course and conquered the GMAT with score of 750. I watched a session on sentence's meaning of e-GMAT by Payal Tandon. That session was amazing. They follow easy process for sentence correction:
1. Meaning analysis
2. Error Analysis
3. POE (Process of Elimination)
It provides me a strategy for sentence correction. I learned though the course that if you follow same strategy and practice, you will see improvement in your score. Main thing is -Meaning analysis in SC overrides grammar. I started to solve easy and medium difficulty question with accuracy of 90% and hard question with accuracy of 70%. If I want to boost my accuracy to about 90%, I'd know where to focus my time. And it’s handy to keep track of wrong answer & follow analysis thoroughly.
I thought for non-native person like me improvement of verbal score is hard task. e-GMAT comes as a solution for us. So it’s a worthy try to opt.
