I was skeptical of using online course and used to think that classroom study was the best way. But, E-GMAT has surely changed this trend. E-GMAT has made it easy to understand the nuances of GMAT verbal section. I was surprised to the see the amount of details given to each section and especially to SC-Modifiers. This was one area where I lacked and with E-gmat’s thesis on V+ed, V+ing, and Noun+Noun phrase modifier, tackling SC- Modifiers questions was a piece of cake. There SC, CR and RC sections have a well defined structure and study plan.
Thanks to E-GMAT and I recommend Verbal Live course for all those who are tired of doing routine courses available in the market.
I have subscribed to e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep .
Background : I gave my first GMAT attempt on Nov 3rd 2014 and ended up with a score of 610 :( with split of Q45 V28 or so Needless to say , I was too disappointed , more so because I have always been an above average student and believed that my calibre was 700+ . I had prepared for about 4 months for my first attempt .
I decided to give another try , but sad part for me was , I was unable to figure how to improve on Verbal .I knew that I had to imporve on verbal , but didnt know exactly how . Unable to decide my next course of action , I decided to consult a few friends who had scored a decent GMAT score and am glad I did this . One of my friend who had taken up this course , vouched so much for e-GMAT VLP course, in fact he told me that the course is worth every penny . The very next day I subscribed for e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep and believe me this has been the best thing I did .
Best things about this course :
> The most important thing is " There is a Process " for solving questions . Believe me it makes life soo simple . All you have to do is follow the step by step process and does not require you to be a genius
> The concepts are soo well explained in audio and slides that , one wont get bored / tired .
> Its coverage / material is enough . No other material is required
> All OG problems are classified under respective subjects and e-GMAT process is applied for solving same
> Most importantly the Saturday & sunday Live sessions are just amazing . You can actually solve the questions live with the instructor and ask your queries live .
> My Most favourite part -- RC course . ( Yes ! believe me , you can improve on RC too !!! )
> Needless to mention - the dreaded MODIFIERS are soo simplified as VERB ING / ED modifiers ( Prior to this I didnt know when the modifer modified the preceeding clause and when it modified the noun )
> You get Free IR course - each type of IR is soo well explained
> Your queries are always addressed . Most of the times , I used to get replies to my query mails within the same hour .
> Free GMAT CLub tests
Studying with E-GMAT VLP , I now can easily identify the SC erros , drastically improved in RC .
Just before my GMAT second attept I averaged about 39 in verbal in my mock tests ( 37 , 40 , 44 ). My accuracy in RC reached 90% .
However in my actual GMAT second attempt , due to anxiousness I again ended up doing badly . 640 ( Q 44 , V34 ) .
But needless to say , I improved about 6 points in Verbal and am 110% sure I can easily get it to 38+ . So now on my prep for my 3rd attempt .
Happy with the course , I have also subscribed to their quant individual courses.
To begin with, I am yet to appear for my gmat exam, this is a mid-preparation review written with an intent to help the fellow gmat test takers who are preparing for gmat. I am a chartered accountant and non-native speaker. Thus a lot of efforts have to be put into both quant and verbal. I started with gmat prep mock test in which I scored Q42 and V26. I definitely needed a tutor after such a disappointing score. Couple of my friends suggested e-gmat course; After reading the reviews, i immediately subscribed for the course. Initially, I had many doubts in absolute inequalities and probability, but after going through the explanations in e-gmat quant, all my doubts were cleared. After completing both the quant and verbal section of e-gmat, I gave a mock test and my score improved to Q48 and V34, a 14 point improvement. This improvement was within a month.
My GMAT preparation had its ups and downs. I initially though I should study every available resources over the net and I will clear the GMAT. That is big NO.
I wasted 3 years of energy trying to do so.At last i came across egmat verbal program.
My verbal score was not bossing up even though i thought I have grasped the concepts well.Egmat verbal opened the doors of my mind.I was wrong.Egmat verbal program is designed very close to the original GMAT flavor .
Moreover, egmat teaches you to know the scope that GMAT covers. Knowing grammar, being logical is not sufficient to score high in gmat english.Egmat courses are designed to teach you and train you to be molded to the original GMAT style.
It helped to boost my score by 4 points in verbal.I hope to boost it by another 10 points in my next attempt.I am sticking to egmat this time. No more random resources.
Dear Friends
My experience with e-GMAT. Before taking up e-GMAT Course I had attended GMAT Exam preparation course with one of the renowned institute in India. Like all Institutes It was a classroom lecture given on Weekends n Weekdays.
To be honest the Course content and Teachings offered in the Institute improved my knowledge in Verbal and Quant sufficient enough to get a 500+ score level in GMAT exam…BUT
To get into the Top/Premier MBA College You have to be in the 700+ Score level and these can be achieved ONLY with in-depth knowledge & Skills to tackle Questions in both Verbal and Quant sections. I AGAIN scouted for, Institutes imparting GMAT preparation courses, through my study circle & Net and got to know about ONLINE course offered by e-GMAT, attended their free trial session and decided for their Verbal Online Course.
1 month into the e-GMAT Verbal Course I got to know there was SO MUCH STILL to be learned for cracking 700+ score and this was the right platform as I was impressed with
• The Course ContentStarting with Basic English Grammar, each topic is extensively covered.
• Teaching MethodologyThe Topics are explained in simple English language with proper thrust on STEP by STEP approach in solving a SC/RC/CR questions. Each topic is followed-up with set of tests to help ascertain the knowledge gained.
• AccessibilityOne has the liberty to access the Course content during any part of the day.
And So I took their e-GMAT QUANT LIVE Prep course. This introduced me to the next level of online learning- live sessions delivered during weekends. These sessions are tailor made for any GMAT aspirant as
• It creates a virtual classroom atmosphere supported by well trained professional faculty.
• Experiments with solving Questions that are with varying degree of difficulty level.
• Learns skills to solve Questions fast with step by step approach and also Gets to clear doubts on the spot.
• Accessibility to missed session.
Take my word e-GMAT a right place for any GMAT aspirant.
Happy Learning & Best of Luck to all out there.

I joined e-GMAT as I really liked the way they explain concepts without using grammatical jargons. The live classes and also the visual study material make it extremely easy to comprehend concepts and relate to GMAT Concepts. For example usage of terms like verb-ing and verb-ed was simply amazing.
I would recommend this course to everybody who dreads GMAT Verbal. E-GMAT simplifies things for one's understanding beyond imagination. I would say 4 point guarantee should be removed as it quantifies the guarantee but experience was much more beautiful. Thank you Rajat, Payal , Neeti, Megha and if I am missing anybody apologies for the same but I have nothing else to say but Thank You E-GMAT.
I am using the e-gmat quant live review for the preparation of my GMAT quantitative section. I found it really useful and amazing and it boosts my confidence.
The trainer knows exactly where we fall short and addresses those issues. I recommend skimming through the reading before attending the review session. In that way....no one will have any issue with the fundamental understanding of the related concepts after the review session. And after the review session, you would only need to practice a few questions to solidify your understanding.
I would recommend anyone to attend this course and bet that they should be able to score at their 90th percentile.
I did already write Official GMAT couple of times. Being a non native speaker, and from a vernacular academic background, I was struggling with GMAT Verbal section. This was holding me back from scoring 700+. With my constant Quant score of 49 and highest V score of 34 in mind, I read about their 4 point guarantee. I was sold on that, as it would have taken me to 700.
With a couple of months prep I was able to score from V34 (my previous best) to V38.
I will highly recommend their Sentence Correction section. The lack of proper detailed explanations can't be ignored.
But in the end I got past 700 with my calculated risk with e GMAT.
I am Rashedul Hasan from Dhaka. As a non native GMAT learner,I strongly believe that e-gmat is the best option in gmat online course world.E-gmat is an excellent course because it precisely has a bricks to wall approach. All the concepts tested on the GMAT exam are covered.Specially, sentence correction is totally outstanding for both of non native and native gmat taker.E-gmat quant live course is also very supportive who are specially weak in mathematics and it's number properties concept is the best among other online course prep.If one is diligent and can use e-GMAT's solutions, recordings, forums, and quizzes judiciously, he/she will definitely improve the verbal score to a desired level. I will definitely recommend VLP course to all non-natives.To sum up I owe a lot to e-GMAT and really happy to be part of the e-gmat community.

I am Sai Prasad B. I am an EE-engineer and work at Memory manufacturing company. My verbal skills are super poor to begin. I neither of 3 areas(RC , CR, SC) was my strength. To speak the truth i was horrible in my verbal. In my first Diagnostic test i score a 450(V13 Q40) on GMATPREP. I didn't expect much from myself in verbal, But looking at my Quant score i was couldn't sleep well that night. I worked on quant material that was out there, Kaplan premier, OG, OG workbook, Kaplan workbook, Kaplan 800, Manhatten quant advanced. I took my second GMATPREP scored a 550(V-16 and Q50). Getting a Q-50 felt good as i was able to see the results for the work that i put in.
i know my weakest area was Verbal. So i understood that i need to work. Gave myself enough time to solve all the problems from the material Kaplan premier, OG, OG workbook and Kaplan workbook. Here was my first mistake while i was solving verbal problems. I did not understand for what reasons the correct was correct and for what reasons the eliminating the options that were incorrect. I kept going with brute force. I took my GMAT PREP test-3 on jan26-2014, scored 600(V-24 Q48). Saw an improvement but was not satisfied. I took an another test after a month Feb22 2014 Scored 510 (V-12 and Q49). I took an other test after 2 months on Apr-26 2014 scored a 590(v-20 q-50). Understood that i need guidance to go any further on my verbal score. I got enrolled in GMATCLUB and found that EGMAT is the place for non-natives. Watched Free Sentence correction classes given my Payal. I was hardly getting anything correct in SC for the right reasons. I understood why i was so poor in Verbal. Took e-gmat Verbal online classes. started seeing my verbal score go up.
e-gmat Course is designed in a very good way with pre-assesment and post-assesments after every concept. It was super helpful.
Nov23-2014 GMAT PREP- 620(Q-49 and V26)
December 18 GMAT PREP 650(Q-50 and V27)
Jan 2 2015 GMAT PREP 680(Q-50 and V-31)
Jan 11 2015 GMAT PREP 720(Q-50 and V-37)
I took a break for my wedding. Now i am back to work and started working back on GMAT. Target 760.
But friends all i say is . Instead of wasting so much time as i did, Please suggest your friends to take e-gmat verbal online if they are poor in verbal like me and want to get high score. Ask them to track what mistakes they are do and repeat the concept files in EGMAT. This way anyone like me can build on their weak areas in Verbal. With proper guidance and persistent hardwork you can achieve whatever you want.
Thanks Chinmaya! I'm a non-native speaker, have given GMAT twice, stuck in the 700-710 range (Q49, V34-38). Do you think the e-GMAT verbal course covers advanced concepts/problems that can help me cross the 740+ barrier?
Hi
I would suggest you to attend a few free sessions and then take a call.
I can say for myself that I improved a lot as you can see from my score.
Hope that helps
Chinmaya
