I'll straight go to the point. Thank You e-GMAT.
I am an Indian male with a mediocre schooling wrt English. I wouldn't mind conceding that even my basics of English (verbs/nouns) weren't clear when I started on this journey called GMAT. I read Wren n Martin English Grammar to improve. My diagnostic test results were 570. I knew the road ahead is long. Thus I went on and on, from reading Economist to learning grammar from random English grammar websites. 6 months and my first attempt yielded a 620. I was really upset. Then I decided to take-up the e-GMAT course. I had attended their free webinars. I went from 620 to 730 in 4 months. I could have done this in lesser time but due to hectic work hours and I wanted this attempt to be the best yet. e-GMAT really made the difference by teaching right from the "basics". They taught what is important and the strategies were undoubtedly helpful. For me SC became a cake walk.
I think I could have pulled out a 750 but got a bit distracted. Rajat says in one of his webinars that the first 10 questions are important. Indeed they are. At question no 21 I got a RC that was 5 para and of difficulty level I had never practiced before. I knew i was on the right path. But trying to tackle this RC I lost a lot of time. Which forced my to skip 4 questions in the end. But still I managed a 730! Sad but still happy I pushed out a 110 point improvement.
The course is perfect for non-native speakers!
My English is very bad to start with. I took the gmat test after doing my kind of preparation and got really bad score mostly because of verbal. I wanted to improve but was totally hopeless how to go about preparing, since i had already went through all the gmat material. My conclusion was that it will take take time to improve my verbal. I started reading a lot of novels, economist and other websites that i never liked. It did improve my English a bit but the best thing was when i saw the e-gmat free lectures. It was very helpful for me and now i have found a way to improve my verbal. Best part of e-gmat is they have explained the topics very well with good examples and practice questions. They have explained each and every question. It feels like you are attending a live class. I feel confident that i can get better score in gmat. I used to love maths and used to hate verbal section of the exam. At least i don't hate it that much.
I took gmat two year back, but i was not able to score well in verbal section. i took outside coaching and various other courses to imrpove my verbal skills. but improvement was minimal, Even after scoring 48 in quant was nt able to get more then 29 in verbal. i started believing that GMAt is not my cup of tea. but i always wanted to prove my self wrong . i decided to start my preparations for one last time .I joined e-gmat verbal course and within a week results started favoring my stand . RC which was most feared topic for me became my favorite topic.I have been told earlier that there is nothing one can do about RC, but I am glad to say that if one follows e-GMAT process significant improvement in RC is possible. thanks to EGMAT team, . After completing the CR and SC course,my accuracy increased greatly
i am lot more confident now.i strongly recommend this verbal course to the other non natives
thanks
Sumit
Although that i have not finished the course yet, but till now the course is really great!!! it offers too much practice and a very useful technique to solve SC & CR (i have not started the RC yet).
I subscribed for 6 months but as i was so busy with both my personal life and my professional life i was not able to finish the course in the mentioned period so i asked for a one month extension and e-GMAT team approved it.
I have not tested other GMAT courses but i think (from my point of view) this course is recommended for non-natives.
E-gmat verbal online has helped me to gain confidence in solving the GMAT level questions. Though i have a long way to go before the actual exam date, I can confidently say that with the instructions and simple breakdown structures and logics they provide during the online courses are very easy to understand and implement. I was quickly able to realize the difference between my potential and performance. The RC course and the concepts have helped me to breeze through the passages with clarity without spending too much time and effort. Thanks e-gmat team and hoping to cross the "700" hurdle with my next attempt.
E-gmat Verbal online course has been extremely helpful for me. It has clarified all my Critical Reasoning and Sentence Correction concepts. I have most definitely seen a lot of improvement in my mock tests.
The sentence correction course is extremely well conceptualized and makes it very easy to learn small yet very important concept of GMAT verbal.
The critical reasoning course is also very well explained and helps clarify the main concepts tested on the GMAT.
Overall really happy with e-gmat. Would highly recommend e-gmat verbal course to all those want to cross the 40 barrier in Verbal section!
Thank you!
I have used the e-gmat online verbal online course for SC, It's amazing how the course breaks down each section and simply explain it. I used different resources but I found over e-gmat is best in available online resource for the verbal section.
I made a good improvement in my Sentence correction score by following the e-gmat strategy and completing the practice quiz and tests after for each section. e-gmat amazingly simplified the SC. You will be able to complete the SC section within two weeks and you will see immediate improvement in your practices and mocks. I made an over all improvement of 7 points in my verbal section with only completing the SC part of the e-gmat course. I would highly recommend this course for non-natives.
e-gmat SC is a must if you are a non native and want to an immediate improvement in your GMAT score .
Verbal section was the scary section of gmat fot me until I have joined e- gmat verbal online course.after going through the free session, I enrolled for it and found it quite helpful.initially sentence correction questions were totally out of box for me but when I came through e-gmat sc session, these question became cake walk for me.the examples they provide are so easy and realistic that anyone can understand the concept quite easily.coming to CR secrion, the best thing which I found was their basic approach. They start with definition of premise, conclusion, argument with basic examples and then detailed explanation if every question.small test series after each session gave me confidence that I am improving day by day.
I am a non native speaker. I have started studying for GMAT since Feb 2014, after checking through all online content, I came to know about e-gmat. To understand the Sentence correction strategies, I have reviewed free webinar sessions recordings. Finally subscribed for e-gmat. Course content is perfectly structured for non native speakers. All sections have nice video lessons, associated with pre and post assessment quiz for each topic. Also supplemented with topicwise blogs and OG questions solutions. After joining the course, I have seriously started understanding the meaning of the sentence for each question; On top of grammar rules, sentence structure rules and idioms, understanding the meaning is the key to eliminate wrong answer choices more precisely. I like the POE (process of elimination) approach.
Overall good experience with e-gmat! Kudos! Anticipating 100 points score improvement.
