I purchased Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning Individual packages for my verbal preparation. Both the sections have been thoroughly explained.I would not have had clear concepts without e-gmat's help. All the topics are clearly explained with examples.Practice drills are present at the end of every section to make concepts even more clear.Being a non native speaker,I can absolutely vouch for e-gmat's verbal course. If you are aiming for 700+ , go for egmat! It is very affordable and extremely helpful.Plus there are free webinars held almost every week. You can absolutely rely on all the information that you recieve through egmat.
As I am a non-native English user, so I suffered a lot in preparing for Sentence Correction. I have tried various other courses, but nothing helped.
I gave GMAT once before landed on 680, was looking forward to improve the score. I got hold of e-gmat verbal online, I can definitely state that a minimum of 40 marks improvement with serious and dedicated approach to the concept files , sessions, practices and questions would be achieved.
Also I do have hectic work-schedule, so the online mode of teaching helped me a lot. Also, it is very interactive and more of a TO-DO approach rather than to lecture. I do specially recommend a non-native speaker to sign the course.
I had read a lot of reviews written to improve English for non natives. I was confused between magoosh and e-gmat. Finally I went with my instinct and went with e-gmat.
Out of all the three sections, their SC is the best. CR I started doing and the small steps such as pre-think, mapping, how to save tine really helped. RC unfortunately I couldn't take out the time to study. Because of e-gmat I improved my score from 20 to 27 in 30 days. However that is not a good score and I am taking a retest again and will thoroughly go through e-gmat this time.
I enjoyed the sentence correction training at egmat. I believe the best part is to be able get trained at ones convenience. However I have also gone through trainings at sites like Lynda and tutsplus. In comparison to them I feel that the videos could have been shortened s lot. A lot of instructions are repetitive and could have been removed after the first video.

Like most of the engineers from India, I was not able to score well in Verbal section of GMAT. Verbal especially RC was dreadful to me. I tried with MGMAT RC book but was lost amidst the volume of sheer details. Then I have taken free trial provided by E-GMAT. I found that egmat is the course that will improve my verbal score. EGMAT taught me how pre-thinking helps to enhance the accuracy and the speed. After few months working on the verbal online course offered by EGMAT, I am able to score better than I was doing prior to join this course. For verbal I can surely recommend EGMAT.
I am almost done with my course and I feel prepared to answer any questions without fear.
Last week, I did a mock and my score in Verbal improved 10 points. It was a great surprise!
e-GMAT has helped me to be faster in SC. In CR, my performance used to be bad. I have learned how to understand an argument using structure and pre-thinking steps. Because of it, now I can handle questions easily.
As a non-native English speaker, I can also say that e-GMAT has helped me a lot in RC. Reading Strategies teaching is very useful!
I strongly recommend e-GMAT.
After spending nearly 3-4 months on a local GMAT test prep company (4GMAT) which was ok for quants but terrible for verbal, I was totally lost on what were the skills i needed to build to taken on the GMAT verbal giant let alone building them. That's when i chanced upon e-GMAT on this very forum and started taking some of the concept builders it offers for free.
That was it ! one week down after i had completed all the free material i was completely sold and did not hesitate a second to sing-up for their Verbal online course (even though i had already spent over 50k INR on GMAT courses and material).
Far from the arrogant self important style of classroom verbal instructors, e-GMAT starts off from the very basics and builds your basic grammar concepts in a fun and engaging way at your own pace.
As a married working professional, it was always tough to cope-up with the pre-defined schedules of offline test prep companies. e-GMATs easy to use and reliable interface that delivers quality material at the comfort of your home on demand was a great savior in this regard.
e-GMAT in my opinion is the best bet for GMAT verbal prep hands-down. However i'm yet to take their quants courses, so can't about it for now.
I have always been good at Quantitative, since my CAT days Verbal section has been pulling all my credits to a low level that never assured any call from good colleges. GMAT became my target after my 4th work anniversary. GMAT is different (in terms of preparation & strategies) from CATs in India. So I started researching about strategies and preparations required to ace GMAT.
First of all I realised GMATClub is best place to know everything about GMAT. Then I went through official GMAT Guides. I was pretty sure about Quantitative section but Verbal section dahh...!!
So I gave my first GMAT and score was Q49 V28. I was really really disappointed by my Verbal.
Same story here, verbal is pulling my over all score down. It was time to decide what steps are required to take to save myself from Verbal. I searched many institutes and visited few of them but the problem was "TIMINGS". I am a working engineer, I can't attend classes unless they are according to my schedule. So I searched about Verbal preparation online. One of my friend suggested me eGMAT online. He said it is best preparation site for non-natives.
I was not sure whether to spend money on this course, So I wrote an Email to Rajat sir from eGMAT telling him about my GMAT score and wether eGMAT can help me in it. Believe me the reply I got was not only motivating but also convincing that I can improve my verbal. He asked about my strategy and asked me to go through eGMAT's FREE material. I realised my "BIG TIME MISTAKE" It was my method of attempting questions in Verbal. I need to change my whole thinking about verbal section. I am never sure about my answers while making them in verbal section. Biggest and Best thing eGMAT is - it tells you "why you are wrong". It not only tells "why a correct answer is correct" but also why other options are wrong. So in this way when you do one question, you are actually doing 5 questions, since it is most important to learn what is wrong with incorrect answers.
Other best feature is when ever you have doubt (literally any kind of doubt) simply post on relevant forum of the section, you will get reply from experts. I got my most of doubts cleared from experts within a day.
NOW final words- I am yet give my 2nd GMAT EXAM, and my mocks are clearly showing improvement. One thing is sure I will answer verbal with much more confidence now. Lets see how the things will turn up this time. I will definitely write a detail experience after my next GMAT. I will definitely put my score card after few weeks to get $15 gift card. :)
Thank You e-GMAT and Rajat Sir.
I have been using e-GMAT for some time now and I find it to be an excellent source and the best investment one could possibly do for GMAT verbal. All the verbal concepts tested on the GMAT exam have been very well covered. I have found SC and CR section to be the best with the way they have gone about explaining the concepts. It teaches you the application, not just the rules. I am glad I found the course. I'm already seeing an improvement in my verbal accuracy.I still have some time for my GMAT and with the way things are going I am sure and hopeful that i will do well in exam. I will highly recommend this course to everyone.
Cheers and All the Best everyone!
When I started my GMAT Preparation, I was struggling in my verbal section. The scores after 1 week of basic brushing up was Q47 V21. I was very much worried. I did a lot of research and made up my mind to enroll for E-GMAT Verbal prep. This helped me a lot in improving my score in a month. I gave my GMAT in November, about a month after enrolling and was able to score 660. Q49 V 31. I didn't utilize the E-GMAT resources completely and still was able to manage a decent score of v31.
I am planning to retake the exam in march and I am very much sure that the E GMAT can help me score in the 40s for verbal section.
