I first took the GMAT on 2013 and scored 590 Q 47 V 25. I knew on the first trial I did not do so well because I did not have the stamina and strategies to do well. Thus, on the first trial, I kind of gave up half way though the test.

2.5 years later I give my MBA dream another shot and decided to break 700 on the GMAT. I was searching for "shortcuts" on verbal and could not find any........until I found e-GMAT. The course was well structured for non-native. The SC section was superb. I feel that I was solving engineering problems, because I have developed the strategies that are RELIABLE and REPETABLE. The CR is the second best part of the course. The art of "pre-thinking" really invokes my critical thinking skills and after mastering it, CR is a piece of cake. RC is by far the hardest section for me, and I should have spent more time studying for it. But e-GMAT RC course is also superb.

On test day I did well on all sections. I guessed through 10 questions on verbal because I was not pacing myself enough i.e. slowed down too much on RCs. Nonetheless.. I still get 710 Q50 V 35!!!!!! That's it, I am done with the GMAT for good. Thanks e-GMAT for the wonderful course. I highly recommend the course to non-natives.

I recently gave my GMAT and scored a decent 740 ( Q50, V39, IR: 6, AWA: 6). Although, I could have done better but I must say that this score wouldn't have been possible without e-gmat great verbal sessions.

I started my preparation back in October 2015 in a similar manner as any GMAT aspirant would. I took up the Manhattan guides for the Verbal section and went through each of them properly. Following this, I gave my 1st GMAT Prep exam and scored a 740. I was happy and thought I was ready to take the exam. I had bought a KAPLAN guide for practice and their tests. I decided to give a few before making an appointment for GMAT. I scored a dismal 670 in my first test and after analysis of the same, I realised that I had got only superficial knowledge in Verbal section. I went online to review a full courses and ended up taking e-gmat Verbal online. Believe me, but that was one of the best decisions that I made in my GMAT journey. Their courses are very thorough and the supplementing articles are very informative. Their approach to understand the meaning first of any stem was essential and it proved very useful.
Their approach towards SC and CR was really very useful and although I think I could have scored much better, this score wouldn't have been possible without the kind of resources that e-gmat provided.

Kudos to you guys!

Cracking any exam needs a combination of skills ,temperament and practice, and these parameters become even more important in a marathon exam such as GMAT. The best part of e-gmat was the solid conceptual base for each of the topics in verbal followed by relevant examples.
The videos were self-explanatory and the live sessions acted as an anchor to reinforce the important concepts and their application.
I still remember my numerous doubts to faculties and their patient responses clarifying even the silliest of doubts.
I would recommend e-gmat to every serious aspirant if they are targeting a good score in GMAT.

Verbal Live Prep - e-GMAT course review

Verbal Live Prep is one of the best courses that is out there for non-natives. It is an audio-based course and hence, more interactive compared to reading books. My favourite part of the course would be the way it is structured. The course would start with the simplest of concepts and would end with the really tricky or interesting ones. AND for every topic the course touches, it has a practical as well as an application quiz. So, it is made sure that you have understood the topic and are able to solve within the time frame as well.

While Selecting a course, as almost everyone preparing for GMAT does, I bought the MGMAT books. But as a working individual , I would be almost always exhausted. I didn't want to read a book after coming back from work. I wanted something more interactive and eGMAT's verbal live/online course is more than what one can imagine or ask for. I really found it beneficial during my preparation.

For me, their best would be the SC course. It is so good that you will start following in your daily lives too.

I would strongly recommend the course for anyone and everyone looking to ace the gmat.

Best GMAT Course for Non Native English Speakers!!

Hi All,

After my first attempt, which was quite disheartening, I have taken the verbal live prep of E-GMAT. I was actually amazed by their course as the lessons and the user interface were simple and splendid. I was a bit paranoid as I thought that the doubts that occur while studying would not be cleared through an online course properly. But, I might have asked the tutors atleast 20 questions(many silly ones as well). They have cleared these doubts very fast and didnt leave even one question unattended.

My main weak areas were CR and RC. I thought i couldn't get any better in these areas. I was skeptical even while signing up for this course. But now I am very delighted that i did, as hardly any of my questions go wrong.

The PRETHINKING startegy in CR was time taking in the earlier stages. But as Rajat said, there is a transition stage during which one might feel they are going slower than usual. But this strategy is so marvellous!! Also the Markers list in RC, helped me so much to keep up the faster pace and the maximum comprehension.

This course is excellently designed for a non native English speaker. Kudos to Rajat and E-GMAT team! Keep up the good work :)

As an Indian Engineer giving the GMAT I was having mixed feelings about the exam. On one hand, I knew that Quant would be easier for me than most, whereas Verbal would be much tougher. There was also the additional pressure to score well since most of my peers would have scores well above the median.
As expected, I quickly picked up Quant never dipping below Q47. But Verbal was giving me trouble with my score hovering around V38. I knew that I needed help. I was introduced to e-GMAT through reviews submitted by my peers.
Initially, I attended one of Rajat’s seminar’s on Critical Reasoning. By the end of the webinar, I was totally impressed with his teaching methodology and insight while answering students’ queries. As the icing on the cake, e-GMAT’s pre-thinking method helped me solve almost every CR problem in 45 seconds. Even after crossing questions of 700+ difficulties, I found that pre-thinking helped me avoid the obvious traps set by the test.
After joining, I found e-GMAT’s question bank to be an invaluable tool providing the right mix of questions and testing all the right concepts.
e-GMAT is an excellent all round package – with one caveat. You need to have the self-discipline to practice what Rajat tells you and do your exercises. So as long as you’re self-driven and willing to put in the work, I’d say go with it.

Before I started to prepare for GMAT, I have a chance to join E-GMAT free strategy workshop, which Rajat share his opinions on how people should prepare for GMAT. This session is really useful and I decided to enrol for GMAT live prep(E-GMAT courses for both Verbal and Quant).

Before I started the course I decided to took the gmatprep again to gauge my ability, while I already took it 1 time 3years ago at that time I score a dismal 450 but at that time my English wasn't very good, I didn't understand what's DS want from me, etc. so I decided to took it again to check my current ability.I got 590 (Q46,V25) while this improve a lot from last practice test, I knew that the road to 700 for me is sill a long way to go.

So I started my preparation in verbal, I've found that E-GMAT strategy for CR and SC is really effective. The interactive class is a useful way you to help you learn and the practice questions give you opportunities to practice concepts you just learned. I've found that E-GMAT concept files and practice questions complement with OG was enough for me, and due to time constrain I didn't attend their workshop, so I can't comment on those.

I signed up for e-gmat's GMAT Live Prep after struggling with my studies for a long time. Being a non-native speaker, I was having a really difficult time in the verbal section. After reading a lot of positive reviews and going through some free session, I decided to sign-up with e-gmat. It turned out to be the best decision of my GMAT journey. The course content and the delivery method is absolutely perfect. The strategies are easy to follow and cover everything you need for the GMAT. The scholaranium serves as a perfect practice platform. Everything about the course is just amazing. They have got some amazing instructors who are always there to help you out. I would highly recommend the course to everyone, especially the ones who are struggling with the verbal section.

SUPERB COURSE TO CRACK GMAT

I joined this course on the reference of my friend who cracked the ISB with GMAT score of 740.
The Verbal Live Prep course is well drafted. The online course provides the flexibility to pace the course as per own needs and time availability.
The course is divided into SC, CR & RC sections with the study plan customized to move ahead in the course. The concepts in each section are well-defined and illustrated with good examples. There are short quizzes pre and post the concept to analyze the learning made. Within the section there are practice tests and quizzes to analyze the progress made whether to go ahead in the course or have a relook on the concepts. Any queries in the understanding can be posted in the forum and the elaborate reply on the same is made well in time.
There are also the Instructor Led Live Sessions in which one should go after going thru the concepts as advised in the study plan and the luminous faculty discusses the GMAT and prototype questions to further clarify the concepts. The platform is very interactive for the students to engage with the faculty.
There are pdfs available to refer if required.
The Scholaranium is another platform given to check the preparations made and assess the learning in various concepts in each section.
Access to 800ScoreTests is also helpful to prepare in whole for the GMAT.
The course material along with OG is sufficient enough to prepare for the GMAT exam and give enough confidence to crack the exam with good score. Rest depends on the hard work put in. I am thankful to the e-GMAT helping me to score 700 in the GMAT exam.
