I am a 2nd time retaker & about to give my test in next month. I feel e-gmat online veb prep is the best verbal course for anyone who are about to start their preparations. I have started with SC and the videos are amazing. They are simple enough, the course teaches you the logic of these questions based on the meaning of each. Each concepts has been explained well and every video is followed by a post assessment quiz, which immediately tells you your level of understanding. In CR strategies such as pre thinking and understanding the argument well drawing a logical structure is the key to mastering CR. Regarding RC I just started the first module & already liking it. Overall I would say e-gmat is a best online prep course & I would highly recommend it.
I highly recommend the full set of e-GMAT verbal course. In particular, e-GMAT helped me raise my verbal score significantly thanks to its difficult Verbal sections on its online CAT exams.
After several months of intense self-study using prep materials from other providers, I first took the GMAT in March 2017 and scored a 610. I debated sticking with the score, my quant/verbal split was very skewed (93rd percentile quant/40th percentile verbal), and I felt that with more effort/dedication through a structured prep program I could bring up my verbal score.
I enrolled in a e-GMAT Verbal online course, however when I took a diagnostic test and discussed the results with my friends, they recommended I consider tutoring instead and focus on verbal alone (since my quant score was already high). e-GMAT allowed me to transfer my course credit with relatively little hassle, and I met for ~5 hours of preparation spread over 2 months.
e-GMAT did a great job working through difficult problems with me, helping me develop strategic approaches to test-taking, and analyzing the results of my practice tests to give me personalized feedback and problem sets based on my weaknesses. In particular, e-GMAT helped me understand the importance of time management on the Verbal section, and gave me several useful strategies to improve in this respect.
I retook the GMAT in Aug. 2017 and scored a 710, with an 91st percentile quant/96th percentile verbal split. I think my improvement from a good to great score is a result that speaks for itself in terms of the quality of e-GMAT materials and instruction. Thanks e-GMAT!
I purchased e-gmat after scoring 570 in GMAT test. I saw a improvement of 30-40 points after studying through e-gmat in the mocks. Recommended both for verbal and quant sections.
Verbal is explained in a very simple and effective manner.
Quant covers basics and advanced level topics.
Scholarium has good set of problems with solutions.
Verbal - Sentence correction and power of how to break up a sentence into parts has been explained nicely. Also how to go about the sentence with its intended meaning and general principles of how to go about SC has been formulated.
Quant - Good question bank and very methodical explanation of concepts has been provided.
Overall a good package for GMAT preparation.
In my preparation for GMAT, I really appreciate the e-GMAT material. The learning methodology is really good as it takes care of the learning curve of a non-native English speaker. After each concept you will get some practice questions which strengthens your concept in a really strong way. Verbal Online material is really, really awesome!!
I have gone through number of study materials but I found e-GMAT the best.
All the questions are thoughtfully made and structured. I think e-GMAT team would have spent lot of hours to define such high quality questions. I have studied lot of material and I found almost all fresh questions in e-GMAT. Hats off to the team….
The scholaranium, set of practice questions, is really helpful as it also helps to analyses your performance on timing and accuracy in different areas of verbal and quant. The detailed analysis can then be used to focus on weak areas. Complete material of e-GMAT has been thoughtfully strategized, defined and then laid out.
As I am preparing for GMAT and appearing on Nov 7th, I hope to get a good score!!
I struggled with sentence corrections at first. On my very first diagnostic, I scored 620. I spent 2 months working on both verbal and math but my practice exam scores didn't really improve much at all. I was told by people on this forum to look at egmat. I started with the free trial first and found the lessons to be very structured and easy to follow. I then decided to purchase the verbal online course. I'm very glad I did because I don't think I could have scored as high as I did in verbal without the lessons I found there. With some additional practice I started consistently scoring above 35 in verbal. My first official score was low mostly due to exam jitters. I started the course when I was scoring in the 650 range and was able to get a 710 in my second attempt.
Hello Friends,
If you are planning on taking the gmat anytime soon & are unable to reach that target score, E-Gmat is the course you must opt for.
1) They provide the best interface that helps to navigate easily through various topics that they cover.
2) Their in-course videos helps in the development of key core skills that would help you get Q51.
3) Scholaranium has more than 1000 questions which can be taken topic-wise or mock-wise. The explanation to the solutions is so concise and precise that it will help you develop clear conceptual knowledge, these skills would help you get solution to a gmat level question in under 1:30 minutes.
I would recommend the e-gmat Verbal Online course to all aspirants for GMAT. Verbal is key to maiking your GMAt score. I have witnessed so may cases where aspirants have a 50 in Quant but a 30-32 in Verbal. I have tried the e-gmat verbal online and the type of content, the clarity in presenting it and the attention to detail is amazing. Especially the Pre-quiz before each section and e-gmat scholaranium are two tools that lead you to see results and feel confident of your skills as well accessing your current skill levels. Believe me reading a text book and attending an interactive e-gamt course makes a lot of difference and the platform is highly engaging.
Also, If you have a doubt about any particular answer choice you can always refer to discussions on that questions and ask experts then and there if you have any doubts or gaps in understanding.
I would highly recommend e-gmat Verbal Online because its the Verbal score that gives an edge to the Overall GMAT score.
I took the GMAT for the first time way back in November 2015 and scored an abysmal 660 subsequent to which I joined the E-GMAT course after reading the reviews on multiple forums. My verbal wasn't bad considering the fact that I had scored a 99%ile in CAT (entrance test for admissions to premier Indian B Schools). However I lacked a structured approach to crack verbal problems and E-GMAT gave me that approach. After 6 months of diligent studies, I scored a 710 with an impressive 38 in Verbal. I think the major standout points of the course were
1. Structured approach to crack SC problems with a 3 step process comprising understanding the meaning, error analysis and elimination. I believe if you follow this approach over time it becomes intuitive and the time to solve SC problems falls dramatically
2. Secondly, the approach to RC too was very comprehensive. I always believed that RC never required an approach to crack the passage. However the 7 step approach to solve RCs has considerably improved my accuracy in RC to well over 80%
3. Finally in case of CR the pre-thinking approach to solving CR problems has been really beneficial. CR was one of my weakest areas a year and half back and I have made great strides in this section
Unfortunately I could not get an admit in the top 10 US B Schools that I was targeting and hence I have decided to retake the GMAT to get a 740 plus score. I have still continued with the E-GMAT course and have started scoring in the 710-730 range in mocks and hope to cross the 740 barrier.
I would recommend this course for Verbal to anyone who is not a native English speaker. I believe it is one of the most comprehensive, structured and relevant GMAT verbal courses

I have taken Magoosh gmat course, but my verbal score in mock tests never crossed 32. So, I have decided to move on with a other online prep course which would help me understand the verbal concepts at a granular level and I was glad I found e-gmat verbal live prep and online course. After taking the course, I felt really confidant as my score improved a lot. The best part of the online live prep course was not jus about the concepts, but about studying with a strategy and Rajat really helped me to decide on one. I would recommend the e-Gmat online live prep course to everyone who want to score more than 90 percentile not limited to just non-native english speakers.
Hello Everyone !
This review is for someone who is a non-native like me (although I feel that e-mat will surely help natives and non-natives alike). Before e-gmat I tried 2 courses for verbal - 1. Manhattan Gmat Verbal and EmpowerGMAT. After completing the above 2 courses I was still struggling to break the 700 mark because of weak sentence correction. I went through the Manhattan SC guide twice along with listening to EmpowerGMAT verbal multiple times but could never feel comfortable doing SC Questions. The problem with EmpowerGMAT is that it relies too much on one's ear. Manhattan GMAT SC guides on the other hand are really good for understanding individual rules but when it comes to applying 3-4 different rules/concepts in real GMAT like questions some how I was always making mistakes. The explanations for OG questions in the book and the online videos are not helpful. The explanations fail to unambiguously convey to the reader why a particular options is right vs why other options are not.. In short the explanations are a lot like the explanations in the OG guide. So after struggling with SC for about 1-1.5 month I decided to give e-gmat a try.
It turned out to be an excellent course and a good value for money. e-gmat teaches you a very methodical approach which can be used for all SC Questions alike without any exceptions. I must say that at first the 3 step approach (Meaning Analysis, Error analysis and options analysis) made me feel like I could never complete the question in 90 odd seconds if I were follow the approach to the letter but as I solved more and more questions (say 20-30 questions) following the same approach my accuracy improved quite a bit and the average time required to solve a SC question went down. Ultimately my verbal score improved from a below par V26 in mock tests to V38 in actual test and I could break the 700 mark.
