I turned to Harry thorough GMAT Ninja after two poor GMAT results following my taking courses from Princeton Review and Target Test Prep. I was struggling from inconsistencies between my official practice tests and the actual GMAT and didn't have a clear path forward. I turned to GMAT tutoring for help knowing that I needed a great GMAT score to get into my target schools.
I initially reached out to GMAT Ninja because I was familiar with their Youtube channel. After watching several of their videos, their approach to GMAT problem solving resonated with me(I found the characteristics that I valued from their Youtube videos certainly carried over into our tutoring sessions). After several emails back and forth with Charles I decided to partner with Harry and give the GMAT another attempt.
Harry immediately set about rebuilding my foundational approach to the GMAT for both Quant and Verbal. This meant eliminating careless errors and easy mistakes that were handicapping me on easy/medium questions. We then focused on getting my timing to be consistent by implementing various techniques and strategies that I didn’t have from my other preparation courses. Lastly we focused on refining problem solving strategies and reviewing mistakes on the harder problems.
In addition to Harry being a phenomenal instructor, here are some other things that stand out. Harry sets a learning environment- I always felt like I could make mistakes without judgement. Harry gives you honest feedback. Overall, Harry is a phenomenal instructor who helped me develop the skills and confidence needed to obtain my 720. My only regret is that I didn’t make the decision to partner with him sooner.

Alex was a phenomenal tutor. And without his help, I do not think I would have been able to achieve my score goal. Alex brings a great blend of motivation and insight into the tutoring process and identifies the issues holding you back from achieving your score goal. Alex's temperament is also unmatched, he is one of if not the most patient people let alone tutors I have met, he allows you to think about why your process may or may not be working and in this introspection is where I seemed to make the most gains in progress toward my score. If anyone I knew was struggling with the GMAT, I would immediately point them in the direction of GMAT Ninja and Alex when looking for an effective and honest tutoring service.

I signed up for tutoring with GMAT Ninja after spending countless months studying on my own with little improvement in my verbal score. During my studies, I'd noticed how thorough and well written the question explanations on GMAT Club were from GMAT Ninja so I reached out to Charles who quickly set me up with Dave Goldstein.
I worked with Dave for roughly 2 months and almost immediately I was able to break past my plateau. We focused the majority of the prep on improving my verbal score with a little quant on the side. Dave offered a comprehensive approach to each verbal question type which allowed me to develop a solid and reliable game plan to tackle any question I came across. Dave's guidance helped me cut out all the fluff and quickly get to the heart of each question. I was thoroughly impressed with how Dave was able to tailor the approach specifically to address my strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to make steady progress at a very fast rate.
Overall, I'm beyond satisfied with Dave and the GMAT Ninja team. I found them to be very professional and pleasant to interact with. Dave was also incredibly flexible and understanding with our tutoring sessions. The workload was very manageable, even with a very demanding day job.
My only regret is that I didn't get started with Dave and the GMAT Ninja team sooner. I can only imagine how much quicker I would've been able to get the GMAT behind me rather than trying to study on my own. There really is a real lack of high quality verbal study materials and I believe the best approach, by far, is to work one-on-one with an experienced tutor. Working with Dave was exactly what I needed to finally achieve the exact target score I was shooting for.
Mike was an excellent tutor all around and was overwhelmingly knowledgeable about the GMAT process. He was extremely organized and catered specifically to my needed areas of improvement. Mike is a tremendous teacher who was able to break down complex problems in an easy to understand manner. Beyond his abilities as a tutor both on the quant and verbal section, Mike was invaluable in providing advice on testing strategy and motivated me to succeed every step of the way. Mike pushed me to succeed beyond what I believed was capable and was a friendly face during a stressful time. I recommended Mike to all of my friends at school and those who used him had similarly great experiences.

Mike is incredible. He went above and beyond to support me and helped me achieve an amazing score. Not only is he a genius when it comes to the test questions themselves, but he understands his students and their needs on a deep level and is willing to put 100% of his effort in to get you to score at your highest potential. He was always willing to go above and beyond to support me, and he made the process enjoyable as well. Mike really knows this test through and through and is able to effectively teach you the techniques and skills you need to excel. Well worth the time, money, and effort. If you want to succeed, he's your guy.

Having studied for GMAT using various resources (Magoosh, TTP, Manhattan Verbal Books, Official Guide) for 9 months, I managed to increase my score from 620 (first attempt) to 680 (second and third attemp) but my score hit the plateau at 680. I didn’t have any problem on quant side(usually scored 49-50) but my verbal scores were inconsistent and far away from my target (fluctuated around 27-34). I was targeting for 700+ score, and I decided to work with a Private tutor. I was always amazed with Gmat Ninja videos on Youtube, so I knocked their door without a second thought.
The level of care and attention they give to their students was apparent even before I started my first session. They really dig into detail about how did I study for gmat, which materials I have used, my practice and actual exam scores and tried to understand my situation. I luckily had a chance to work with Harry. From the moment we start tutoring, he was super attentive and patient. He uncovered each factor that keeps me away from my target score in detail and forced me to apply the right concepts and thought process for approaching each question. He was like a traffic police that calls out and immediately corrects each flaw in my thought process. The only thing left on my part was to follow the steps that Harry laid down for me and be disciplined througout the process. After four sessions with Harry, I felt much more confident on Verbal and increased my accuracy rates significantly. Finally, I passed the 700 barrier and scored 710 (V38-Q49).

Had a great time working with alex in improving overall my gmat score. When signing up for GMAT ninja service i was a bit skeptical how can i improve my score from 650 to 700 in order to make it to my target schoo. Whats most valuable to me was how Alex coached me to approach the GMAT with strategy that suits my situtaion.
Alex constantly reminded me to focus, how to approach specific verbal questions and continuously support my progress.
Alex was also really friendly and casual - he doesnt mind my eating schedule, occasionally snacking on chocolates and toast during the 2 hour of our weekly tutoring

My GMAT journey started in February 2023. After getting familiar with the exam formalities, I bought several guides (the newest OGs (also verbal and quant) and the Kaplan Guide). I faced several difficulties to begin with. First, as a non-native speaker, I had troubles reading complex GMAT passages in a short amount of time and understanding them on a "between the lines"-level. Second, I missed the year in high school where most of the math basics needed for the GMAT were taught, so I had to start from scratch with quant. And finally, taken the first two difficulties together, I obviously did not have the language skills to understand English math expressions.
After a few weeks of studying the basics, working my way through the guides and reading English fiction books and articles (the New Yorker, the Guardian, National Geographic, etc.), I took the first mock exam (btw: for your own good, please DO NOT WASTE THIS VALUABLE RESOURCE!). I scored a 460. One week later, I scored 370 points. Something was wrong, although I studied 6 to 8 hours a day. I knew that I needed guidance to get a grasp of the problem.
I knew GMATNinja through their helpful YouTube videos and GMAT Club posts. I contacted them, but, as they are quite booked, the next free spot opened at the end of April. I continued studying and had my first appointment with Mike via GoogleMeet on April, 27th. In the meantime my mock exam scores improved quite a bit (590, 610, 610). Mike had looked at my attempts in advance and was perfectly prepared. We talked about my approach so far, my goals and worked on a plan on how to achieve them. Also, he provided advice on how to make the most of the remaining material and mock exams. He was very understanding, calm and I always felt like I was in good hands. We went through the quant questions I did wrong during my mock exams and discovered that a lot of them were manageable for me. His expertise put everything into perspective and made me feel more secure. For example, he told me to focus on the easy and medium questions and to let the hard ones go to avoid loosing too much time. Also, he told me to stop investing those endless hours and instead to focus on quality, not quantity. During the classes, we mainly focused on improving my quant scores, because they can be improved more easily in a short amount of time. During the lessons, Mikes explanations were super helpful and I learned a great deal.
I took the first official exam on May 1st, because I did not want to risk it all on one attempt on May 18th. I scored a 550 (Q: 37, V: 28) mostly because I had no time left on verbal and hurried through the last 10 questions and was very worried. But I trusted the process and kept up my pace and work. On the fifth mock exam I scored a 620. My quant score went up and my verbal score stayed solid.
Mike urged me to take things easy during the last days before the exam. On my second attempt, I scored an unbelievable 680 (V: 40, Q: 43). I am still super grateful for the helpful advice, Mikes dedication, patience and support and I would recommend GMATNinja tutoring any time - it is worth every cent.
Also as a hint: Plan your exam early enough! My second attempt had to be revised separately and it took them two weeks. Even when he wasn't my tutor anymore, Mike, and also Charles, provided me with support regarding the revision from GMAC.

Having spent 3 months studying for GMAT as my top priority in my daily schedule, and having completed 2 official examinations with unsatisfactory results, I turned to GMATNinja for assistance.
The GMATNinja site emphasizes their strength accurately and succinctly: "we uncover the fundamental causes of your underperformance on the GMAT."
My own (blunt) version of these words are: if you're having trouble assessing why you're not achieving the scores you want, it's probably because you're focusing on the wrong thing.
Mike helped me shine a light on my blind spots. and I am sure he can for you too. In 5 sessions, he managed to turn my 640 test score to a 730! If you haven't achieved the score you want on a practice / real exam, please do not waste your precious time mindlessly hacking away. Learn from the true professionals at GMAT Ninja.

I worked with Harry who was awesome in order to get me over the edge to hit my score goal. On short notice, he took me on for two sessions. He quickly identified a few improvement items and helped me improve my time management over the course of the two sessions. I found him to be extremely clear in his feedback and candid in where he saw my potential to be on the exam. In the end I improved my score from 700 on 12/17/2022 to 730 on 1/3/2023. The 730 was my target goal and I'm grateful I was referred to Harry who played a big role in getting me there on such short notice..
