Great Experience!

I had a fantastic experience working with Kim. She was super knowledgeable about all of the schools I was interested in and did an amazing job helping me navigating the process. No one in my close circle had gone through the process before, so having someone who was there to help guide me was really helpful. Would highly recommend working with her!

I started working with MBA Mission a bit later in the game, only about a month before my application. I would recommend earlier for a less hectic month, but either way Kim was patient and super helpful throughout the process.

Excellent and Responsive

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Michael helped me to reflect upon why I wanted to get an MBA and create the raw material that would be the foundation of my application. He was then incredibly helpful in assisting me in selecting from all of the data in crafting a compelling story that effectively conveyed why I was an applicant and could be a valuable addition to a prospective program. During the entire process Michael met every deadline and went above and beyond in helping me to think about my applications to schools in addition to the ones within the package. Overall, I could not recommend Michael enough, as I eventually was admitted to CBS.

Excellent Experience

Jessica is a very caring consultant - she always showed a lot of care to get to know me, my story and craft a narrative about what was most important to me. She took the time at short notice to chat, understand my motivations and key life events and then continued to work with me through several iterations to ensure the best possible outcome. She asked the right questions to uncover what it is that I would want out of the MBA and allowed me to submit an authentic application. Her advice was always insightful and provoked me to think critically about my motivations. Would highly recommend working with her to achieve your dream schools!

100% worth the money

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I know it's a big expense but if you really want to get in to a top school - I think this is an essential service and I would recommend everyone getting a consultant. Specifically, Michael could not have been better. He was incredibly knowledgable, prompt, set expectations, provided excellent feedback - I don't think I would have gotten into my top school without him. It wasn't stressful because he helped guide me every step of the way and worked with my time frame to create a customized plan. He truly found what was my best qualities and allowed those to shine for the school I wanted to go to. Can not recommend him more!

Stanford GSB Deferred Admit

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Katy is an absolutely incredible mentor and supporter throughout my application process. Not only was she able to walk me through what Stanford was looking for in the application, but she was also my biggest advocate and encouraged me throughout the discovery process. Katy doesn't do the work for you, but helps you discover your true intentions applying for business schools.

Stanford's essay questions are quite open-ended, and I had a tough time knowing where to start in the beginning. Through Katy's help, I was able to bring my genuine self into the application and that made all the difference.

I honestly would not have applied if it wasn't for Katy, and I am very glad that I did. Therefore, I would highly recommend Katy to anyone looking for an MBA coach and supporter. Thank you Katy for being there every step of the way!!

Far exceeded my expectations!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Harshad was not only my mentor through this process, but he would also become a friend. It becomes abundantly clear while working with him that he cares about the person as well as the results. He was deeply invested in helping me achieve admission into the school of my dreams. I was accepted into my top choice program as a result and would recommend him to anyone applying to business school.
Specifically, I chose Harshad because of his knack for telling untraditional stories, as mine was not your typical business school application. He took on the challenge with enthusiasm. He put in the time and energy to learn about me and thoughtfully helped me craft my story in a way that was polished and effective. His responses and revisions were always timely and well thought out which allowed for my applications to progress at a pace I was very happy with.
Harshad provided invaluable mock interview preparation that strengthened my application immensely. When faced with unexpected and shorter deadlines on one application he worked with me to get everything done on time and the work product exceeded my expectations. His professionalism, experience, and process achieved great results in my case. The best decision I made when applying to business school was deciding to work with Harshad.

Not a great service, not worth the money

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I had Debbie Choy working with me for my application, we filed 3 applications together. Didn't get into any of the colleges. The experience was fruitful enough for me to learn what these guys do and then crack a college on my own but the package for Debbie is way too expensive for internationals. The advice I received was templated advice. Maybe get one school package and then figure things out on your own. Not worth the money. I would suggest not to engage MBA mission consultants if you are an Indian. They don't care much about you even if you don't get in. My consultant didn't even follow up post I was put on the waitlist or offered to help me with more schools which many consulting services do (Free of charge) if you don't get into the schools you worked with them on.

I am sorry, and actually somewhat surprised, to learn that you were unhappy with our work together. The MBA application process is always challenging, and you seemed to understand and accept the possibility of disappointment despite our efforts. As you said to me once in an email, “This application was my best foot forward. No worries though, everything happens for a reason.” I never got the impression that you felt your needs were not being met, and if I had, I would have certainly been happy to offer additional assistance.

I care deeply about all my applicant clients and do my utmost to increase their chances of success, so I am equally disappointed when things do not work out in their favor. You targeted very selective schools, and unfortunately, the reality is that sometimes—and especially in highly competitive seasons—even objectively deserving candidates are denied a spot.

Your description of my advice as templated is also surprising. Although we began with a common brainstorming document, we certainly never use templates. You and I worked with your unique creative inputs, and your submissions were tailored to your personal life experiences and professional goals. During our process, I helped you outline essays for your three target schools, revised each essay no less than six times, finessed your resume, supported your recommenders, and prepped you for interviews, including providing feedback on your Kellogg and Booth video essays. My records also show that we worked together extensively on your waitlist materials. I was always ready to promptly answer any application-related questions you might have and even extended my support beyond my traditional responsibilities to advise you when you were deciding between job offers!

I wish you the best in the future and hope that if you choose to reapply one day, you will find success.

Sincerely,
Debbie

Fantastic end-to-end application support

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I worked with Kate during the 2021-22 application cycle. I started out the MBA application process largely unsure of where to start. Kate provided immensely valuable end-to-end guidance, including school selection given my stats and background, potential essay narratives based on my story, resume clean-up, essay review, and ultimately interview prep. Having an expert to provide direction along the way gave me the confidence I needed throughout the entire process!

My outcomes were extremely positive – I applied to 4 M7s, received 4/4 interview invites, and was ultimately accepted to Kellogg (my top choice) and CBS. I was thrilled to say the least and attribute so much of my success to Kate’s support! I can’t recommend Kate enough!

HBS 2+2 Admit

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I reached out to Katy to prep for HBS 2+2 interview after seeing glowing reviews online, especially for deferred admissions. She did not disappoint. She is the best deferred admissions coach to work with and had a lot of knowledge and insights to bring to the table. For the mock interview, she also thoroughly reviewed my application and created a list of questions that were centered around my profile. I was extremely nervous initially and she even offered to have a second short warm-up session before my interview which made me feel more prepared. After the interview, she took the time to chat with me about my choices. I highly recommend Katy to any applicant out there hoping for the best shot at their dream schools.

Admitted to HBS 2+2 from India thanks to Katy!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I am an Indian applicant from one of the leading tech institutes in the country, with a background in technology and computer science. I initially found the applications for HBS and Stanford GSB very daunting, and I spoke to my mentor, an HBS alumnus, about this. He shared his experience working with Katy and recommended that I work with her. From the first consultation call, I knew I had found the right fit - she was honest about the work I would have to put in and the areas in which she could support me. I was also impressed that she had taken a deep dive into my background to ensure that she had the proper context about me. Thus, I decided to work with her, even though I was a bit late with the applications, with barely two months remaining before the deadline.

Once I started working with her, I could take a structured approach to the applications of HBS and Stanford GSB. She ensured that I presented my story and gave me mindful and well-thought suggestions that significantly improved my presentation in the applications. In the end, I was confident that through the applications, I provided a holistic picture of myself and presented why I wanted to join a business school and how the deferred program would benefit my long-term goals. All this while, she was brutally honest about my chances in different schools. When I was rejected from Stanford, she gave me detailed reasons why I might have been left behind. She also provided me the confidence to reapply a few years later if needed. When I was invited to interview within a week by HBS, she went above and beyond to ensure that I would be relaxed and well prepared for the interview.

I have learned a lot about myself and have been able to discover my inner ambitions and motivations. The journey has been transformative, and having a deferred admit from HBS makes the experience even sweeter. I owe a lot to Katy for helping me through the journey, and I would recommend any serious b-school applicant to work with her.
