Dan R Is a Dream!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I was recently admitted to Wharton R1, which would not have done it without the help and support of Dan Richards.

I began working with Dan in February. From the beginning, he was an invaluable resource and advocate who I was thankful to have in my corner throughout the overwhelming and time-consuming application process. We began working together early on in the application process, and he started by helping me narrow down my target list. Upon completing the brainstorming document, which became my foundation throughout the entire process, Dan carefully helped me position my candidacy. Dan pushed me to connect the dots into a compelling story. In doing so, he helped guide me through the essay process, crafting strong essays that added to my story while addressing key themes. Having Dan there to help edit and tighten the language was invaluable, and my application was so much stronger as a result. He was straightforward and critical, which helped me and my application monumentally.

No task was too mundane or question too small for Dan. He read through all of my in-application, short answer responses and also did a last read on my final application. Dan answered my multitude of questions with great patience and sincerity.

Additionally, Dan’s guidance in updating my resume to be more results-oriented was a game-changer. He pushed me to quantify the results and make it more action-forward, which was critical to my success and will continue to serve me well long after school.

Finally, Dan was incredibly quick in his responses. He often delivered feedback, including substantial essay edits, in a fraction of the typical MBA Mission turnaround window. I am incredibly thankful for his responsiveness and punctuality. It certainly helped move the process along and made things much less stressful.

Dan made what can be an overwhelming, exhausting and intense process a lot less painful. It was nice to have an advocate, an advisor and another person to bounce ideas off of throughout the process. While half the battle was done long before I made the decision to apply, I would not have achieved my goals without Dan. I am forever grateful to him and could not recommend him or his services. He cares about his clients and will help get you in to the top MBA programs of your dreams!

Kate is an invaluable resource for applying to top 10 MBA programs

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I was recently admitted to HBS, Wharton, Tuck and Kellogg and this would not have been possible without Kate's guidance.

I worked with Kate early on to identify key themes for my essays and to craft my responses in ways that were clear, powerful and tailored to characteristics and themes relevant to each MBA program.

Kate's insights were supportive, directive and timely. Iterating on my essays with Kate allowed me to hone my written responses and in doing so, helped me narrate my story for interviews as well. mbaMission's school specific and interview prep materials were also incredibly helpful in my process and continue to be as I transition from MBA applicant to MBA student.

During a very stressful / time intensive process, I always felt better knowing Kate was "on my side" and felt comfortable reaching out with any question, big or small.

I would recommend Kate's services to any MBA candidates, at any step in their process!

Highly Recommended for MBA Interview Prep

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I was recently admitted to one of my top choice MBA programs, and I credit Michael for helping me with that.

Michael and I performed a mock interview and he provided feedback during / after the session that pointed out key areas of improvement to help with my story. He and I covered the most frequently asked questions, and for each question he was able to help me expand on my prepared answers, as well as identify specific points that I should / should not mention. This approach allowed me to better understand the perspective of the interviewer, which enabled me to also properly prepare for a list of extra (less common) questions that he provided at the end of our mock interview.

While going into this mock interview I felt that I had a good grasp on my story, Michael helped me develop my answers to a new depth. I highly recommend working with Michael for your MBA application pursuits!

Great Experience With Consultant!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I began working with Rachel after taking the GMAT twice and beginning the application process. I shopped around quite a bit (I spoke to 5 other consultants). Rachel was by far the most genuine - she has a way of being candid without being overly harsh.

Rachel was blunt upfront that she thought I needed to get my GMAT score higher to get into Columbia (my number one choice). But when I explained I wasn't willing to do that she didn't dwell and we immediately got to work doing all the other things we could to make my application as strong as possible.

I really liked Rachel's brainstorming method upfront. It seems like a lot of leg work but it forces you to really think through your narrative, and she helps you highlight things you might not have even thought were noteworthy.

Rachel also has great insight into what information the school actually want you to provide in your essays, which usually isn't exactly what the essay question actually asks.

Rachel always provided prompt responses and was very clear upfront about how to best work with her. My only regret is that I didn't start working with her earlier on in the process since I paid a flat fee.

In the end I got into Columbia, and I think it had a lot to do with the strong essays that Rachel helped me right. She is a journalist in training and she's an amazing editor. She also had great advice with other part of my app, like taking the HBX Core math course to boost my quant profile.

Overall, I would definitely spend the money to work with Rachel again. She was instrumental in me getting into the business school I really wanted to go to.

Thank you Rachel Beck (MBA Mission)

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I initially was matched with Rachel during MBA Mission's free 30 minute consultation. She was extremely helpful at helping me develop a strategy to go about tackling the application process and I felt that her expertise would be vital to writing strong essays.

I worked with Rachel on an hourly basis where she assisted with everything from Resume formatting, topic generation, and essay editing for a number of different programs. She was always on-time in providing back updates or ideas and was excellent at pushing me to take the next step in my essays.

At the end of the day Rachel was extremely helpful and worth every penny. I owe her a great deal for successfully getting into some of my top choice schools.

Confidence Boosting Consultant

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

This review is long overdue, which is somewhat fitting as my application probably would have been too if it wasn’t for Harshad. There is not a doubt in my mind that I would not have gotten into Chicago Booth if it wasn’t for him. I may not have even applied if it wasn’t for him encouraging me and giving me the confidence through all of my self-doubt.

On a number of occasions after I made the decision to apply, I second guessed myself. Wondering if instead I should take some classes at the Graham school to show that my undergrad GPA wasn’t something the adcom needed to worry about, or if my lower end of the range GMAT and low quant score would ruin my chances of admission. Harshad helped me keep focus, reminding me that although I didn’t have the best stats, I had a unique story which he helped me shape and reiterate.

Harshad’s true strength lies in being not only an honest critic, but in being a very good story teller. He was able to analyze my life stories and help me come up with not only an application I was proud of, but one that was good enough to get me into my dream school. If you want someone authentic who will give you structure and no BS, Harshad is the consultant for you. He’s a great judge of character and from what I’ve read about him and experienced for myself, he knows how to get people into schools that they may not feel they have a chance at.

Long story short, work with Harshad if you’re the type that tends to procrastinate and second guess yourself. Harshad doesn’t make time for any of that nonsense. If he believes in you, you better believe in you, because the man has a track record of getting people in.

Excellent services

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I am writing to give my recommendation to Dan at mbaMission. He is straightforward, efficient, and reliable.

He was recommended by my friend, who got into Kellogg with a big scholarship.

Dan was excellent at finding strong and unique points of my story to reflect them in my application. He is also very critical and don't expect him to sugarcoat his comments about your application, which is a good thing and I enjoyed working with him. I got accepted to Booth, Tuck, and was able to leverage his recommendation to get accepted by some other schools that I applied by myself.

I am happy with his services and would totally recommend Dan to any applicants.

Patient and Encouraging Advisors!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I was referred to mbaMission through a friend who'd applied a few years before me. I didn't yet know anything about the MBA app process, and even before I committed to the package my (future) tutor Dan Richards took the time to lay everything out for me and explain what I could expect. Throughout the process of working with him he was patient, encouraging, and most importantly honest with me - Dan was very honest about where he thought I'd fit in and be happy, as well as where he thought I could stretch to. He also gave very concrete steps I could take to make myself a better applicant and portray my best story. Lastly, the greatest benefit I received from Dan was connections - he made sure to connect me with current or former students from my target schools, so I could learn more, feel comfortable, and have great stories to tell in interviews. Having access to former clients at top schools is a serious plus. I highly recommend Dan and have had an overall excellent experience!

The best consultant I could have hoped for

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Debbie is the go-to consultant if you someone to hand-hold you through the application process. She is brutally honest and gives great constructive feedback. Yes, all consultants are expensive, but since every applicant is using one, you will be at a disadvantage if you decide to embark on this journey alone. Despite not having the best work experience, I got accepted into an M7 school and even got an interview with HBS.

Debbie was great throughout the entire process and I never felt overwhelmed. In the beginning, she literally had me write my life story out and we had a great conversation about which stories/themes I should be highlighting in my essays. She was very collaborative during this discussion. At the same time, if you are going down the wrong rabbit hole, she will not hesitate to stop you and she saved me a lot of time in that regard. Once we figured out the target schools, Debbie created a timeline for me for each school so I knew how to pace myself.

In regards to the essays, Debbie had a call with me to give me some tips on how to tackle every essay question. Next, she requested that I provided her with an outline of my essay structure. After further comments, I finally got to the essay writing part. All this prep work up front really saved me time on writing the essay. There was some back and forth after the initial essay draft and Debbie always replied within two business days. She even reviewed the extra questions in the application package.

Once I got the good news on the interview invites, she will give you a sample of questions the school usually asks in preparation for the mock interview. You really need to be on top of your game on this one because it really felt like a real interview. After each question, Debbie will give live feedback and once again, she is not afraid to tell you if your answer was way off the mark. I appreciated the honesty as that helped me focus on the subset of questions I needed to hone in on.

To summarize, Debbie was a fantastic partner in this process and I couldn’t have done it without her.

Best MBA Consultant on the Market

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I worked with Michael on brainstorming my MBA story and on a few of my MBA essays. I couldn't be happier with the results! Michael is a natural story teller, and will help you craft your MBA application into a convincing story for the admissions team. This is probably one of the more important factors of applying to an MBA program. So feel confident that Michael will walk you through the process with precision and expertise.

Michael is also very responsive and went the extra mile with every essay we worked on. I 100% feel that I got my money's worth. The process is also very easy – send him an email, and he will review the work within two days. Smooth as can be!

To sum it up, my experience was fantastic. I was put on the waitlist for a few of the top 15 schools, which is a huge accomplishment so far since my GMAT and GPA were on the low end. If anyone there is in the same situation, just hire Michael to get your story in place!
