it calculates takt time, which is quite an interesting concept-basically tells you in how much time you can expect yourself to get a correct answer. it calculates this individually for cr/sc/rc

also the ability tests tell you your weak spots in all of cr/sc/rc without wasting much of your time. So that you jump into prepping for topics that you're weak in.

it is convenient to use.

cons: the passages of cr/rc are difficult but not difficult from gmat perspective. if one has solved enough official gmat questions you'll instantly know the difference. scholaranium is great to build your skills, but stick to og questions once scholaranium has built your skills and helped you develop certain thinking patterns.

Most test prep companies dont press the constant feedback approach (MGMAT for eg has countless rules for verbal SC but does not stress enough on the application part). egmat scholaranium helps to bridge that gap when preparing for verbal. It provides quick feed back of the learned concepts and the ability reached in each topic/section. Ultimately one should target for an ability level of 70%+ in each section to excel in the verbal. This is a great test to complement the egmat verbal live prep course material!

I highly recommend this test for non natives as a litmus test of the learned concepts. In fact you can also take this test coming from other prep materials to check your understanding level of the concepts. Good luck with your prep.

I found difficulty level and language of the questions in scholaranium a bit harder than gmat prep Hard questions. The hard questions in scholarnium are set to trap you and many times I find myself wondering is GMAT going to be that tricky? Yes they are hard questions but the answer choices are so tricky you find yourself unconvinced with the explanation there. Nevertheless, These traps just makes you better prepared for the exams and hence my title.

The good thing is they have the options such as difficulty level ,time and sections to customise your needs. But their ability quizzes are pretty good indication on your understanding of a topic and your weakness areas.

I wish they have more questions here so I can keep on attempting ability quizzes without penalising my self at a full fledged verbal test. overall this is a great resource if you aim for anything >V40.

I realised that I had got only superficial knowledge in Verbal section. I went online to review a full courses and ended up taking e-gmat Verbal online. Believe me, but that was one of the best decisions that I made in my GMAT journey. Their courses are very thorough and the supplementing articles are very informative. I started my GMAT journey as others by taking a mock test. I scored a dismal 530. Someone had told me that whatever you score on a 1st mock you can improve your score by 100 maximum. Being an India IT male with a degree from avg private university I knew that I needed to score greater than 700. I was disappointed but I didn't lose hope.
I started preparing with MGMAT guide books. I studied those for about 4-5 months and took MGMAT CATs as per course design. My score did improve by 100, and after 4-5 months I was getting score in the range of 610-640 but this surely was not enough given my background. Then I met a friend of mine who recently BeatTheGMAT by scoring 740. He introduced me to e-GMAT, explaining me how well the course is designed and how beneficial it is for non-natives.
Taking his advice I bought GMAT online course from e-GMAT. The course content, as reviewed by fellow learners here and advised by my friend, is surely designed in such a manner that helps learning. The focus on ‘understanding meaning’ before jumping to answer choices has changed my perspective and has helped me grasp things with clarity.
The most important feature which e-GMAT provides is the Scholaranium, it surely is God send. I cannot find more apt definition for ability quizzes than this one which I found on a blog – “Ability Quizzes take accuracy out of the equation and give you a true estimate of your proficiency. The best thing – you can take an ability quiz in as little as 30 minutes and figure out where you need to focus next for maximum impact. Moreover, the vast question bank ensures that you can take multiple ability quizzes to track your improvement.”
Now one might think why I shall take ability quizzes from Scholaranium and not a full length mocks which will help me build stamina too. Consider you completed Critical reasoning section and you want to measure your ‘ability’ for this section, taking a Mock at this moment will be like wasting an attempt and it will impact your confidence.
I have taken mocks in past when I was preparing with MGMAT materials. Now, I have been taking ability quizzes from Quants Scholaranium and Verbal Scholaranium from last 1 month and I feel more confident to crack 700 mark. I will be writing my GMAT soon and I will keep everyone updated once I am done.

I found difficulty level and language of the questions in scholaranium at par with gmac questions.
And different options such as difficulty level ,time and sections is helping me to prepare better and push harder.
It will be more help ful if each section e. g SC , gets bisected to different topics.
Over all it gives good Analysis of strengths nd weakne sses and elapsed time . It is certainly an essent ial tool for gmat preparation coupled with con cept videos.

Along with GMAT club platform, this test series provides a great source to all the aspirants. Though I have taken only few quizzes, but I like the way in which the answers/explanation to each solution is provided. The question are well categorized. The different modes are very useful when you are just practising and not in a mood of giving exam. The flexibility of choosing no of question along with topics is of great help in practising the area of weakness. On some occasions, I felt that few questions are overrated. Rest I like the test and looking forward to fully exploit the resource.
