I started my GMAT journey last March, when COVID shut everything down. I figured it'd be a great time to shut myself in and prepare for a few months. When I started studying, I took a diagnostic test from the GMAT Official Guide, and I remember stopping something like 15 questions in because I was guessing on every single question. I didn't remember any math at all from my high school days, and I didn't study math in college either. I never got my diagnostic score because I was so bad at it I couldn't even finish the exam.
I tried the Target Test Prep trial version and found it very accessible and well constructed. After the trial ran out, I bought a subscription and started studying for 1-2 hours a day every day. I only used it for Quant, and over the past year, I re-learned everything I had forgotten about math over the past decade. I found TTP to be extremely helpful. The video explanations and problem solutions were easy to understand, the pacing of the course was perfect for me while I worked a full time job, and the lessons were constantly updated to be more comprehensive. I took the GMAT last month and scored a 50V / 48Q / 770 total, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without TTP. I don't know what my original score would have been since I quit the diagnostic halfway through, but I imagine I improved by a margin of at least 150 points, if not over 200. Strongly recommend for anyone struggling with math like I was!

Loved the Target Test Prep service - it allowed me to work on my own time and really grind on the Quant. It can seem a bit minimalist, but I really enjoyed how simple the lessons were and TTP was always on hand in case I had any additional questions. The videos were also very insightful and really focused on understanding the concepts rather then gaming the test. I also liked the feeling of incremental growth as TTP employed a tracker that indicated where you were on your progress. Would definitely recommend to those starting out or are unsure about your time commitment as it is very flexible!
I can't recommend TTP enough. Coming from a zero quantitative background, I studied for 4 months with a group of education professionals. The result of my first two attempts was disappointing for my aspirations: I scored 640 and 680 (with a Q42 in both). I knew that my Quant section had to go up in order to achieve a higher overall score but I didn't feel comfortable nor did I grasp every topic from the basics. I decided to start a flexible plan with TTP, set a target score of 46-48 in Quant, and went through every section, exercise, and practice test. After 3 months, I was confident enough to give the GMAT a new try and managed to get a 710 (Q47, V42)! TTP rocks.

720 Q45 V44 (Online)
I started my prep process with a Q42 on an official GMAC practice test and, within a month, had bumped up to a Q47/710 on a real GMAT exam. The math preparation in Target Test Prep is comprehensive, clear and attainable even if you haven't been steeped in quant experience for work. It's long, but worth the effort because it exposes you to almost all of the tested concepts on the quant section. The surprise benefit for me was the verbal section. I went through it fairly quickly and was able to improve from a V38 on my first official practice test to a V44/720 on my second sitting for the real GMAT exam. Thanks to Scott and team for creating a stellar product and for being personally available when I had questions or reached out.
After 4 tries and 2 years, I finally got the score I want and I am happy to have chosen TTP in my most recent GMAT preparation!
My first attempt was in March 2019, and I got a 650 (Q 47; V 32). I was in my last year of college back then, and I underestimated the difficulty of GMAT.
I started studying for the GMAT again during the pandemic, planning to retake it online in June 2020. However, after studying for about half a year and having finished all of Manhattan materials, I still wasn’t able to break the 700 barrier; I got a 680 (Q 48; V 35). My friend who took the GMAT herself and got a 760 recommended TTP to me. I was able to chat with Scott and Jeff from TTP. They gave me advice and prompted me to do a lot of introspection to understand what went wrong with my 6-month prep - my prep was not structured at all and I did not really keep track of the topics that I did not do well on.
TTP was able to help me structure my studying. In the beginning, I used TTP for Verbal as I had the greatest trouble in CR and SC (I am not a native speaker). The Verbal chapters are very thorough and I liked the chapter quizzes. The hard TTP questions are really tough, but they challenged me to really understand the concepts. Near the end of my GMAT prep, I used TTP custom tests to review for Quant. The custom tests are super helpful. I got a lot of practices on my weakest topics (such as geometry, probability, and rates) and got to build up my test-taking stamina.
After approximately 4 months of using TTP (in combination with some purchased OG practice questions/mock exams), I started scoring between 730 and 770 on the OG mock exams. Unfortunately, I scheduled my second online attempt during a period when I was super busy at work. I got 640 (Q 48; V 30). However, I knew that my work related stress had definitely affected my score and that I could do way better had I scheduled my test at a less busy time.
In April 2021, I renewed my TTP subscription and drilled myself using custom tests.
Finally, I was able to score a 770 (Q 50; V 45) in May 2021 at a test center. I would like to thank everyone at TTP for creating great content! To those who are preparing for GMAT, definitely try out TTP!
I used TPP during a period of 10 months, mostly focusing on quant but also using their verbal beta version. I studied approx 18-20 hours per week (additional to my full time job and family time - avg 2 hours during weekdays - 4 hours per day on weekends). I think I spent honestly much more time than I needed on the GMAT prep, but I guess I am a bit control freak. The TPP prep should last less than 6 months if you start from 0 (and at the same pace as me).
I started my GMAT prep with little to no knowledge of the quant part. I started with the usual OG diagnostic and quickly realized my math suc... (low 30s). So I then looked up on the internet for efficient courses and went with another provider first, which hasn't been a great experience. When looking online the reviews, I saw that TPP had the best ones, so I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I just not regret to have paid that course.
The content is just super thorough, and the tool is really intuitive and interactive. You go from lesson to lesson, everything is explained really clearly, especially for someone like me who had no prior experience of test taking and little memories of math in high school and college after 7 years of professional experience. The part that I liked the most was that TPP makes you do a loooottt of problems, and the analytics help you see your weak points.
I have taken 7 mock tests before my official GMAT and I scored Q50-51 in of the GMAT off. tests (and a q44 + q46 for the 2 manhattan ones). My final, and unique, GMAT score was a 730 with a Q49 (tests anxiety I guess). There wasn't any question on the mocks or the official test that I had not seen during my prep. The experience has been honestly enjoyable.
Thanks to Scott and TPP team!
I took the target test 5 day trial and fell in love with the way all chapters were explained and key points were mentioned in tiny boxes. Along with that they also had example questions and solutions for the concept being taught. They have small 15 question tests for each chapter/ topic and are distributed in three categories - easy, medium, hard. they also mention the accuracy that you should be getting on these mini-tests. Overall, Target Test Prep makes sure that each chapter/topic is tackled one at a time and you are almost bulletproof in that area before you move on to the next one. It helped me start from scratch and reach a Q48 level. Hands down one of the best courses for Quant.
I used TTP for the total of 3 months and I must admit, it is so far the best source for studying that I used.
My GMAT journey has been long and tough. I am not a fan of standarized, time-constrained tests like this one and in my country, the GMAT is an exam virtually unknown to people. Therefore, there were no good schools or tutors who could help me. I believe my baseline score was around 540. My biggest problem was certainly time management (not being able to apply high school knowledge in timely manner) and convoluted language in the verbal part.
TTP Gmat course helped me in that it showed me my strengths and weaknesses. Chapter tests were very helpful, most of the explanations were also satisfying. Before starting TTP my Quant was strong 44/45. After I finished the course, I easily scored 48 in my real exam. Although I think, that if you want to score 50 or 51, you need to use more sources other than TTP, I still can recommend this course for people who have problem with some logical/quant concepts and their application.
Regarding Verbal pre-launch part, this course has been pretty eye-opening. My score jumped from strong 30 to 35 in just about a month!
I finished the whole course and if you want to save your time, money, and nerves, definitely go for TTP!
My gmat journey in a nutshell:
1. GMAT online 560 (I did not like the form of the online GMAT at all. It felt different from mock exam. Let's just forget this one...)- taken in October 2020
In the test center:
2. 600
3. 620 (and after this one I started to use TTP)
4. 640
5. 690 - taken in May 2021
TTP is a rigorous course that delves deep into making sure that you understand all of the fundamentals. I thought I was pretty good at maths but after taking the TTP diagnostic test I realised my knowledge was very rusty. TTP sets out all the topics in a nice understandable layout, and constantly provides numerous mini exercises throughout each chapter to make sure you have understood the material you are reading, each with their own valuable video explanation. The quality of the questions is extremely high, which means you get used to the hard questions you will encounter on the GMAT. I studied the material for 3/4 months and went from a 590 to a 710! Highly recommend.

I am a non-native English student (Argentina) and initially, I started studying using Kaplan and the GMAT Official Guide books but had difficulties tracking and keep the time under 2 minutes and was getting a 650-670 score in my mocks. A friend of mine recommended Target Test Prep to improve my math score. I tried the USD 1 trial to get 5-day access to the platform and loved it, it was truly great. After 4 months of hard study, I was getting a mock score of 710-750 and finishing the math section with 4-5 minutes left and scoring 49-50. I am not going to lie, to get these score I had to study a lot and invest many hours but TargetTestPrep gave me all the tools to succeed. There are 2 other things I loved about TTP:
1) The excellent customer service They answered my questions in a matter of minutes
2) They not only help to build knowledge but also to build confidence.
I highly recommend trying TTP for yourself, the $1 trial gives you a 5-day chance to test out their program. You won't regret it.
