After 4 tries and 2 years, I finally got the score I want and I am happy to have chosen TTP in my most recent GMAT preparation!
My first attempt was in March 2019, and I got a 650 (Q 47; V 32). I was in my last year of college back then, and I underestimated the difficulty of GMAT.
I started studying for the GMAT again during the pandemic, planning to retake it online in June 2020. However, after studying for about half a year and having finished all of Manhattan materials, I still wasn’t able to break the 700 barrier; I got a 680 (Q 48; V 35). My friend who took the GMAT herself and got a 760 recommended TTP to me. I was able to chat with Scott and Jeff from TTP. They gave me advice and prompted me to do a lot of introspection to understand what went wrong with my 6-month prep - my prep was not structured at all and I did not really keep track of the topics that I did not do well on.
TTP was able to help me structure my studying. In the beginning, I used TTP for Verbal as I had the greatest trouble in CR and SC (I am not a native speaker). The Verbal chapters are very thorough and I liked the chapter quizzes. The hard TTP questions are really tough, but they challenged me to really understand the concepts. Near the end of my GMAT prep, I used TTP custom tests to review for Quant. The custom tests are super helpful. I got a lot of practices on my weakest topics (such as geometry, probability, and rates) and got to build up my test-taking stamina.
After approximately 4 months of using TTP (in combination with some purchased OG practice questions/mock exams), I started scoring between 730 and 770 on the OG mock exams. Unfortunately, I scheduled my second online attempt during a period when I was super busy at work. I got 640 (Q 48; V 30). However, I knew that my work related stress had definitely affected my score and that I could do way better had I scheduled my test at a less busy time.
In April 2021, I renewed my TTP subscription and drilled myself using custom tests.
Finally, I was able to score a 770 (Q 50; V 45) in May 2021 at a test center. I would like to thank everyone at TTP for creating great content! To those who are preparing for GMAT, definitely try out TTP!
