Target Test Prep was incredible!! Hands down the best at what they do (i.e. GMAT quant). I had used other programs, including MGMAT and Magoosh before and for quant, there was no comparison to TTP. I used TTP’s online self-paced program but also worked one-on-one with a tutor in the final 5 weeks leading up to my test.

The online program is very well designed such that once you finish a chapter on a particular topic, you feel very comfortable with the material (b/c you've also been doing practice problems along the way that are built-in to the chapters). Beyond that, I really liked the ability to do practice sets via topic or build customized p-sets, and most importantly that all of the data analytics were available to you so you could clearly gauge what topics, questions types, etc. you needed to improve on.

As for the one-on-one tutoring, I would HIGHLY recommend Scott! He has clearly mastered the GMAT math content and it is evident in the techniques and approaches to specific problem types he is able to teach.

Particularly for my learning style, being able to say "I'm struggling with X,Y, Z topic " and then have Scott not only walk me through it, but also ensure I understood it by doing several more similar problems was very helpful. Something that would have typically taken me many more hours of trying to understand on my own, was usually cleared up in a few minutes, then drilled down to make sure I truly felt comfortable with it.

The combination of one-on-one tutoring WITH the online TTP program was key though. I would not have had the fundamentals to make our tutoring sessions as effective otherwise. The one-on-one sessions combined with the online program were a complete game-changer for my GMAT studies. This is undoubtedly what moved me from a 650 to 700. And for the record, it’s important to that I started studying for my GMAT in earnest with a very short timeline before I had to take my test to be eligble for R2 b-school apps (about 6 weeks). I know that had I started with TTP earlier my score would have easily been higher than this, but my goal given my timeframe was to get into the 700s club, which I did!

I’m still in the middle of the R2 process, but I am extremely happy to have been thus far extended interview invites for 4 out of 6 top 20 MBA programs I applied to. Don’t think I would have had the same outcome if I hadn’t raised my score with TTP! Great program! Cannot say it enough.

I started my GMAT journey in September. Quickly reviewing some reviews online, I decided to purchase the Manhattan books. After a few weeks of studying, I thought the books were a little boring to read and didn’t have much structure to my study plan. I knew I had to find a better game plan if I wanted to be successful in the test. I decided to turn to people in my network who had taken the GMAT. A friend, who is currently at HBS and had struggled with the quant portion of the test, recommended Target Test Prep to me.
I signed up for the 5 day trial and immediately loved the platform. The course is very interactive, comprehensive and provides a detailed study plan. I was able to drill down on concepts I was struggling with and move faster on what I understood well. It was a perfect way to structure my study time for the quant portion of the exam. After completing all the lessons, I scheduled an exam date at the beginning of December and scored a Q44. I was very disappointed as I knew I could do a lot better in the quant section. I decided to reach out to Jeff and scheduled some tutoring sessions. As I was pressed for time and wanted to meet the R2 deadlines, I was ready to do anything to improve. I scheduled a few sessions with Jeff and in just a few hours he was able to assess some of my key weaknesses and provide me with insightful tips on how to improve my test taking strategy. I wrote the exam 20 days later and improved my score to a 710, Q47 (which was sufficient for most of my target schools). I am confident that if I had continued to do a few more hours with Jeff, I could of have increased my quant score even higher. I scored a 740 on the GMAT with only three weeks of studying, due primarily to my usage of Target Test Prep's Flex Plan to target quantitative. I stumbled across this program really late in the study process. I hadn't been studying and had scheduled the exam for 2 weeks from the date I signed up. Knowing that Math would be my weakest point, I needed a rigorous program that would allow me to both concentrate on specific areas of weakness, provide timely feedback, and build on my foundation. In short I was in an impossible situation, trying to cram and relearn math in short order.

The program was fantastic in helping me achieve my goal, boosting my Quant score by 20 points in less than a week of dedicated study. I highly recommend starting the program with enough time to complete the course start to finish, as I think I would have easily added another 30 points.

The flexible pricing and the depth of information is another major benefit of this; given the intensive and time consuming demands of my job, I knew I would not be able to complete a standard course, but I think this program would be even better for someone who is really focused on quant!

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff for six months on GMAT Prep. Given my busy schedule at work I had to take a long time off the GMAT studying at one point but Jeff was able to bring me back up to speed really quickly through a focused program and I ended up improving my Total GMAT score by 70 points. For me as a student he ticks most of the important boxes: He responds to questions very quickly, very flexible to schedule time with, can simply very hard concepts, is able to design study plans specific to your weaknesses, will up with you regularly and keep you on schedule, is someone who is very motivating and encouraging and knows the GMAT really well. The first time I took the GMAT (2013, undergrad), I scored a 710. I started studying again a few months ago and tried all the prep materials out there: Manhattan’s practice tests, Veritas’ question bank, Magoosh question bank, etc.

Target Test Prep had exactly what I needed to crack the 700 barrier again and score a 730 - categorized quant content, study plans (long or short depending on timeframe), and a continuous feedback loop. I actually kept a spreadsheet where I classified each incorrect answer (geometry, number properties, etc.) as well as the reason that I got it wrong (stupid mistake, poor understanding of content, etc.). TTP had this built in, which really helped focus my studying with the limited time I have. Their approach is by far the best, and has an excellent price point.

Target Test Prep is the absolute best resource for Quant preparation. After getting a 70 point increase in my GMAT score, I can't imagine that anyone would not see an improvement their Quant score after properly following through with the Target course. I did a number of other courses before doing Target, and I wish I had just gone straight to Target and not have spent my money on the others. All of the topics and approaches that I felt like I didn't understand after the other courses were thoroughly covered by Target.

The Target course format is comprehensive, easy to understand, and effective. Math topics are covered starting from the basics, which may seem excessive, but trust me, you don't realize how crucial those basics are until you see how much your score improves. The structure and content of the lessons were great, and the example problems in each lesson really highlighted how each concept is applied on the GMAT.

The real key to success of the course, in my opinion, are the practice tests after each lesson. The practice tests are what really test your understanding and will highlight things you thought you knew but actually didn't understand when it came time to execute. For your tailored study program, you will be given accuracy goals for the tests; make sure you do all the tests and hit all the accuracy goals. I was short on study time before one of my earlier GMAT dates, so I made the mistake of skipping tests and just flying through reading the lessons. The Target program will flash constant alerts at you if you do not follow the recommended study plan and complete the tests -- trust me, they know what they're talking about, follow the study plan if you want the best outcome for your score.

I am simply not a math person. English, yes. I was an English major and a prolific reader so I was not overly concerned with the verbal section of th GMAT. Math, on the other hand... I have done well in math courses but always struggled in math standardized testing. So, I was already dreading the quant section of the GMAT from the get go.

Though I had attempted to start studying in 2016, I was not yet motivated enough to take it seriously and quickly stopped. I began studying again in March 2017 once I had MBA programs in mind. I went through the OG guides, solved every problem, sat the exam in mid-August, and ultimately scored a disappointing Q31.

At this point I reached out to Scott at Target Test Prep and he calmed me down and set me on a path to success. I restarted the Targe Test Prep quant course and this time finished every module and every exam, all with continued encouragement from Scott and Jeff.

I sat the exam again in December and scored a Q44. I never would have been able to get there without Scott and the team at Target Test Prep. I highly recommend the course, not just for how comprehensive and beautifully designed it is, but for the human touch Scott and Jeff bring.

This is hands down the perfect course if you are struggling with quant (or suspect that you will struggle) for the GMAT. It is extremely thorough, comprehensive and detailed for you to gain confidence solving every single problem you can encounter on the GMAT. I liked the structure in which they make you master each section/type of problem before going to the next. That really allowed me to be confident in each section and that percolated to test day.

Beyond serving as the best practice tool I encountered, it also ideal to learn concepts from zero, or help with concepts you might have been struggling with. For example, I was really bad at Combinations and Permutations, but after TTP it was one of my strongest areas, the same with Geometry. The videos are detailed enough for you to easily understand and master the skills needed for each type of problem regardless of your level of expertise.

In summary, this is the only course I'd recommend for quant and would save any potential candidate lots of time and money to start their quant training with TTP. Plus, Jeff and Scot were always helpful answering any questions (academic or test related) I had during the process. TTP is 100% worth your money and more importantly your time.
