I started studying for the GMAT in early November. I had been told to just do as many practice problems as possible, but after a week I found that I was constantly making mistakes and not truly learning. That's where TTP comes into the picture. A friend recommended the course to me and it was truly a gamechanger.

The module layout of TTP makes learning the material somewhat fun! Each day I would set a goal of completing a specific module or a question set. The methodology they teach is very straightforward and in depth.

I used TTP from Nov - May and took my first attempt on May 1st. It didn't go as planned (test anxiety) and I ended up scoring a 690. I knew that I could do better, so I reached out to the guys at TTP and they examined my ESR with me and we made a game plan together. Marty even gave me his personal cell phone number and we set up a chat! This gave me tremendous confidence going into my second attempt just 3 weeks later. My second attempt went very well and I ended up with my goal score of 740!

TTP is truly the best. Their quant, SC, and CR are all that you need for success on the GMAT!

I am a non-native English student (Argentina) and initially, I started studying using Kaplan and the GMAT Official Guide books but had difficulties tracking and keep the time under 2 minutes and was getting a 650-670 score in my mocks. A friend of mine recommended Target Test Prep to improve my math score. I tried the USD 1 trial to get 5-day access to the platform and loved it, it was truly great. After 4 months of hard study, I was getting a mock score of 710-750 and finishing the math section with 4-5 minutes left and scoring 49-50. I am not going to lie, to get these score I had to study a lot and invest many hours but TargetTestPrep gave me all the tools to succeed. There are 2 other things I loved about TTP:
1) The excellent customer service They answered my questions in a matter of minutes
2) They not only help to build knowledge but also to build confidence.
I highly recommend trying TTP for yourself, the $1 trial gives you a 5-day chance to test out their program. You won't regret it.

TTP Helped Me Increase My Score by 430 Points!!! (350 - 780)

I can hardly believe that before discovering TTP my highest score was 350. I’ll put it this way: Target Test Prep is the equivalent of the best teacher I’ve ever had, but with on-demand availability.

I found TTP through the subreddit r/GMAT. Of course, I was curious; and I saw the responses with glowing reviews and thought there had to be a catch. After researching, I decided TTP might be worth a shot. From the moment I started studying with TTP’s software, I was amazed by how simple and fun their program was. They made jumping into studying effortless and as painless as possible.

In some weird way, their module system spoke to my level of understanding. After every module, there are a bunch of tests that scale up based on difficulty. So, when you’ve finished the module, you can complete it knowing that you’ve mastered the subject at the end. I rarely was left with any questions after mastering the subject.

Working through TTP felt more like a game than a study software. The tests on each module had a difficulty scale, so I could challenge myself without getting frustrated. My study habits were not the best, and one of my major problems was trying to get ahead of myself. TTP’s software would gently nudge me back on course whenever I attempted to skip ahead to later material. It helped me stay motivated and kept me accountable. I found this so helpful.

The features that helped me the most:
1- The diagnostic exam which showed me where I was currently. They let me set a “mastery” goal that helped me stay on track and see how I was progressing.
2- The ActiveReview sheets. I found these study sheets to be incredible, as they came customized with my desired score in mind, and I could fill them in with all my notes.
3- The Must Knows. I can’t tell you how many times I went back to the ‘Must Knows’ because they did such a great job of summarizing the lesson’s content.
4- The examples and the comprehensive explanations. In the modules, there are questions of various difficulty levels, and when you answer them, you don’t know how they’re ranked. What was great about this was that, after I answered the question, I would get an explanation of how to solve the problem in both a written format and a video. We all have different learning styles, and this feature was something that none of the other resources I used really offered. I love, love TTP’s short video explanations.

Their team was highly approachable and available to answer all of my questions. Even after completing the software, they still reached out to see how my application process was going and followed up on how I was doing with testing. Everyone at TTP was highly involved and incredibly kind to me.

I wish I had found Target Test Prep sooner. It would have saved me a lot of money, time, and prevented the frustrations I felt along the way. It changed the way I studied, the methods I used, and the confidence I felt when it came to taking the GMAT. TTP is the real deal!

Can't agree more with your words. I'm an italian bachelor student preparing the GMAT to ente to the Master, and due to the fact I did not know exactly how to start, I discovered about Target Test Prep on this site. Trust me when I say that this is the best course you can find avaiable online.Their site and plane are truly amazing, with many REAL questions to practice daily. The course methodology was the key to improve my study methodoly and truly understanding what type of questions I was going to be asked. Also the way it is designed it helps you customise your tests and find your weak and strong areas.I would recommend it as a must resource for anyone aiming for an high score in GMAT!!!

Hello all,

I am an American that spent most of the pandemic working at(?) my first full-time job, learning a second language, and knocking the GMAT out of the way. TTP was seminal in laying my foundation in Quant, and honestly, the only other Quant pointers that I can offer are to learn some unique problems from GMAT Club and allow for the Manhattan Prep practice tests to humble you on timing and difficulty. After building the foundation, the real GMAT is really just about skill/comfort.

I can say that I spent, off and on, some months studying quant. I took my first MPrep practice test and scored a 620. I was devastated. I would bet money that they were milking me for my money (maybe I can win my money back @MPrep), as after three Manhattan practice test, I had a game plan to guess on at least 5 problems to finish in time. I took the official practice tests: Q49, 50, 50, and (the real test) 50. The first Q49 was achieved with 15 minutes to spare, as I guessed and flew through the test- a joke comparatively. I was prepared all along from TTP. I wish I had known how wrong my Q44 on my first Manhattan practice test was and spent some time learning my native language!

Anyways, I recommend taking your time and nailing the foundations with TTP. Though, I took my sweet time with no deadline and the course is rather extensive, so I would be wary of wasting time in the course. As I realized quickly there are ample practice tests to keep you taking and reviewing for months.

Lastly, a minor point, whatever traditions/rituals you implement during practice tests, is to keep them for the real test. I am not saying be superstitious, but I do recommend drinking coffee at the same times, etc. I did not drink coffee, like I normally did with practice tests in-between Q and V sections, and I believe that hurt my Verbal score.

I could be making excuses for myself, but those were the major take aways from my process.

Good Luck,

Dane

Target Test Prep is without a doubt, the best GMAT prep on the market. I studied for months using one of the bigger competitors (e.g. Manhattan, Veritas) and couldn't break 680. If you are truly committed to earning a strong GMAT score, Target will get you there.

Target made the difference for me and got my score to a 730. If you commit to the full program, you will walk into your test completely prepared for anything it throws your way. Target has detailed lessons on every type of problem you will encounter as well as thousands of practice problems.

I was a little worried about the fact that Target is self-guided, but Scott and his team responded to each of my questions within 5 minutes

Thank you, Scott and team, for providing life-changing test prep at an affordable price.

I was blown away by TTP's program and customer support. I started my journey studying for the LSAT so I had a solid foundation for verbal. I had a good quant base but I was inconsistent (Q44-46 in mocks). After 4-5 months of self studying, I received the same mock score as when I initially started studying (710). I started TTP the next day. It was easy to follow and, if followed as planned, provides a very good foundation to tackle almost all Quant questions on test day. When I finished the program I was getting 730-770 on the mocks. What blew me away the most was the customer support. I scored a 710 on my last mock and panicked. I emailed Scott and within hours I received a call from one of the tutors (Jeff) who gave me some last minute tips and advice before my test. I ended up taking the exam online (710) and again in person (750).

Quant review:
TTP is a lengthy course. If you're looking for a shortcut, or have under 6 months to study (and you don't work in finance), this is probably not the course for you. I learned a lot from TTP and it helped me come a long way in my prep. I've struggled with math and timed exams for most of my life, and the improvement I experienced was immense. I climbed from a 21 to a 37, but it took me a year to do it. Although I didn't achieve my goal (I still may retake with extended time) I'm glad I spent the time working toward it with TTP. Jeff was always available to answer my questions throughout the course, and Scott took the time when I completed it to discuss my score. The course is easy to use and it meets you where you are. If you have the time, I definitely recommend using it.

Verbal:
I did not spend the time I needed to on the verbal section, simply because I devoted all of my time to Quant. This is not something you want to do, and if it means pushing your application out a year, consider that ahead of time. The verbal section is just as lengthy, but it definitely helps with the SC section and it has some tough CR questions that will help you truly understand what the exam is testing.

Best GMAT prep course on the market

I firmly believe that Target Test Prep is by far the best GMAT prep course on the market. The lessons are very informative and the enormous amount of repetitions you get with all the practice problems is invaluable. Quant is what TTP is known for so it was no surprise that I found this part of the course to be great. However, TTP also is in the process of rolling out its Verbal prep as well. For me, I found the Sentence Correction modules to be most helpful. Additionally, Scott and Jeffrey were extremely helpful and accessible throughout the whole process.

Studying for the GMAT is no walk in the park and it requires many hours of dedicated study. However, with enough time and effort (with TTP), I am confident that anyone can break 720+. Thanks TTP!

For someone like me who pretty much needed to start from scratch with quant, this course was amazing. It definitely takes many many hours of dedicated study, but if you put in the hard yards, it's impossible not to improve your quant score. It's very thorough and covers every topic so that you know the subject matter inside and out. No shortcuts here but it's worth it.

What I liked most was that it's a very structured/gated program - my tendency is to skip/rush ahead (and consequently to skip over valuable material) and this course doesn't really allow for that. I also found the targetted study practice invaluable - I could go through a bank of questions that focused on a particular topic I was struggling with until I had perfected it.

I'm so pleased with my 750 score! Thanks TTP!

I am 38, applying for an online MBA. My quant skills were rusty to say the least! Target was excellent in that the course builds confidence along with skills. Both the quant and the verbal effectively break down all concepts into simple components and then build them up to develop expert skills in applying skills on exam day. I found the sentence correction in particular to be refreshing in its refusal to accept 'awkwardness' as a valid reason to eliminate answer choices, instead striving to seek logical objective reasons for finding the correct answer in all cases. In my opinion this is the secret to unlocking the truly high verbal scores.

It's a great course with a huge amount of practice questions. Some are really tough, but working through it all really prepares you well for exam day.
