Strengths:
The strength of this product is its adaptive learning system that helps you successfully combat your weaknesses.
Would make the product better:
I would recommend that they strengthen the IR section of the course. It was new and a bit underdeveloped. However, I still scored an 8/8 on that section on the GMAT so it ended up providing no issue.
I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with Target Test Prep! This comprehensive test prep platform has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. From the quantitative to the analytical writing assessment sections, this resource has been an absolute game-changer in my test preparation journey.
Quantitative Section:
The quantitative section of Target Test Prep is unparalleled. The platform's extensive collection of practice questions and adaptive learning technology allowed me to focus on my weak areas while building upon my strengths. The explanations provided for each question were crystal clear and helped me grasp even the most challenging concepts. The interactive interface made learning enjoyable, and the progress tracking feature kept me motivated to push further towards success.
Qualitative Section:
The qualitative section of Target Test Prep is an absolute gem. I was initially worried about this aspect of the exam, but the abundance of practice materials and insightful lessons made me feel at ease. The in-depth analysis of critical reasoning and reading comprehension passages truly sharpened my skills and honed my ability to tackle complex questions efficiently. Thanks to Target Test Prep, I felt confident in my ability to approach any qualitative question with precision and clarity.
Integrated Reasoning Section:
The integrated reasoning section can be daunting, but with Target Test Prep's expertly designed resources, it became manageable and even enjoyable. The platform offered a wide range of practice sets that covered all aspects of integrated reasoning. The detailed explanations and strategies provided were invaluable, and they significantly improved my performance in this often-neglected section of the test.
AWA Section:
When it comes to the analytical writing assessment (AWA), Target Test Prep's guidance was outstanding. The platform's step-by-step approach to structuring and organizing essays was incredibly helpful. The sample essay responses and feedback from experts allowed me to understand what examiners are looking for and how to craft compelling arguments effectively. This section, which I initially found daunting, became one of my strengths, all thanks to the fantastic support of Target Test Prep.
Overall, Target Test Prep's comprehensive approach, user-friendly interface, and quality content make it the ultimate test prep resource. I am delighted to say that thanks to Target Test Prep, I was able to achieve a score beyond my wildest dreams on the exam. I wholeheartedly recommend this platform to anyone preparing for their standardized tests, as it truly deserves all the praise and accolades. Thank you, Target Test Prep, for making my test preparation journey a successful and enjoyable one!
Strengths:
- Target Test Prep is wildly comprehensive, with an insane amount of practice questions that mimic official GMAT questions very well.
- The study plan is appropriately arranged and easy to follow, which simplifies the preparation process for the test taker.
- The employees/educators of TTP are very active, responsive, and helpful. It's easy to chat with them within the TTP course, but they are constantly active in outside forums, Reddit, etc.
Would make the product better:
- The volume of material can be overwhelming, but is ultimately helpful. Not necessarily a flaw of the course, but this volume of content can be discouraging at first.
Target Test Prep is an awesome resource for anyone looking to succeed on the GMAT. The GMAT is an unusual and challenging exam that covers a broad range of topics. TTP's resources demystify the exam, educate the user on how he or she should approach each topic, and provide everything necessary to learn each concept tested on the exam.
Many other reviews on this forum highlight more specifically the strengths and benefits of TTP, and I agree with almost all of the testimonials that I've seen. So in an effort to keep this review concise, and to avoid saying what's already been said dozens of times elsewhere, I'll keep this review short. I consider TTP to be a one-stop shop, meaning the user shouldn't worry much about purchasing or seeking out supplemental resources. If you follow this course with discipline, you will get a good score on the GMAT.
I hope I never take the GMAT again, but if I do, I will without a doubt use TTP.
Strengths:
-Quality of course content
-Breadth and depth of material covered
-Self-paced & tailored to your needs
-Excellent practice questions & self-testing options in addition to chapter quizzes
-Thoroughly crafted study plan
-Additional support services (e.g. webinars, classes, tutors...)
-Score improvement guarantee
Would make the product better:
I never went through the accelerated study plan or checked whether TTP offered content-specific improvement courses but the one caveat to how comprehensive the course is, should one follow the study plan as is recommended, is that it can take a long time to complete and to truly absorb all the learnings.
Target Test Prep's GMAT prep course is by far the most all-encompassing and thorough course I've taken. I had explored multiple courses and completed two others by the time I signed up to TTP and I could tell from the onset how much more comprehensive this one was. Thanks to the program's carefully crafted study plan, I was able to relearn all the content that I had forgotten or not yet known in both quant and verbal in a fun manner and with a level of rigor I had yet to encounter in a GMAT course. This is a course for those who feel that they want to learn and digest the GMAT content thoroughly prior to taking the exam. You not only will be more prepared for the GMAT by the time you're done with the course but also will have had more fun along the way. I can't help but commend the TTP for the program they've put together... I am truly grateful for it!
Strengths:
- Amazing UI
- Focus on repetitive learning by design
- Numerous chapter tests after completing every chapter
- Detailed explanations for each question
Would make the product better:
Having more Verbal review tests would be very helpful for people weak in the verbal section.
A very thorough product to help you prepare for the GMAT exam. Although I am good in Quant, a Q51 would not have been possible without TTP.
Their product has an amazing UI with a lot of features to help you achieve your target score. They have a built-in error log which helps you identify the most common errors. Their analytics section is a very powerful tool that helps you get insights into your performance in each chapter broken down by the individual topics in the chapter. Also, their chapters focus on teaching fundamentals, and the example problems help you with the application of the concepts. At the end of each chapter, they have chapter tests that help strengthen the concepts you just learned.
Strengths:
It is a very comprehensive course which holistically prepares a test taker for the real GMAT Exam. The entire course is very systematically designed with an objective study plan, which is adapted to the test taker's schedule. I had an excellent experience interacting with my mentor, who readily offered course corrections whenever I approached him.
Would make the product better:
Nothing. You are absolutely Bang On as far as GMAT prep is concerned.
Well I had opted for a Flexible Plan with Verbal Improvement as the goal. I finished the course in a month. The Verbal Course was a game changer for me. Excellently explained with great practice questions. In fact, Scott's words - "All right Team TTP" kept reverberating in my ears throughout the two months and beyond. To be honest, I exactly did what the Course asked me to do - took notes, revised, gave chapter tests, re-revised in case marks were below the threshold. At the end of the Verbal Course, I could feel the difference. I was much more confident than I was earlier while doing the verbal Practice sets from GMAT Club and Official Sets and fared much better.
While I had enrolled for the course primarily to improve my Verbal, I even did the whole of Quant Course in the 2nd month as a tool for revision. And what a comprehensive course in Quant they have. Revision of Quant was a cakewalk thanks to TTP.
A big shout out to Marty, who was my saviour. He was there whenever I approached him. His words of advice were solid and straightforward. His plan for me coupled with Error Log of TTP Course helped me a lot improve my scores. During the GMAC Official Practice Tests, I moved from V28 to V40 and scored V39 in the final exam. Thank You Marty from the bottom of my heart.
My course subscription ended 3 days before the exam. I got a mail from Scott about my exam and I mentioned that My exam was scheduled 3 days later. And he extended my course subscription for a week so that I had access to the error logs and could attempt custom tests.
In short- Thank You TTP. I couldn't have achieved what i did without your help and support.
Strengths:
I came to know about TTP through reddit and decided to go for the 5 day trial. By the end of the trial period, I was hooked and decided to go for the 6 month trial. Below are the things that I loved:
a. The study planner is god-send. The gamification is exciting and had me hooked till I completed the course till the end.
b. Coverage: Be it Quant or Verbal, I did not have to review any other study material for concepts/fundamentals. TTP covered it end-to-end.
c. SC: A special mention for TTP's SC module. The way how the course teaches you how to approach SC problems and the coverage of SC concepts is phenomenal. If you're a non-native speaker like me, look no where else.
d. Chat-support: Being a non-native speaker, it took me quite a while to grasp verbal concepts. Marty and team were always available on chat to clarify doubts.
I would not have cracked this exam without their support.
Would make the product better:
I believe the platform could benefit from additional practice questions in the verbal section.

TTP was a lifesaver! Last December, I was introduced to TTP by a fellow friend who has also benefited from the program. I started my GMAT journey not knowing anything or how to start the preparation but TTP was able to break down the entire GMAT test structure to me clearly. TTP provides a clear strategy and structure for me to plan my study and the platform is beautifully crafted to help me track my progress, further motivating me to stick through and practise hard. What I particularly liked about TTP is that there are both video and written explanations to the questions. I usually prefer reading to listening to video explanations, as it allows me to train my eyes on reading comprehension and how to read fast. The text is also easy to follow and fun to go through. Here’s my detailed feedback on each component:
Quant: Extensive conceptual lessons focused on strengthening mathematical foundation and drilling through Easy-Medium-Hard practice questions (there are hundreds of questions to try and fail and then try and succeed!)
Verbal: SC section has outstanding learning material, sharpening my grammar skills and my understanding of sentence structure. CR section was a bit lacking in content but still sufficient in providing me with a thorough sense of the types of questions tested. RC section was extremely helpful; I learnt to be careful with the subtle trick answers and trained my eyes to pick up markers that signify the author's intent (they provide an exhaustive list of markers, which greatly improved my comprehension ability)
IR: Aha… usually left behind by other programmes but TTP crafted a great lesson for me to master this section effectively and efficiently (I could not afford to spend too much time on IR)
I improved my overall score by 100 points. TTP is indeed worth the investment!
Strengths:
Ability to take (via Expert+) someone already scoring very highly to the next level: started at a 730 baseline and was able to consistently make 750 - 770 on practice tests and the real exam after 3 months of Target Test Prep
Would make the product better:
Need more verbal content, felt like I was cycling through the same questions so had to elect another service
I got a 730 score on the GMAT in college, then took 3 years of a break off the exam. When I got back in the swing of things, I wanted to elect a service that would not only bring me back up to speed to a score level comparable to when I took the test last (730) but also give me the methodology to exceed my prior score.
TTP was able to do that by providing methodical ways to answer both verbal and quant problems that were proven, repeatable, and guaranteed strong scores on my practice tests and on my actual test. As a software person / product design person, I also really appreciated how the digital platform was designed for test success, and felt like all the features of TTP were pushing me toward a better score goal.
It was a very time-taxing journey (maybe ~200 hours total), but I am so glad that I opted into getting TTP to get me the GMAT score of my dreams. Now onto applications :)
Strengths:
The entire product was absolutely spectacular on the quant side.
Would make the product better:
The verbal side could use some fine tuning (I felt that the CR/RC section had a little too much redundant information)
TTP is absolutely spectacular man.... My first dry score at the gmat was a 520, Q32/V34. Both sections were also UNTIMED, meaning that my skill gap was arguably much worse than what the 520 reflects. Well, after a year, and easily 1000 hours of work, I have just gotten my official score of 760 - Q48,V46,IR7,AWA6. Now look. The TTP course takes a lot of time. I would say about 500 of these hours are attributable solely to their platform. But for individuals who need to build the skills up the time is necessary and TTP gives you all the tools. I would not have been able to have this improvement without the team. I wish I could give them 10 stars. You cannot go wrong with TTP!
Strengths:
Comprehensive, easy to follow, and backed by results!
Would make the product better:
Nothing! While TTP can be intimidating at first given the vast content library, it is very easy to follow and customize in a way that fits for you.
I would highly recommend TTP for anyone looking for GMAT prep. The course is very comprehensive and does an awesome job breaking down and explaining each topic. I felt very confident that I had covered all my bases after taking the course. It helped me effectively identify weak spots and address them quickly. I found the quant section particularly helpful, and the content in TTP closely mirrored the questions of the actual exam. While balancing work and studying, it was always nice to know all I had to do was find the time to login and I could trust the TTP process!
