Only Tool Needed for Quant, Provides Great Foundation for Verbal

Strengths:

- Quant: Covers everything you need for at least a Q50 in Quant. The lesson to practice test pacing is great. I did not feel unprepared for any conventional quant question on the test.

- Verbal: Provides a great foundation for all three verbal subsections. The way to approach RC and CR questions is drilled into you repeatedly. I saw an immediate improvement in both question categories.

- Overall: Provides great analytics to highlight weak areas. The material is dense with over 2000 practice questions. No other prep material is as detailed in its lessons and as extensive in the practice questions offered.

Would make the product better:

- Quant: Absolutely gives a great foundation for a Q50 score. Q51 involves much more out-of-the-box questions. Providing a set of extra challenge problems focused on people trying to make the jump to Q51 would be fantastic.
- Verbal: While the material for Sentence Correction was great, I felt the practice questions given were much much harder than anything on the actual test. It's hard to gauge how proficient I truly was while working through this section.

Spending 15+ hours per week, it took me over 3 months to work through all of the material and practice questions. For a typical user, this material will most likely take you 4+ months to complete.

The platform provides a structured approach to GMAT preparation. TTP offers the best Quant prep compared to any other test prep provider. While I had a strong math skillset to begin with, TTP helped me lock in a Q51 on 2/3 of the official tests I took. I'm convinced that anyone with some aptitude for math can score a Q50 through TTP alone if they put the work in. For Verbal, I felt TTP excelled at setting the correct mindset and approach for CR and RC. I believe SC is TTP's weakest aspect of the platform. TTP goes through all the core topics well for SC. However, there are not a lot of practice questions for SC and the practice questions that are given tend to be much harder than those seen on the actual test. While this can be ok for some, as someone who was weaker in SC, I felt that I had to complement my TTP learnings with questions from GMATClub and other question banks. I did not feel this same need for any other Quant or Verbal sub-section.

Despite the above, TTP is the first platform I recommend to anyone starting to study for the GMAT. It simply has everything. Post TTP, I got a Q51 on 2/3 actual tests. I got a perfect CR on one test and a perfect RC on another. I feel that these achievements are predominantly due to my learnings from TTP. While TTP helped me develop my SC skills, I needed other materials to help get me to a 98th percentile score for SC. I encourage others to do the same. TTP should serve as the foundational test prep on someone's GMAT journey, with other supplemental materials added when needed.

Thorough and Solid GMAT Prep Course

Course Target Test Prep Flexible Prep

Strengths:

Target Test Prep carefully teaches the underlying grammar, logic, and mathematical principles of the questions that the GMAT will pose, equipping students to do well.

Would make the product better:

I have no recommendations for improvements. The course is very solid.

Target Test Prep helped me understand the principles behind the questions on the GMAT exam, gave me large amounts of practice problems with which to test my understanding, and helped me pinpoint areas of weakness for further review. TTP focuses on teaching the foundations of mathematics, grammar, and logic rather than teaching “tricks”, allowing users to develop greater consistency in answering the GMAT’s questions. TTP also helped to lend structure to my preparation efforts, by virtue of being organized into chapter form and roughly alternating between verbal and quant test topics. Additional helpful features included notes on how to efficiently parse questions to determine what grammar principle or math technique to use to solve the problem.

Strengths:

- Structured approach
- Detailed lessons
- Customized chapter exams
- Analytics

Would make the product better:

- I didn't realize until 1 day before my subscription ran out that TTP has several practice exams, despite navigating for this on the website. It should be easier to navigate to these. The diagnostic test is clearly depicted though

Target Test Prep's GMAT preparation software stands out as a valuable tool for students seeking to excel on the GMAT. The platform's structured approach simplifies the learning process, breaking down complex concepts into manageable modules that progressively build upon one another.

One of the key merits of Target Test Prep is the emphasis on a strong foundation. By first ensuring that users have a thorough understanding of core concepts, the course lays the groundwork for more advanced problem-solving skills.

Furthermore, the practice questions and full-length practice tests provided by Target Test Prep are invaluable for fine-tuning test-taking strategies and time management skills. Detailed explanations accompanying each question enable users to learn from their mistakes and continually improve their performance.

Overall, Target Test Prep's well-organized and comprehensive approach offers an effective way to build the necessary knowledge and skills for achieving a high score on the GMAT.

Strengths:

-Structure of the course
-Amount of practice quizzes
-Ample opportunities for review through course progression

Would make the product better:

-Additional verbal practice questions

TTP is the best way to prepare for the GMAT, period. The content is well-structured, and ensures that your base of knowledge as it relates to the type of questions asked is very strong. I was initially skeptical about the efficacy of an online course, but there is a reason why so many people, including myself, recommend this course. It is comprehensive, and perhaps most crucially, it has features that eliminate so much of the administrative pain associated with studying. The integrated error log as you progress through the score is so helpful. Same story with the TTP analytics, which help hone in on weak areas.

If you put the effort in, a fantastic 700+ score is possible.

Would make the product better:

Nothing

I was stuck at a plateau of 700/710 and saw no way out. I took one month of the TTP course for verbal and some sections of quant and it was a game changer. The curriculum was very well structured and covered all important aspects needed. I followed the course cover to cover and did all the quizes as they came. Within 30 days, I saw a great improvement in my concepts and was able to apply them much better. After that, I re solved the Og and my practice tests had over 30/40 point difference. Would recommend to anyone aiming for a 700+

Strengths:

TTP has a fantastic course structure, and a great mixture of concept deep-dive, practice questions, and quizzes.

Would make the product better:

The verbal section can include more practice sets.

TTP is an amazing GMAT prep resource, and it helped me through every stage of my GMAT prep journey, from laying a solid knowledge foundation, to advancing my problem-solving skills and getting my target score. The QUANT and VERBAL section are super thorough, coupled with many high-quality practice questions. The practice questions also came with very detailed explanations, which allowed me to review my mistakes and bridge my knowledge gap really effectively. Another thing I like about TTP is that it shares a motivational quote every time you log in - this might be trivial but it did inspire me a lot throughout this arduous testing prepping journey :) I would highly recommend it to anyone who's prepping for the GMAT!

Structured Plan to Achieve Your Goal

Strengths:

The ability to track the time spent per week and month in the program as well as easily see progress towards completing the entire study plan. TTP created a very easily to follow study plan to achieve your score goals.

Would make the product better:

No complaints.

TTP was a great ROI and allowed me to achieve my score goal. Prior to any prep, I took an official practice test and scored a 500. After completing TTP, I took the GMAT and scored a 720.

The ability to track the time spent per week and month in the program as well as easily see progress towards completing the entire study plan. TTP created a very easily to follow study plan to achieve your score goals.

I'd suggest to those taking the test to start with their weaker section (or section with the most score variability) on the official test, so they will be fresh for their more challenging section.

Strengths:

- Complete, well-structured, and unique Verbal course designed to improve the student's level of sophistication of the thinking
- Realistic and effective study plan, comprehensive of any needed material to reach your target score
- Most effective Quant course on the market
- A team of trained professionals always ready to reply to any doubt/question you could have

Would make the product better:

The only minor recommendation I can come up with would be the possibility for late-night students not to see their study plan be rescheduled after midnight.
That is really the only adjustment I would make to this course, because besided this minor inconvenience, it's just perfect.

I will comment mainly on the TTP Verbal course, because before my V33 GMAT attempt I had studied Verbal from other sources, and it definitely didn't work for me. After the V33 attempt, I started to use the TTP Verbal course to improve my Verbal performance.

The Verbal course was unique. Mind-blowing is the word I would use.
In roughly 3 weeks, the Verbal course brought me to an outstanding V42 on my 2nd GMAT attempt.
The course never focuses on made-up gimmicks or grammar, but teaches you to use bullet-proof logic and concrete reasons to eliminate incorrect answer choices.
I could see daily improvements in my Verbal performance in ANY section, on ANY question type, I was just amazed at my improvement.

If I had started to study the Verbal section from TTP from the very start of my GMAT prep, I would have likely scored even higher. Quite a statement.
With this Verbal course, there is not any ceiling to how high you can score.

I won't even bother commentating on the completeness and well-thought design of the Quant course. It's the best in the market and it's not even a secret. I was scoring Q48 and Q49 on the OG Official Practice tests, consistently, and it definitely showed on the real exam.

If you're in doubt, do yourself a favor and buy this course right now.

TTP structured test plan enabled me to go from 620 to 750

Strengths:

TTP is strong in covering all areas of the exam. Most reviews here will say they are best at Quant, and I agree with that claim. In addition, their Reading Comprehension lessons helped me view the section in a new way and overcome a pattern of common mistakes.

Would make the product better:

I have very few points of feedback because the most important elements of the program, the content of the lessons, and the practice problem sets are great. TTP could improve the % complete tracker, which indicates how much of the program you have completed. For some reason there were two different numbers and they were always slightly different, so I wasn't sure which was accurate at a given time.

TTP gave me the fundamental building blocks to approach the test differently and more efficiently than I had before I started with TTP. Before starting with TPP, I would just do random problems sets and problems from the GMAT book. At the time, I didn't understand how much I had to un-learn and re-learn in order to approach problems from a new, improved perspective.

TTP offers countless problem sets that are very high quality and prepared me well for the test. While I can only claim this from my own perspective, I feel like a good portion of the TTP 'Medium' questions were actually borderline 'Hard' by GMAT standards. Because of this, I felt comfortable and capable when difficulty would start to increase on true practice tests. (I don't claim this to be the case! Just an anecdotal pattern I picked up on).

If you are considering the 6-month, Maximum learning option, be prepared to commit yourself to the GMAT process for the long-term. I needed this option as someone who had plateaued in studying on my own and as someone who has testing anxiety. TPP is ultimately what you make of it, but it offers the ideal framework to succeed.

Great Study Tool!

Strengths:

-Extremely thorough and comprehensive
-Structured study plan
-More than enough practice problems to develop skills in each topic that is tested by the GMAT

Would make the product better:

I don't have many comments in terms of improvement. The only thing I would say is that the problems you will actually see from the official problem sets will be slightly different and will require a bit of a mental gear shift. The TTP problems are not so different that they won't teach you anything, but please keep this in midn.

This program is extremely comprehensive and will take you 95% of the distance to getting an extremely high score. I would not have scored nearly as high without the structure that this program provided. Being able to reach out to tutors to answer individual questions was also a great option that I used often. It took me around 4 months to get through the entirety of the course. It was definitely a grind but worth the effort. After I completed the course, I took my first practice exam and scored a 690. To be fair, by the time I finished the course, there was quite a bit I didn't remember from the beginning (for the Verbal section specifically). I then switched gears to practicing only OG practice problems to figure out where my weaknesses were and then would return to TTP to review my weaker subjects. After lots of practice problems I was feeling comfortable with problems at the highest level of difficulty. TTP is a fantastic program and I cannot recommend it enough.
