Like others, I started my GMAT PREP using OG guides. Being non-native, I found myself struggling in learning the various SC rules. After lot of research and browsing, I joined e-gmat verbal online course. Its actually a very good and informative course, where you can easily understand the logical aspect of GMAT English. After completing the verbal online, I enrolled for the Live Prep program so as to solidify verbal foundation. As expected, this further increase my confidence regarding the prep. As per my experience, I learn more in 1 session of e-gmat than from a book on the same verbal topic.
In my first attempt, I scored 680 in GMAT. Thanks to e-gmat course and OG guides. I didn't go through any other study material, which helped me in staying focused and completing the course in time (around 2 months).
Use the following approach to gain the most from this course:
1. Complete all the prerequisite with due diligence.
2. Trust the process mentioned in the course and apply it for all the question you attempt.
3. Don't stray away from official material. Its better to go for quality than quantity.
4. Course will teach you concept in simple and easy way, but you only have to excel in the application of the those concepts.
Let me start with first thing first, I am non-native speaker and I am still preparing for big day in Feb'15. while I am preparing I thought I will share my experience with the course, so others could benefit from the course and take advantage of this.
PROS -
SC
One of the best comprehensive module is Sentence Correction. Every single topic you could think of has been covered in detail with live sessions.I have tried Knewton too, but I must say I didn't regret at all having signed up for e-GMAT. all videos and live sessions are so great even if it's been years you haven’t seen grammar book or not familiar with basic grammar jargons. This course will fill the gap. Lot of PDF files on resource section I went through most of them along with videos really clear the concepts with examples.
After going through eGMAT SC I feel lot of confidence in SC questions even the toughest ones from OG13 I could crack within 2 minutes. I would highly recommend this course if you want to improve and get good score on verbal.
CR – it’s being more on logical side where some people don’t need lot of background rules once you get familiar with type of questions, but again you need process to tackle the questions. eGMAT CR pre-thinking helps a lot and it saves the time for sure. I have improved in section too.
RC – I liked break down approach of eGMAT. To take pause after each paragraph in passage or depending on logical shift within passage so you can digest what has been discussed and predict what could be coming next. I gained lot of improvement in RC questions after I finished lessons from RC.
Area of Improvement -
One of the area I see eGMAT should improve on having performance dashboard. I have seen dashboard from Manhattan(free account) and Maghoosh. I really wish if eGMAT could build something like that where one can see performance snapshot as in whole it’s really helpful to see the accuracy on higher level. Especially when you want to review questions you have struggled with or got wrong and even with timing issue. With dashboard you can simply filter and jump into topic where you see you have spent more time and have issues with topic. I am sure who has seen those dashboards could feel this need with eGMAT.
Overall I would recommend this course for verbal.

purchased the verbal online prep. It got my score V25-29 to V36-38 within 2 months of studying 2 hrs per day.
They get into the basics and make you understand how gmat creates the material that is most commonly tested. highly recommended to anyone struggling to get past v30. i will be taking the gmat test again and hopefully will cross the v40 barrier.
the video are easy to understand and learn from. make sure you attempt all the practice questions and learn from your mistakes.
I originally started with reading the manhattan gmat book for sc however i could not understand most of the content, the video's here helped me understand from the basics.
The cr content is equally good -- just note the sample questions are harder than the real test.
I have been trying to write Gmat since quite some time but had to cancel my exam every time because I never felt confident enough and also I never scored good on practice tests. However few months back a friend recommended E-gmat. As my last hope, I enrolled into the course and I saw myself improving with each lesson. Previously I had studied from many books but none could clear my concepts and answer my questions the way E-Gmat course/Instructors did. Now that I am in my final phase of preparation I feel confident that I will score decent. All thanks to E-Gmat.
Hello All, Basically I am a non native speaker and its quite obvious that I faced difficulty with the verbal part of GMAT, although i was comfortable with Quant, I tried several books in the past but none of them could help me achieve my target score, That is when I came across e-gmat courses through lot of positive reviews, Although i was little skeptical, I went ahead and enrolled myself for the complete prep after attending a demo class which was helpful. I can confidently say I could see a lot of change in the way i was understanding the question which ultimately improved my score and I was lot confident while attending the questions. There is clear cut explanation of each concept and at the same time practice questions were followed by which was very very helpful. I could see drastic changes in my test scores and I would recommend e-gmat to anybody who wants to see their score increase in a short period of time, I have already recommended it to few of my friends who are very happy with the choice. SO gear up guys ,stop wasting your time in checking out every material available out there and go ahead with e-gmat course
Well I started my GMAT preparation journey by going through the Manhattan GMAT guides and the 3 OG's , though they definitely helped me improve my baseline and work on my weaknesses, I felt that to build up on my vocab score I needed something better. Something that was more in depth and user friendly. My sentence correction was especially bad and I was not getting much help from the guide books, so I tried to find an alternative online. Here I came across E-GMAT which had some very good reviews applauding it, so I thought about giving its SC course a try. Earlier I was quite apprehensive of the whole online tutoring format but surprisingly I found e-gmat to be very user friendly and structured. It was neatly sub-divided into groups topic wise ranging in difficulty and had very good quizzes to test your concepts. I found the support team to be very enthusiastic in giving quick replies and clearing all doubts in depth. Needless to say I was very happy with the investment I made to join this course and built my whole SC base on the tips and tricks provided by this SC course. I also recommended the same course to many of my friends who are currently enrolled in the program and derived immense benefits as far as improvements in verbal section is concerned.
E-GMAT verbal is a great course, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to boost up his verbal by a high margin.
I took this course after researching a lot online on good verbal training material for a reasonable price point. I was impressed by the quality of the material specially the Sentence Correction part. I took the material for overall improvement in English and not for GMAT per se as I am not taking GMAT anytime soon. But I could feel vast improvements in my English which I was not aware of and tended to overlook. Thanks egmat and before I take GMAT I might take your full course with quant next time. But that is few years down the line, till then keep up the amazing work. Ciao
Background
Initial GMAT score 640. Verbal was in low 30's :(
Material used:
OG 13 questions
SC by Aristotle
GMAT 2 score 680. Verbal improved by 2-3 points
At this point I did not even wanted to touch GMAT material anymore. I've got the rules but wasn't applying them correctly, I might apply one or 2 rules and then jump to an answer choice. Wasted hours of my time and effort.
e-GMAT Approach
I had attended one of e-gmat's free webinar where Meghna solved a 700 level SC question, which made complete sense as to how she got us to the correct answer.I took advantage of their coupon code and bought Verbal Live Prep. Finished one module after the other, it seemed I was getting closer and closer to a higher score in Verbal. If you are looking for 700+ score Verbal Online provides ample modules to pick up speed but if you need a little push with your study discipline go all in, get the Verbal Live Prep.
All I had to do was tune out the world and listen to how each question was solved, explaination on creating structure around SC or CR is a life saver! The live prep gives access to live sessions where you get to solve 700+ level questions with fellow GMAT takers, its a good way to gauge where you stand on which topic and take notes on the questions you could not solve. Best error log ever!
I am planning to take my GMAT in another month, using Rajat's tactical strategy for the last month prep before I hit the hot seat, wish me luck :).
I took my GMAT exam on 10-Dec-14 and scored 660.Though my score still falls below my expectations, it shows a vast improvement from my earlier score.
I took my first GMAT exam in Apr-14 & scored a dismal score of 580. This was without any test prep guidance. After reading couple of reviews on GMAT Club of various test prep companies, I decided to go ahead with e-GMAT. Most of the non-natives have expressed their utmost satisfaction with this course.
I really found this course to be excellent. I also took e-GMAT's Quant course. In my opinion it is also a well designed course. However nothing beats its verbal course. I have been told earlier that there is nothing one can do about RC, but I am glad to say that if one follows e-GMAT process significant improvement in RC is possible. The process technique of e-GMAT is the most novel technique. The instructors team is one of the most diligent team I have ever seen.
Thanks e-GMAT team for all your endeavours & such an excellent course.

I am a non-native speaker so basically i faced a lot of problems while preparing for GMAT and CAT(an indian entrance test for mba). As an engineering grad, the main encumbrance for me was my verbal. After extensive research i choose to try out E-gmat live courses.
The e-gmat SC and CR courses are one of the best. The best thing about e-gmat was its quizzes and its focus on only the main points. The 3-step process for SC was one of the best trick to solve any SC question. After completing the SC course,my accuracy increased greatly.
The RC was great too but could have been better.
I would highly recommend this course to any non-native GMAT aspirant as well as CAT aspirant who wants to improve their SC skills.
