5 stars for Manhattan Prep

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

5 stars for Manhattan Prep and their great instructor team! I took a course with Sergio Frisoli in Boston's Back Bay center in the winter of 2016 and found the content and instruction to be incredibly helpful in preparing for the GMAT. My instructor, Sergio, was thoughtful, patient, and attentive to our class's various strengths and development areas. He always stayed after class for individual questions and offered advice and coaching after the course was over. I would highly recommend Manhattan Prep (and particularly Sergio) gearing up for the GMAT! Now on the other side of the GMAT and MBA application process, I'm confident it was worth the investment.

Manhattan Prep (and Keith Blume) Rock!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I was advised by a friend who had taken the Manhattan Prep course to take the in-person course if I wanted to best prepare for taking the GMAT. I took one practice GMAT prior to starting the course and was around a 530-540, significantly lower than what I needed. The Manhattan course and my instructor, Keith Blume, gave me the necessary tools to bring that score all the up to a 700 which was where I needed to be for the programs I was applying to. Included in my course fee was a number of guidebooks and practice manuals that gave me the tools necessary to work on my own. In each class session, Keith was able to cover a wealth of material and provide tips that weren't exactly covered in any of the guidebooks. There was a syllabus given out at the beginning of class that I was diligent in keeping up with. Throughout the course, we took practice test which I slowly saw my score rise and plateau at a point lower than where I wanted to be. Due to scheduling conflicts, at the end of the course I had 4 weeks to prepare for my GMAT. Keith prepared a study plan for me that got me ready in the 4-week time frame. The study plan worked! I felt comfortable going into the test and received the score that I wanted. Needless to say, Manhattan Prep and Keith were invaluable in my preparation. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to prepare for the GMAT!

Manhattan Prep provided me with everything I needed to get my target GMAT score. First and foremost, Marcus was a great teacher. He made class engaging, challenging, and worth your time for students of all levels. He also provided some really useful study tips and techniques -
such as tracking questions missed - that helped me to use my independent study time efficiently.
Following the Manhattan Prep's syllabus/study plan and taking their online practice tests made it really clear what I needed to do to prepare. By the time test day came around, I felt confident that I had done everything I could to be ready. I only had to take the GMAT once to get my target score of 730.
Finally, the free one-on-one consultation with a Manhattan Prep tutor after the class finished but before the GMAT was really helpful for developing a final-stretch study plan and giving me a confidence boost going into the test.
Would highly recommend Marcus and Manhattan Prep!

Thank you David, and Manhattan GMAT!

I got my target score of 720+ thanks to Manhattan Prep, and highly recommend the MP program to anyone who is seriously considering applying to a top b-school. I say this for a few reasons:
1) The resources and course content are unparalleled, and very well structured. You start the process by taking a practice test that immediately pin-points your strengths vs areas that may need improvement, and then track your progress by taking more exams throughout the course.
2) The content is carefully curated, and is structured in a way that makes the classes effective without being overwhelming. The MP problem sets enable you to absorb content in the most efficient way.
3) The online interface is well designed and easy to use. Whenever I saw other interfaces friends were using, I was always thankful I decided on MP.
4) The instructor that I had (David Mahler) was amazing. He was intelligent, personable, always prepared, and a great teacher. He was diligent in answering emails, and always made himself available to students.
5) On top of the classes, Manhattan Prep offered a ton of events with top MBA programs which really helps when you get to the application stage.

GMAT review

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by gmat club tests [?]

I had never done a standardized test similar the GMAT before I decided to undergo a gruesome GMAT training for my business school application. Needless to say I felt daunted from the get go. Compound that with a busy work schedule and being out of school for quite a few years, I really needed some proper guide to prepare for the GMAT.
After scouring the internet for reviews of GMAT training courses, I eventually settled for MGMAT’s 9 weeks live online course. I chose the program mainly because I needed a structured study schedule that would instill discipline to my routine. Long story short, the course worked and I was able to get my grades to 700+.
My class was Saturday noon and the entire class consisted of 5 students. Chris Peckover was our instructor. Chris was very patient with us and really made an effort to break down the teachings to us in a simple yet entertaining manner. As a math geek, Chris was also the most alive when we went over the quant materials. Over the 2+ months that I attended the classes, I can definitely feel the value adds from taking the classes. For example, in doing the quant questions, Chris taught us quite a few short cuts and neat tricks which I found useful on the exam, though I underestimated the values of such when I originally learned them in class.
My message for people reading reviews, trying to decide whether to attend such class is this: if you have a busy life and are in need of quick and efficient ways to prepare for the GMAT in a disciplined manner, I would recommend the 9 weeks online class. The classes is a great source for you to get your scores up to 700+ by undergoing a structured routine and taking advantage of your instructor’s expertise. The interactive classes are, in my opinion, better than self-study classes because you get to experience the instructors, which are MGMAT’s (and Veritas’s) best resources.

Best test prep option out there!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Manhattan Prep was a huge factor in my success on the GMAT! Our instructor Paul was fantastic -- not only was he a knowledgeable and skilled teacher, but he was also funny and engaging. With the tips and tricks I learned from this class and the accompanying materials, I was able to bring my score up roughly 100 points in a short period of time, and achieve my goal score. The books for the course are an incredible resource and easy to follow, then the in-person class helps solidify all of the lessons and illustrate short-cuts to take on the test. I recommend that everyone choose Manhattan Prep for their exam preparation; you won't be disappointed!

Great Course; Great Teacher

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Really enjoyed my course with David Mahler. My first practice exam was in the 500's range and I ended up with a 770. Even though I could have studied alone, the course itself added great structure, with amazing advice / techniques from David. Then of course, Manhattan Prep has amazing materials / practice tests etc. which get you to an advanced level.

Overall, I recommend the course for anyone, no matter what level they are on the test, unless you're in a particular rush or require individual attention. The structure of going to a weekly course is particularly helpful and the weekly assignments keep you on pace and on track.

Thanks a lot David!!!

Helped boost my score 30 points!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I first took the GMAT in 2015 after self-study only and received a 680. I was not satisfied with the score but wanted to wait until I was 100% sure I needed to attend business school before retaking. I decided to apply to b-school in 2017 and signed up to do a group prep-course from February-April 2017. The course was most helpful in that it gave me a syllabus and road-map for studying and kept me honest by assigning homework each week. The actual course was helpful for problem solving strategy but a majority of my learning came during homework time. I made it over the 700 hump and almost to my ultimate goal of 720. I ended up being accepted to all three business schools I applied to in Round 1 and don't think I could have without the course.

Manhattan Prep was great

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Keith was an awesome instructor and did a great job at catering to the needs of a bunch of different people who were at various skill levels in a bunch of different categories. I improved immensely over the course and I think it helped me think analytically in other areas of my life as well. There are very few courses that I have taken at any level of education that I felt made such a dramatic and instant impact as this. After the course was over, Keith went out of his way to continue to help me with questions and really went above and beyond.

MHPrep improved my score by 50 points

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Hi everyone, I took a 9-session online class with MHPrep. Before I started my lessons, I had a 710 on the official practice tests and the classes, the recommended practice problems and the MHPrep practice tests helped me reach my target score of 760. Emily and Greg were my instructors and they really really know what they are doing :)

As a non-native speaker, I found the Verbal lessons very effective. The online tools that lets you filter for difficulty were also very useful as I worked on improving the scores.

I found the math sections in the practice tests a bit too intense though. It definitely helped make the actual test feel like a breeze.
