Melody Lin Reviews

Company: Admissionado

From Wall Street to Fifth Avenue, from sunny Cali to the Big Apple, Melody was once a technology investment banker in San Francisco who turned finance and strategy professional at a global cosmetics company in New York City.

Melody received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and worked in investment banking after college. Although she became an Excel whiz in banking, she realized that her true calling lies in consumer-centric industries, so she went back to school and earned her MBA from The Wharton School, where she double majored in Management and Marketing. Since then, she has worked in strategic planning, corporate finance, and digital analytics across media & entertainment and CPG companies such as Comcast and L'Oréal. She has lived in eight cities across three continents and now resides in New York City. Melody is dedicated to leveraging her diverse background and knack for storytelling to provide incisive strategy that will enable your profile to shine through the rest of the applicant pool.

In her spare time, she is either planning her next trip (avid traveler who’s been to 25+ countries and counting), trying various restaurants and cuisines, or blogging about awesome fashion and beauty finds.

I worked with Melody Lin and Claudia on three schools. I prefer to work with a Chinese speaking consultant, so there aren't many options to begin with. The other thing I was looking for was great essay editing. Admissionado's website and intro materials came across as witty and funny so I gave it a shot.

Claudia is amazing in her response speed solving all the admin questions. Melody is also good at providing general strategy to MBA application. What makes admissionado shine is its ability to edit essays, they don't just edit it but encourage you to really dig deep and write something that will shine through your application. I got into one of the three schools that I applied to, even though I only had 2 years of work experience. Thanks Admissionado!
