The services provided by Manhattan Prep GMAT prepared me very well for the GMAT. It is the most comprehensive set of materials you will find anywhere. You definitely need to put in the time, but the MP GMAT team is a great resource. The team was happy to analyze my CAT data in order to find my areas of focus. Mark Sullivan and Joshua Braslow are really genuine people and were extremely willing to work with my accelerated schedule. They provided a lot of encouragement throughout the process and ups and downs. I thought the online class would be useless, but it turned out to be super engaging and helpful.
I took the Manhattan Prep Live Online Course because I had read great reviews of the company and also saw that they offered a 25% student discount (I am currently a college student, so this was very appealing to me). Manhattan Prep doesn't hold any in-person classes near me, so I had to take the online course. I was a little nervous about it at first because I thought I would get distracted if I wasn't in a classroom. However, I think the online course was a great decision for me. The Manhattan Prep instructors are extremely helpful and willing to give you one-on-one attention. There were ~10 people in my class and 2 instructors. The class met for 3 hours every week. The instructors engaged everyone in the classroom by calling on students and making an effort to understand everyone’s thought process. The instructors solved practice problems with us, thoroughly explained common mistakes or misunderstandings, and walked through ways to approach problems that I found extremely useful on the test. I felt comfortable asking questions in class and reaching out to the instructors outside of class as well. Manhattan Prep also offers several practice exams with full, worked-out solutions and performance analytics capabilities. In addition to the 9-week online class, the plethora of resources available to me during through Manhattan Prep (GMAT Official Guide, Manhattan Prep books, practice exams, etc.) were invaluable to my success on the exam.

I had been trying to get done with my mba for the longest time by studying on my own but it just wasn't happening. A friend who had graduated from INSEAD previously advised me to join a course (which is what he did as well), and that was the tipping point! Being in a classroom setting really helped me personally. I felt challenged and engaged. I researched all of the programs available and felt ManhattanPrep was the one for me. They start with the basics but quickly build onto complex stuff. I was lucky that I ended up having the best instructor possible. Mark was engaging, super knowledgeable and full of tips on how to go about your prep. He was always available (even after the course was over) to answer any question you would have. I wish I had joined the course earlier instead of wasting a few months trying to study on my own!

I took a class at Manhattan Prep in late summer/early fall and took the GMAT for the first time in October. I did well below my goal score. My work schedule this fall was insane and I traveled a lot of weekends so I really needed to maximize what time i did have. My Manhattan Prep private tutoring did just that. I did mine online for 8 hours total (2 hours a week for 4 weeks). My instructor came prepared to each session and was able to answer every question that I had. He gave me an exact practice schedule of what I needed to do before our next meeting session.
Also, don't be afraid to sign up for the course online. I wanted to do mine in person, but the online was just as effective. The scheduling of the sessions was pretty flexible which was important for my schedule. I highly recommend!

For someone who is bad at self discipline, the Manhattan GMAT in-person prep class was essential for me. I tried the Kaplan online classes but had difficulty holding myself accountable. Mark from Seattle Manhattan GMAT was fantastic. The class size was small. Sometimes, there were only 3 students so it almost felt like a private session. I recommend taking the exam 2-3 weeks after the class is over so you don't lose momentum but still have time to do some last minute review. You should also take the exam multiple times to get yourself accustomed to the adaptive format which was the most difficult part of the test for me.

I first heard about this course from a friend who had taken it a few years back; he had raved about it, and he's a guy who rarely raved about anything. So, from the get-go, I was inclined to give preference to Manhattan Prep over any other companies. Still, at $2,000, I wanted to get a "taste" before fully committing.
One of the things I loved about this course was that I was allowed to come to the first session -- for free, no strings attached -- and check out the instructor and the overall vibe before plunking down the dinero. And about halfway through that first class, I knew I'd be handing over a bunch of Benjamins, but that I'd be doing it enthusiastically.
Our instructor was extremely bright, geeky about the material and the various ways to think about approaching problems, not at all pedantic (which is my biggest pet peeve with instructors/coaches of any kind), and he seemed to keep everyone in the room engaged. He was organized but not a stickler. There was room for questions. People were smiling and listening and stumped at times, and it was exactly what I thought this sort of class should feel like.
Over the course of the 10-week program, we had a clear syllabus outlining homework problems as well as topics to be covered in each class. As with most things in life, students got out of the program what they put into it, and in my case, I'll be honest and say that I didn't stick to the homework schedule...at all. Still, it was nice to have it -- as well as the accompanying boatload of books with practice problems -- for that inevitable time down the road where I actually decided to buckle down, SIGN UP for an actual GMAT test, and go back and do the homework the way I was supposed to have done it months earlier. Even though I didn't stick to the syllabus, the fact that I had one to refer to definitely helped was I finally got my act together.
The practice GMAT tests online and the analytics that go along with it are also super helpful. Manhattan Prep gives its students a granular look at their performance sliced and diced across all the different problem types. Super helpful for efficiently & strategically improving your game.
The whole company is also just good people. At least the four individuals I interacted with - either in person, on the phone, or over email. Not trying to nickel and dime you. Better customer service than your bank. Friendly and understanding people. And somehow they seem genuinely concerned with you getting the most out of the experience. A+ overall.
What else is there to say? These guys know their stuff, and they're here to help you hit your goals. I got a 720 on the real test two days after getting a 700 on my final practice one through Manhattan.
I took the 9 week virtual Manhattan Prep GMAT Course. I knew that I needed the course to hold me accountable to my studying goals while working long hours at my job. The flexibility of a virtual course was also important to me. Mark was a fantastic instructor – he worked through practice problems by not only teaching us the fundamental techniques, but also discussing how the GMAT might distort similar problems. He made the courses very interactive – we never went more than 30 minutes without doing problem sets or other interactive activities during the sessions. We also spent time in every session talking about educated guessing strategies, which I could not have fully understood out of a book. Perhaps most importantly, he spend time clarifying a GMAT correct answer from our second choice answers. The fundamentals can come through practicing with the materials, but the ability to differentiate a “good” answer from the “right” answer comes a lot easier when you have a strong instructor who can help explain the difference. Highly recommend both Mark and Manhattan Prep!

The GMAT class I took with Mark was wonderful. I thought it would be terribly dry, but Mark kept us engaged, despite it being for 3 hours on Wednesdays after a full day of work. My quant score improved dramatically and he gave us great insight into some of the tricks in mastering the test. Mark was always available to answer questions via email and provide practice CAT analysis.
The course itself was very good. The syllabus made sense and the content built on itself over the nine weeks. Overall, I highly recommend this course. I couldn't have hit the 700+ mark in 3 months without it!

I signed up for the 9 week group classes and had a great experience. Mark was both knowledgeable and cared about our personal success taking the GMAT. I cannot speak to how Manhattan compares to other programs as it's the only one I've done, but the 9 week program includes a lot of "bonus" resources that I found essential when prepping for my test.
The sheer number of people that use Manhattan means they have a huge pool of data with which to generate learnings and for you to compare yourself to in your practice exams. This means their grading is more accurate which then helps you figure out where you should be focusing your study time.
After you complete the course Manhattan provides an hour long one on one session with one of their counselors to identify your weak points (based on your practice tests) and create a study plan for you based on your test date. I found this to be a big time saver when I was studying as I could drive home the sections I needed help with. After your first exam, if you plan to retake the test, Manhattan also includes a follow up one on one to figure out what went wrong (or right) and how you can improve your score. This last session proved crucial as I was able to improve my score from a 660 to a target 700.
Overall I would highly recommend Manhattan prep's 9 week course. The money I spent was well worth the score I got and the weekly meetings helped me stay on track when studying. The content is thorough and from what I hear, it's the best of all the prep programs. Good luck!

The Instructor was not good at all for this class. I wish i would have opted for other course. I dont recomment Manhattan prep either. All they teach you in 9 classes are the questions fr4om the OG only, lIke 4 /5 OG questions in 3 hr session. I wasted my $1500. The Quant section was somewhat good but the verbal is very bad. I knew more things than him i think. By self studying you can get more knowledge than the 9 classes combined. Very bad. Also you have to take their books, there is no option of not taking their books even if you have those already. The books for verbal section are very bad.
