I turned to Harry thorough GMAT Ninja after two poor GMAT results following my taking courses from Princeton Review and Target Test Prep. I was struggling from inconsistencies between my official practice tests and the actual GMAT and didn't have a clear path forward. I turned to GMAT tutoring for help knowing that I needed a great GMAT score to get into my target schools.
I initially reached out to GMAT Ninja because I was familiar with their Youtube channel. After watching several of their videos, their approach to GMAT problem solving resonated with me(I found the characteristics that I valued from their Youtube videos certainly carried over into our tutoring sessions). After several emails back and forth with Charles I decided to partner with Harry and give the GMAT another attempt.
Harry immediately set about rebuilding my foundational approach to the GMAT for both Quant and Verbal. This meant eliminating careless errors and easy mistakes that were handicapping me on easy/medium questions. We then focused on getting my timing to be consistent by implementing various techniques and strategies that I didn’t have from my other preparation courses. Lastly we focused on refining problem solving strategies and reviewing mistakes on the harder problems.
In addition to Harry being a phenomenal instructor, here are some other things that stand out. Harry sets a learning environment- I always felt like I could make mistakes without judgement. Harry gives you honest feedback. Overall, Harry is a phenomenal instructor who helped me develop the skills and confidence needed to obtain my 720. My only regret is that I didn’t make the decision to partner with him sooner.

Having studied for GMAT using various resources (Magoosh, TTP, Manhattan Verbal Books, Official Guide) for 9 months, I managed to increase my score from 620 (first attempt) to 680 (second and third attemp) but my score hit the plateau at 680. I didn’t have any problem on quant side(usually scored 49-50) but my verbal scores were inconsistent and far away from my target (fluctuated around 27-34). I was targeting for 700+ score, and I decided to work with a Private tutor. I was always amazed with Gmat Ninja videos on Youtube, so I knocked their door without a second thought.
The level of care and attention they give to their students was apparent even before I started my first session. They really dig into detail about how did I study for gmat, which materials I have used, my practice and actual exam scores and tried to understand my situation. I luckily had a chance to work with Harry. From the moment we start tutoring, he was super attentive and patient. He uncovered each factor that keeps me away from my target score in detail and forced me to apply the right concepts and thought process for approaching each question. He was like a traffic police that calls out and immediately corrects each flaw in my thought process. The only thing left on my part was to follow the steps that Harry laid down for me and be disciplined througout the process. After four sessions with Harry, I felt much more confident on Verbal and increased my accuracy rates significantly. Finally, I passed the 700 barrier and scored 710 (V38-Q49).

I worked with Harry who was awesome in order to get me over the edge to hit my score goal. On short notice, he took me on for two sessions. He quickly identified a few improvement items and helped me improve my time management over the course of the two sessions. I found him to be extremely clear in his feedback and candid in where he saw my potential to be on the exam. In the end I improved my score from 700 on 12/17/2022 to 730 on 1/3/2023. The 730 was my target goal and I'm grateful I was referred to Harry who played a big role in getting me there on such short notice..

Coming from an extremely weak quantitative background and 8 months of studying using various programs and resources, I had taken the GMAT four times before reaching out to GMAT Ninja. I was feeling quite hopeless (to be honest) about achieving my target score of +700, but after tutoring with Harry and Charles, I was able to score a 710. They helped me become confident in my skills and knowledge, and they enhanced my thought process to optimize my test-taking performance. I am forever grateful for their patience and support throughout my journey. I give GMAT Ninja the highest recommendation to anyone looking to improve their score. Not only are they brilliant and experienced, but they are also wonderful people.

TLDR: Harry Duthie is an absolute legend who helped me achieve a 750 after I couldn't break 690 using TTP and a test prep course. GMAT Ninja isn't cheap, but the attention and skill of these folks makes it 100% worth it. If I could do it all over again, I would have engaged Harry much earlier in the study process.
My GMAT study journey began with Target Test Prep after scoring a 650 on my first cold mock. While TTP is an incredible content review, I found myself quickly overwhelmed with the sheer quantity of content & questions, and feeling entirely on my own when stuck on questions / concepts. This led me to enrolling in a group course (Test Crackers). While the course helped with test strategy and had office hours, the incredible amount of time spent in classes and doing problem sets left me feeling burnout and was often untargeted. Also, by the end of the course it became clear to me that most group classes are focused on getting people to the 600s, but test company courses’ overreliance on sometimes gimmicky strategies and focus on teaching towards the average won't reliably yield a 700+ score.
After spending 100+ hours on TTP and Test Crackers, I took my second official mock and received a 710 (V42, Q45). Seemed fantastic until I took my third mock official mock and received a 640 (V41, Q36). With only two weeks before my first scheduled official exam I reached out to GMAT Ninja.
Within the first reply it was clear to me I was going to be working with experts who truly cared about maximizing the performance of their students. Charles took the time to go through my mocks (free of charge) and identified timing issues & concept gaps and gave me an extremely honest and accurate assessment of the time and work it'd require to achieve my goal score.
I went on to work with Harry who is an absolute gem of a person. He took the time during our first session to holistically understand what was holding me back (i.e. time management and content gaps). We went on to work together for ~10 sessions during which we'd review concepts, work through problem areas together, and discuss timing strategy. GMAT Ninja even has proprietary question sets to help target weak spots without have to burn through OG questions.
What really stood out to me about Harry is that he clearly took significant time and thought before sessions to look through my error log from the homework and identify what concepts were holding me back. Therefore, our sessions together were always extremely targeted and efficient. Absolutely no gimmicks - he helps you fully understand the concepts and gives you tailored approaches to question types that trip you up. Harry is also incredibly honest - he will tell you when you need more work and will tell you when you're ready. By the end of our time working together Harry made it clear that he knew I was ready and that more tutoring wasn't going to benefit me despite my desire to keep going (he was right - I got a 750).

I reached out to GMAT Ninja at point in my gmat journey wherein I had spent almost 2 years studying using various sources. But after all this effort I was unable to improve my performance on the quant section and was scoring between Q35 to Q40 on official mocks.
Harry Duthie the tutor who I worked with helped me immensely in recognising the exact process related mistakes that I was committing. The perspectives and solutions that Harry bought in based on his prior experience really helped me my improve Quant score and become much more efficient in Verbal. Harry and Charles were both very accommodating to all my requests and very prompt in responding to all the queries.
I would definitely recommend GMAT Ninja for any looking to improve their GMAT scores.

Harry and I mainly worked over CR and SC over the course of four sessions. Aside from being an absolute gem of a human being, Harry is also one of the most meticulous, passionate, and dedicated teachers I've had. I think it's safe to say that if he didn't press or force me to think harder each time I was sloppy, my CR would've been a disaster. I've literally seen myself become a better and more logical thinker over the course of the month or so that we worked together.
While our focus during the tutoring sessions was mostly CR and SC, Harry made sure I wasn't slipping up on quant and RC either - working with him made me realize just how many silly mistakes I tend to make, and what I should do to avoid them (which was instrumental in scoring a Q50). Harry was also super supportive throughout the entire process and helped me retain my sanity in the final week or so leading up to the test. Suffice to say, then, I highly recommend Harry to anyone who needs help on the verbal or quant side of things.

Working with Harry was the best decision I made during my GMAT preparation. During our time together, Harry instilled in me a systematic, gimmick-free process to attacking the GMAT that gave me the best odds at reaching my target score. More impressively, he tailored the sessions based on my weaknesses and delivered the sessions in a cordial manner. Lastly, when I had to travel halfway around the world in the middle of our sessions, Harry gladly accommodated my new schedule with a convenient session time. After two months working with Harry, I walked away with a 750!
P.S. Don’t be afraid to ask Harry for book recommendations!

If you are looking for easy, stress-free course and ready to spend 2 years for GMAT, this school is not your choice. If you are determined and need to get the score as soon as possible, it is.
I started my course with Harry after training GMAT with other school for 1 year. I hit 670 in half a year but was struggling to improve further as everyone was.
Harry gave me many homework, fundamental skills, motivation and my target score in 5 months.
GMAT training is never easy. There is no magic and you need to go through hard and time consuming training, doing a lot of problem sets. GMAT Ninja will give you the best and shortest endurance as long as you are ready to overcome.
It's not easy. It's really stressful. However, it's worth.

Starting my preparation one month before the test, I was very late to the GMAT prep game. Harry was very critical of my work, making me walk him through my problem-solving process and questioning my rationale when a step that I took was logically flawed. Harry also made me aware of the most efficient way to answer questions, and he was adamant in ensuring that I used the most efficient method. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for achieving such a dramatic improvement in both verbal and overall scores within a period that is less than half of the typical minimum!
