I started preparing for GMAT somewhere in July 2015. However, owing to work pressure and other personal engagements I couldn't concentrate enough.
I wrote my first mock GMAT Prep Test on 18th September and scored a 650 Q 48 V 32. A miserable score considering the competition in India.
Then I kept studying OGs and other books but my verbal performance did not improve at all.
A senior from work suggested going for eGMAT Verbal. I was apprehensive at first owing to the price. But went ahead with it anyway. I must tell you that this has been the best ivestment I have ever made.
I bought the package on 20th October and appeared for the test on 15th November 2015. Roughly 25 days time for preparation.
I must admit that I had always been overconfident about my grammar but eGMAT helped me a lot to bring me to the level of confidence.
The sentence-correction module is downright outstanding. You learn in small packets that boost your confidence. The material is superb and so is technique that teach you.
Critical Reasoning is an alien subject for most Indian students (non-native English users). eGMAT helped me excel in this aspect. The various components of an argument. The question types. Elimination strategies. And most of all addressing the fear of boldfaced questions.
If you want to clear the verbal section of GMAT with flying colours take this course from e-GMAT.
If I can improve from V 32 to V 50 anyone can.
All the best for your test and prep.

Hello! I would like to highly recommend e-GMAT for verbal course.
I started my GMAT preparation by joining a reputed coaching center. From beginning itself, my weaker area was verbal hence I concentrated the most on this section.
I would say I was doing fairly well by the time I was going to take my GMAT exam. I was scoring between 38-42 in all four GMAT prep exams in the verbal section. However, in the actual exam I had to settle with a very low score of V 29. During post analysis of my exam, I understood that my biggest fault was exam taking strategy. Other biggest mistake was my impression that my basics are clear in CR. However, I was really struggling in CR during the exam and surprisingly in SC as well, which was my biggest strength as per me. I understood that my basics and approach towards the problem was not correct.
I subscribed to e-GMAT Verbal course. The experience was fantastic. The interactive way of teaching with presentations was quite effective. All the basics are covered very nicely.
Along with that the teaching approach with "Pre- thinking" method is very helpful. Furthermore, the questions at the end of each topic and the detailed approach to solve the question helps a lot in understanding the approach.
Moreover, the question bank " Scholaranium" is one of the best things that I have found for verbal practice. The levels of questions are very good and resemble pretty much to actual GMAT. Along with that for me the biggest requirement was solutions to the problems. Scholaranium provided in depth solutions to all the problems with amazing "Pre- thinking" approach. I should surely mention the help we get from teachers in solving our doubts. The teachers are very strong and respond very quickly.
The result was a good jump to V34 in my second attempt. In my second innings also I was scoring between 38-40 in verbal section in GMAT preps but this time I was more confident in my approach to solving problems. I would say I could have got much better in verbal in my second attempt also but again I screwed up because of my glitch in exam taking strategy. But surely my confidence level and comfortness with questions were much higher this time.
All the credit goes to e-GMAT!
My first attempt score was 640. Finally scored 690. Split as follows:
Q-49
V-34
AWA-6.0
IR-4
Just two days back received the R2 results of ISB and have got admit in ISB Mohali.:-)
Thanks and Regards,
Prateek
e-GMAT Verbal online course helped me build confidence to write the GMAT Verbal section . I understand the basics now . It provides a technical approach to non-native speakers in order attack the verbal section .I would say you should try this invaluable tool from the beginning of your GMAT prep so that you gain the most. The course doesn't bombard you with multiple jargons. Instead it provides it own naming convention which is easy to understand and can be easily put to practise during the exam. The course is quite exhaustive and no other material is required for your preparation apart from official guides. Best of Luck !
I am yet to take the GMAT exam, it's scheduled on 2nd of April '16. What I particularly liked about the course is the format in which the content is presented to the user. It's goal oriented and one can't jump into the next content without successfully finishing the present module. I really loved this because it aligns to my style of learning. I chose this product, I'm a non-native speaker, based on the reviews on given on GC and would request all the aspirants to check it out on https://e-gmat.com/buy/#GMAT-Verbal-Prep The team will revert in one working day. Thank you.
E-GMAT verbal is really sound tool for all who want to improve Verbal part of the GMAT in short period of time.
Study materials are well sorted and delivered to users in a very understandable manner. Moreover, I personally enjoy the electronic format of studying instead of having heavy books. Reading the text from the screen puts you in exam format while studying, and that really makes you more prepared for the exam.
E-Gmat is the most innovative tool for the GMAT preparation I have met, and it is perhaps the best solution for affordable price available in the market
I took the verbal online course 6 months back, and this course has been very beneficial in my preparation. My area of weakness was the verbal section of GMAT. E-GMAT diagnostic tests helped narrow down the sub-topics that needed more attention.
My performance in mocks has also improved. There has been a drastic improvement in my verbal ability especially for Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. I am still polishing my skills in Sentence Correction before I plan to take further mock tests
This ability quizzes are part of the Scholaranium tool offered by e-GMAT which gives the true estimate of your weaknesses by providing detail statistics. Also, for each attempted question you get analytics of the percentage correct attempts and the average time spent for each question. This quite helps in assessing the time we spend on each question based on its difficulty.
I will surely recommend this course to GMAT aspirants.
I have started preparing for the GMAT sometime around July 2015. At the beginning, I only used the GMAT Official Guide and some other resources (Manhattan GMAT) for my study. Having scored only 640 (Q:48 and V: 29) on my first GMAT test, I was devastated. I realised that in order to improve my score I had to concentrate my effort on the Verbal section.
Through my research at various online forums (Beatthegmat, Gmatclub), I found very positive reviews of eGMAT and decided to give this a try. It was probably one of the best investments I have made so far.
I bought the Verbal Online course which included separate study sections for CR, SC and RC. Having tried a number of other GMAT study resources, I have to say the Verbal Online is the most comprehensive GMAT prep for Verbal in the market. It is even more useful for non-native English speakers like myself.
All the study sections are very well structured. You will learn simple concepts first, followed by practice questions at the end of every module to reinforce your learning. Advance concepts are introduced later on and you can also practice the concept with actual Official questions. This method is very useful to build your knowledge and improve your performance gradually.
The best thing about this course is that it teaches you a consistent and reliable process to tackle SC and CR questions. For example, eGMAT teaches you to focus on the correct meaning of a SC problem and understand the sentence structure before reviewing the answer choices. Regarding CR, you need to understand the assumptions and pre-think the answers for each question. Once you have mastered these techniques, a lot of the tough GMAT questions will be more straightforward.
Since taking the course, I have improved my accuracy rate on in both noticed a significant improvement in my performance in both SC and CR. My accuracy rate is now around 80-85% for CR questions.
I totally recommend this course to anyone looking to improve their GMAT performance.

Hi
I took the verbal online course 6 months back, and I can say that a lot has changed since then regarding my Verbal Prep.
I am yet to take any mocks, but I can say just by the experience that there has been a drastic improvement in my verbal ability especially for Sentence Correction (39% to 91%) and Reading Comprehension (from 48% to 78%). I am still polishing my skills on Critical Reasoning before I plan to take any mock test.
This ability quizzes are part of the Scholaranium tool offered by e-GMAT which gives the true estimate of your weaknesses by providing detail statistics. Also, for each attempted question you get analytics of the percentage correct attempts and the average time spent for each question. This quite helps in assesssing the time we spend on each question based on its difficulty.
I will surely recommend this course to GMAT aspirants.
I took the gmat 3 months back and scored a 730!!(q49 V 40).I subscribed to egmat verbal online and saw the difference..This was my 4th attempt.Myverbal score was not moving beyond V28.However with egmat i managed to score V 40.The methods used by e gmat are just amazing. My initial score was 570.My weakest area was CR,but the pre thinking method on egmat just made it so simple.Eevn SC became very easy since egmat teaches you how to focus on meaning as well as grammar.Everything is so methdical, that it becomes so simple.I strongly recommend e-gmat to all those who wanna boost their score.E gmat is the best course you will ever find for verbal(especially for non natives)
Before to enroll on e-GMAT course I tried taking courses offered by universities and studying by myself and I just felt that I was wasting my time and money. The e-GMAT Verbal Online course has been helping me to gain confidence, now I’m feeling myself more confident. I’m going to keep you posting about my score once I take the course next March.
The teachers are really good and the way the course is conducted is a must, they are well organized and are focuses on your success.
For me, this is the best course for non-native speakers if you want to succeed on the verbal section.
