E-gmat verbal, I would say my savior ..I was literally struggling to remember the rules in the Manhattan SC book ...and the less i talk about my application of those rules in official question, the better it is...After about 3-4 weeks of studying Manhattan SC I was not getting even 50% of the question correct ...then from somewhere I got this link for free webinar for SC ..and trust me within half an hour of the webinar I made my decision to join verbal live prep from e-gmat ..but then the usual skepticism started so I waited to attend another free session which was 15 days from then ...and finally made my decision to join ...
If I regret anything about my preparation, it is those 15 days I wasted in thinking about making the decision..which could have well made a difference of another 20 points atleast to my score...
I took the online verbal course by eGMAT and I must say that I was very impressed by the way the topics were covered. The matter is quite relevant to the pattern and also the questions and quizzes included were of great help in improving the GMAT score. I would recommend E-GMAT verbal prep to anyone preparing for GMAT. The Scholoranium which comes free with egmat Verbal courses is a beast in itself. A humongous collection of questions & their deep analysis will take you further in your gmat prep. The analytics it provides for the questions attempted is also world class. Often the students have to prepare their own error logs using Excel and what not. This tool automates a lot of that and gives you insights which you can utilize to improve your performance in areas where you are not performing well.
Overall, its a great practice tool to further refine your gmat verbal prep. You yourself will see the results after you have been halfway through the questions database as the concepts covered and tested are thorough and comprehensive.
For few very tough questions, the explanation might be confusing but don't get disheartened if you get them wrong, focus more on enhancing your learning with each attempt rather than trying to get everything right all the time.
If you have taken some other course, you can also buy this separately for which I highly recommend to do so.
I highly recommend the e-GMAT Quant Live Prep course to anyone who feels comfortable in the quantitative section but still don't manage to reach Q49-51 score. The course stresses on the importance of little details that make the difference during the exam or practice questions. It helps you how to face complex questions under time pressure circumstances.
Its practice exercises are a golden mine and you must squeeze all the key takeaways that each of those exercises puts forward.
Now I feel in a great shape to score Q49+ thanks to the great material offered by e-GMAT. Hopefully I will be able to share a new success story with all of you very soon. Fingers crossed
e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep course has been really helpful to me for my GMAT exam preparations. When I started my preparations for the exam, I was confident and also familiar with the exam format but, I was unable to get decent score in the tests. Upon much analysis, I realized there was a need to build upon basic concepts of Verbal. Verbal Live Prep course concept files are very precise and there is an attention to detail. The application files further builds up on the process of leveraging the concepts and applying them successfully. Live sessions helps in understanding and devising the correct approach to solve questions. The course in itself is a complete package for GMAT verbal preparations.
E-gmat's verbal prep is perfect for non-native speakers. Sentence correction is one aspect of the course that can really push your score if you master it. Mastering SC in verbal is actually the simplest way to boost your score.
E-gmat's live sessions were excellent in terms of laying a solid foundation for the course. I feel the biggest advantage of the course is the scholaranium which allows you to take multiple tests at various levels of difficulty and improve your performance.
No wonder they have the highest reviews for verbal. I am extremely satisfied with the course and recommend it to all non-native english speakers. Thank you rajat, payal and team!
E-gmat Quant course will help you cover all the Quant topics.
If you are not good at quant then definitely it's the right choice.
But if you are already good at quant then you just need to look at the questions.
The explanation is good for novice.
However , I like quick solutions which is not available in e-gmat.
But the good part of egmat quant covers all set of questions.
Questions are consolidated in a very nice manner.
Permutation Combination is very well explained.
Just do all the questions of Permutation Combination.
For quick and short cuts refer some other course.
They also have a question forum on which you can get your doubts clarified.
Not only this E-gmat is kind enough to extend the course for 1 month for free of cost.
Thank you E-gmat.
The E-gmat Quant Live Prep is excellent. It is structured. Core concepts are broken down into manageable chunks. Everything makes sense. Furthermore, the LIVE sessions of the course introduced me to the pace. E-gmat features something called 'rapid fire' which does not give you a chance to think. You either know it (in which case you'll answer the question based on core concepts straight away) or you won't i.e. think for too long or get confused. When others answer in the allotted time, you have it right there in front of you - you’re not competitive and it is time to strengthen those concepts. In my opinion, these advantages alone are well worth the investment in the course.
The key features of the course are:
i)There is segmentation in the sections-RC/SC/CR
ii) Each section has Qs divided into diffculty levels-Easy/Medium/Hard
iii) The Qs pool is holistic covering all topics & concept
iv)One can take full length tests or customize the test according to the needs in the dashboard.
v) The Quizzes are saved and one can refer upon requirement in Attempts.
vi) There is Q&A platform with each Q to resolve the doubts.
vii) One can also put notes with each Q & can track upon need
viii)Also one can bookmark the Qs for revision
viii) The most important feature is one can track the progress and can look in which are is strong and which requires more focus in skill data.
Back about 6 months ago, I signed up for e-GMAT Verbal and Quant courses and realized that I should have stuck with them from the beginning. Now that I realize the values that the courses offered and I've been through others', I think I can provide pointers for those that about to prep.
- SC course is extraordinary! The explanations of every single OG question is detailed and help students see clearly why each answer choice is right or wrong. If you think 2 answers are very close and can both be correct, e-gmat would show you why one of them is *obviously* the wrong choice. For e-gmat, there is NO close to correct. This is valuable especially for non-English speakers because we can approach the questions systematically and get the right answer. Unlike English speaking students, we don't have the 'ear' for right and wrong in Verbal (sometime, the ear doesn't help with difficult questions either)
- CR and RC courses are also very good. I think CR and RC need different approach than SC. I started out as not as strong but now these are my comfortable subjects. E-gmat did a good job with these 2 course but what work for me was to practice and practice (OG, LSAT, etc) until you're super comfortable.
- I like the course set up with the concepts, quizzes, lectures, apply to GMAT questions, and OG questions list. It gives me a framework to work through and make sure I learn the right thing, right amount, at the right time. If you're a technical person (I'm an engineer) you will enjoy this set up since you know exactly what you need to cover and how you will do it.
I hope you try e-gmat and really put your best effort forward. You'll know a whole lot more than other gmaters...and you most likely get a higher score as well.

I am a corporate lawyer and had not even touched quant books for more than a decade. e-GMAT Quant Online and Quant Live helped me refresh fundamental concepts of Quant and understand how to be smart in applying those concepts in two mins, respectively. I have often seen people diving into higher level of maths than required for GMAT and e-GMAT, thankfully, provides one of a kind of opportunity where one can simply focus on what is required from a GMAT aspirant. Their concept of number properties is amazing and I never faced any problem in number properties again. Quant is all about practice and practice and e-GMAT's selection of OG questions are sufficient exercise one needs after completing a particular module. Trust me, I have not even finished entire OG and QR 2nd edition. Am glad I found e-GMAT in this sea of GMAT Prep courses.
