Follow grammar rules not your ear when it comes to SC

The e-gmat verbal tutorials are excellent for non-native English speakers like me. The tutorials explain concepts in a simple and easy to grasp manner. For sentence correction I used to go with my ear i.e how the sentence would sound to me and would hover around the 94 percentile but e-gmat helped push my score to 99 percentile. The tutorial on Verb-ed and Verb-ing helped me especially as verbs were my Waterloo.
I stopped following my ear and strictly applied the grammar rules and lo and behold my score increased drastically. I feel e-gmat's sentence correction is very helpful especially for non-natives because the English we speak is very different from gmat English.

I looked up the various available resources on GMAT preparation on gmatclub.com when I could not move my verbal score upwards after trying the different books on Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning.

I realized that the online verbal course by e-GMAT differentiates itself from other online and offline course materials in the extensive list of topics covered and the practice tests at the end of each of those lessons. Knowledge about every possible concept is very important especially when you aim to score higher on the GMAT and the test tends to surprise you with a wide variety of questions as you progress. The video mode of learning ensures that you remain engaged throughout the learning process.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the verbal online course to my friends preparing for GMAT and are hoping to achieve a higher score.

Before I started to prepare for GMAT, I have a chance to join E-GMAT free strategy workshop, which Rajat share his opinions on how people should prepare for GMAT. This session is really useful and I decided to enrol for GMAT live prep(E-GMAT courses for both Verbal and Quant).

Before I started the course I decided to took the gmatprep again to gauge my ability, while I already took it 1 time 3years ago at that time I score a dismal 450 but at that time my English wasn't very good, I didn't understand what's DS want from me, etc. so I decided to took it again to check my current ability.I got 590 (Q46,V25) while this improve a lot from last practice test, I knew that the road to 700 for me is sill a long way to go.

So I started my preparation in verbal, I've found that E-GMAT strategy for CR and SC is really effective. The interactive class is a useful way you to help you learn and the practice questions give you opportunities to practice concepts you just learned. I've found that E-GMAT concept files and practice questions complement with OG was enough for me, and due to time constrain I didn't attend their workshop, so I can't comment on those.

I gave my GMAT exam in march of 2013 and scored 640(Q45, V35). I made the classic mistake of studying until the very last minute and not sleeping properly before the night of the exam (barely 4 hours of sleep) and my exam was early morning. I was very disappointed, especially since i am from an engineering background and always considered Math to be one of my strengths.

After some time, I decided to give it another try and registered for e-gmat Quant live prep. Although i haven't taken the GMAT exam yet, I found the Quant videos to be extremely helpful. I loved the number properties videos and also the advanced Quant videos (probability and P&C Questions). I hope to perform well in me next attempt. Based on my current experience, I would highly recommend e-gmat courses to any aspiring students. The teaching staff is exceptional.

I have been preparing for GMAT on and off for sometime and i had difficulty in managing a very busy schedule at work ranging from 10-14 hours at times and devoting enough time for preparation. I gave my first GMAT test in march 2013 where i scored 640(Q45, V35).

Neeless to say i was very disappointed and decided to give it a second try. I have registered for e-gmat courses and found their video lessons to be very helpful especially the verbal courses. I have tried several other reputed course material which are also good, but I found e-gmat method of video lessons to be especially helpful for somebody who is having a hard time concentrating after a very long day at work. Since i haven't been able to give my exam on time, they have been gracious enough to extend my registration till the end of my GMAT exam. I hope to revisit and give another update after my GMAT is done.

I signed up for e-gmat's GMAT Live Prep after struggling with my studies for a long time. Being a non-native speaker, I was having a really difficult time in the verbal section. After reading a lot of positive reviews and going through some free session, I decided to sign-up with e-gmat. It turned out to be the best decision of my GMAT journey. The course content and the delivery method is absolutely perfect. The strategies are easy to follow and cover everything you need for the GMAT. The scholaranium serves as a perfect practice platform. Everything about the course is just amazing. They have got some amazing instructors who are always there to help you out. I would highly recommend the course to everyone, especially the ones who are struggling with the verbal section.

I started to prepare for GMAT an year before.Went to Time coaching centre(a decent coaching centre having branches in most places over India).I understood most of things taught there and prepared well for exam.A few days before exam I wrote a mock test and was shocked to see my performance especially in English section (530 with Q21).

Heard from my cousine about egmat course(He had got 690 and is into Boston University now :) ) .I cancelled my GMAT date and joined for e-gmat.I improved my Verbal ability from 21 to 30 in 8 days .Have not took my GMAT yet .Planing for last week of Feb but am sure I will get a good score.Crystal clear concepts taught on best possible way.I was not interested in an online class but now onwards I would go only for online classes .
Hats off to e-gmat way of reaching.

When I 1st thought of taking up GMAT, I knew verbal is where I’ll fall. After going through MGMAT SC and CR practicing a lot from different sources, I scored 28 in verbal which solidified my fear. I immediately started preparing for my 2nd attempt but was in doubt as I didn’t have clear plan for verbal. One of friends recommended e-GMAT to me and after attending the free strategy and RC class, I was confident that it’ll be helpful for me.
My weakest area, being a non-native, was SC. In my 1st attempt I was completely surprised that the questions I was doing in the actual test were out of my comprehension, even though I did go through a number of materials online and scored above 700 multiple times during the prep. After attending the 1st few classes of SC, my problem was clear to me. I had difficulty understanding the meaning of the question. My previous strategy was to look for an error in question and read all the options and eliminate them accordingly.
e-GMAT focus on meaning understanding really helped me. For me best aspect of the course were the live sessions. I was able to clear my doubts and at the same time see various others queries and problems which my fellow classmates were having. The discussion in live session really helped me hone my verbal understanding.
Fortunately after just a 45 days of signing up, I gave my 2nd attempt and scored 37 in verbal, yielding an overall score of 730.
I would recommend e-GMAT to anyone having difficulties in verbal. Their course structure is designed help noobs & pros alike. Most importantly it won’t hurt your pocket as much as its competitive courses would.

This course is a great way to start my studies for the GMAT. I have not taken the test yet, but have taken a few practice tests and have improved immensely. It gave me structure to study as well as guidelines and what to focus on first. It is important to know that taking this class isn't just throwing money at studying; you really have to be as invested in the program and use all the resources in order to get the most of out of your experience.
e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep course, indeed, is one of the most valuable gift for a GMAT aspirant, especially the one who is struggling with the verbal section, can give to himself / herself. The course is clearly geared for students (native as well as non-native speakers) seeking the types of scores needed to get into top-tier b-schools. The materials and classes are extremely well thought out and taught by really talented and smart people (Rajat, Payel, Neeti).
Overall the Verbal Live Prep is unique course with following key advantages:
• Extremely organized course curriculum for SC, CR & RC section including study plan, practice questions & its detailed explanations which you might not of think that one before.
• Live sessions to interact with faculty/experts & see how they approach of harder/difficult problems using e-GMAT techniques
• 24X7 email support from the e-GMAT team (this is much needed while you have some doubt)
I highly recommend Verbal Live Prep course to all GMAT aspirants who are looking to improve accuracy and timing in verbal section.
