Amazing Product

Pros:
1. Provides a very well structured study plan with concepts and quizzes for each section. (This may be useful for anyone who lacks discipline)
2. Comes with free mock exams that can generate performance analytical reports. (However, the timer doesn't work well, leading to wrong timings of your response time)
3. The e-GMAT time was kind enough to extend my course when I couldn't finish it in time. (The login was valid for about 6 months and they extended it for 2 months)

Cons:
1. Repetition in both contents and methods. I completed the whole course and took notes diligently. At the end I found some similar notes appeared multiple times--some contents were repeated here and there. The few e-GMAT methods used to solve Verbal questions were heavily repeated.

2. Methods don't work. In theory they sound good. But after studying the course for 8 months, I found these methods very time consuming and mentally draining in practice. They just don't work well in mock/real GMAT exams.

3. The course is very inflexible. This inflexibility, coupled with the fact that the course is extremely content heavy, makes it very time consuming to finish the whole course. It took me 8 months to finish (I work full time). I can't control my pace. Some contents are easy for me and repeated too much. The repetition plus sheer volume of contents buries the important areas which I may be weak at. It feels as if you read a whole library of books within 8 months. At the end, your mind goes blank. Maybe you remember a little here and there but nothing stands out. ROI is just so low: you spent so much time reaping so little improvement in your verbal skills.

My improvement in Verbal

I am a latin-american, so a non-native student. Since I studied engineering, the Quant part didn't seem as difficult as the Verbal section.

Even though I am not finished the course, i have just reserved the GMAT test for the first week of November. I was stuck in Verbal (27-31), but E-gmat verbal online has just unlock my score and wanted to share this with all the students who may be in the same situation.

I started to study from some books and practicing with the official bank of questions of the GMAT, for both the quant a verbal sections, and after a couple of months I took a Mock with the official GMATPrep, obtaining 630 (M49, V27). It was confusing, in one hand I was happy to easily see 49 in the quant section, but was shocked to see that I was under the mean in the verbal. I continued practicing and took two other mocks, but I was unable to improve my verbal ability over the 31 score. My greatest weaknesses came from Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning (in RC obtained 41). It was very frustrating.

Then I started to read from experiences of other test takers and found out that it was quite usual, they said that you cannot improve more only with "brute force", you need an approach. Then a friend from my job recommended me the E-GMAT Online course.

First, I discovered that a video course is way more effective than books, I really liked the graphics.

Second, the general approach is based on structure (SC, CR, RC-I am still finishing this one). This, for an engineer like me, was something that talked in my language, it makes a huge difference.

The Sentence Correction approach is very different from what I was doing before. It is focused on developing your ability by first centered in Understanding the Meaning, second structure, third learning to identify all the mistakes of a Sentence before going to the answer choices. This new approach is a complete change in how I understood each question, because I learnt to identify every type of question and discarding answer choices started to seem easier.

The Critical Reasoning also helped me a lot. It is centered in understanding completely the arguments, and after in Pre-Thinking solutions. This pre-thinking process made me understand the direction of the line of reasoning of the arguments. Another feature that helped me a lot was the typologies of correct and incorrect answers for every type of question.

After completing the SC and CR in that order, I just have taken a mock from GMATPrep, obtaining 710 (M48, V38). Watching the 700+ was a huge relief for me, more if the improvement on the Verbal was so dramatic. I took some quizzes only of Verbal and saw the same score (38-39), confirming my improvement. So I decided to write a review for those who are experiencing the same frustration of being stuck in the early 30s of the verbal.

Well, this is all I want to share by now, hope to write a happy new review in November just after the test, but by now I definitely recommend the E-GMAT online course for all students struggling with the Verbal.

As a student of EGMAT, who has taken Verbal Online, I felt significant improvement in my score. The conceptual clarity that EGMAT provides is unparalleled and is undeniably helps someone get a great Verbal score. Not only is the content great but also the teaching plan is top notch. Following the SC plan really helped. The EGMAT Verbal online SC itself is a great product. Even CR is above average, but I won’t recommend RC, since it is similar to what everybody else teaches. Also the video method suited me since it was easy for me to stay at home and see the videos whenever I wanted to brush up any concept.

I have started my preparation for GMAT in 2013 and have tried many different resources through out this time. As a non-native English speaker I struggled to grasp the grammar concepts and thus had a difficult time studying for Verbal. E-GMAT Verbal live prep helped me understand the grammar concepts that are vital not only for SC but also for RC and CR. Moreover, the strategies that are outlined for tackling different types of questions are a must know as they help to save time and have a plan for each type of question. Course is very interactive and has quizzes at the end of each topic that helps to cement the information covered during the audio lessons. This course is a must have for those who want to learn step-by-step process for solving the questions.

I have started my preparation for GMAT in 2013 and from the first Mock test realized that being good at math is not the only key factor to do well on GMAT Quant. E-GMAT Quant live prep helped me to see the math problems differently and improved my quant accuracy significantly. E-gmat quant live prep thought me short cuts for solving the difficult questions. Running out of time had always put a lot of pressure on me, now when I do mock test I have few minutes in reserve.
All in all I highly recommend E-GMAT quant live prep to everybody, even for them who are confident in their quant ability.

'Verbal for non-natives' - that's the perfect way to describe the e-GMAT Verbal Online Course. Like many other non-native speakers, verbal section was my achilles' heel. After thorough research about available verbal courses, I decided to buy e-GMAT Verbal Online. And I am happy to have trusted e-GMAT for my verbal preparation. Not only they have a huge collection of quality questions but also their solutions are superb. I also liked the way course is structured in several modules - each covering a set of related concepts; it helped me develop sound fundamental. Also noteworthy is the size of their question pool, which helped me build upon the fundamentals and be ready for my test day.
Overall, it's a must for any non-native speaker.

E-gmat verbal , a must for non-natives

e-GMAT course is much more impactful than any other course that I have taken. What I have learned from this course in 3 days is more than what I learned after using a leading test prep SC book for 3 weeks. The explanations by e-GMAT are fantastic. Explanations by other test prep companies seem shallow. Furthermore, only at e-GMAT have I found a standardized process to solve SC questions that works equally well for 500 and 800 level questions. The flexibility to pause, rewind, and replay enables me to learn at my own pace.
As a non-native English speaker, I found it hard to crack the sentence correction questions. My accuracy was around 60% and how many ever problems I solved from various resources, I wasn't able to improve my accuracy. That's when I came to know about e-GMAT. Barely after a week of studying this course, I could see a significant improvement in my accuracy. The way e-GMAT explains the concepts is refreshingly different and it makes solving sentence correction questions pretty interesting. I was using numerous other resources and everything had somewhat the same approach and some of the questions got repeated across the materials. e-GMAT gave me a solid method to approach the sentence correction questions and I could apply the same method in all types of questions whether simple or difficult. Once I completed the concepts and exercises in the course, I stared solving problems from OG and I could achieve an accuracy level of 80 - 90% every time. I have already recommended e-GMAT course to couple of my friends and would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone who is struggling with sentence correction. I came across e-GMAT through various reviews in Gmatclub forum. I was initially confused between crackverbal and e-GMAT and finally decided to go with e-GMAT after attending one of Rajat's webminars. The course starts with very basics of verbal concepts (subjects & verbs) and goes deep in each of the topic well. Each video starts with a pre assessment to assess your existing skill level and then the concept videos. Finally, there will be an application file where they test you and score your skill learned through the concept videos. If it is below the acceptable grade, then they will suggest you to redo the concepts. There is an additional section for each of the concept which gives selected OG questions related to each of the concept taught. This provides a grip of the topic and how it will be tested in real GMAT.

e-gmat verbal live prep review - before the test

I had thought of writing this review after taking my GMAT but it’s almost 19 days away so here you go –

The best thing about the e-gmat course is that all the material is together at one place so you won’t have to look at 15 books, 20 sites and 25 note books and you can carry it anywhere. That the material is as comprehensive as it can be is a bonus. Icing on the cake, if you have taken the live prep, is the way any concept is explained during the live sessions. The lessons are animated so that you can go through them at any time and even while you’re doing something else. Also, you see the lesson and you hear the audio which minimizes any outside interference or distraction (I use a headphone for maximum use).

The first live session for me was the free RC session. It’s just GOLD. The way instructor explained the point of view of the author and the main point of the passage was marvelous and really hit the bulls eye. So it’s no surprise that I hit a 51 in RC in GMAT Prep 2 exam last week.

CR has 9 different sections with each section having 1-4 lessons (with each lesson having it’s own quiz), followed by a practice quiz and then a session quiz. The live prep has 6 live sessions and covers each type of question. You can take the quizzes multiple times and all the previous session records are there for you to see. Each session covers the question strategy and how to identify the incorrect answers. The solutions are pretty detailed as well. For example, in boldface type questions it has a ready reckoner list which tells a student what are the many options can be, how are they renamed and how to identify the correct answer and how to connect the two boldface lines (if there are more than one). Then it tells you how the test makers confuse you and how to avoid falling into the trap.

The best section of the course is the SC section. It has covered each topic in detail and there are several blogs about most of the topics apart from the animated lessons. The blogs themselves are more than 200 pages if you collate them. SC was my weakest section but now I am more confident in SC than in any other section.

If you have done the session, followed all the instructions, reviewed the correct as well as incorrect answer choices you’d score more than 40 in each of the section for sure.

Massive help for GMAT (and real life!)

e-GMAT course is extremely comprehensive. I usually struggle to structure my time / plan for studying; however, e-GMAT provide a fool proof schedule that helped me improve my score from 650 to 700 in three weeks. As a non-native English speaker, the contents in the course really help break down the structure of grammars (useful in the GMAT and real life) and making the verbal section much more "quant-like." As far as the strategy of attacking questions, I was skeptical at first as it took longer than my "natural" method but as I get use to the e-GMAT method, my accuracy sky rocketed. Thank you e-GMAT!
