Back about 6 months ago, I signed up for e-GMAT Verbal and Quant courses and realized that I should have stuck with them from the beginning. Now that I realize the values that the courses offered and I've been through others', I think I can provide pointers for those that about to prep.

- SC course is extraordinary! The explanations of every single OG question is detailed and help students see clearly why each answer choice is right or wrong. If you think 2 answers are very close and can both be correct, e-gmat would show you why one of them is *obviously* the wrong choice. For e-gmat, there is NO close to correct. This is valuable especially for non-English speakers because we can approach the questions systematically and get the right answer. Unlike English speaking students, we don't have the 'ear' for right and wrong in Verbal (sometime, the ear doesn't help with difficult questions either)

- CR and RC courses are also very good. I think CR and RC need different approach than SC. I started out as not as strong but now these are my comfortable subjects. E-gmat did a good job with these 2 course but what work for me was to practice and practice (OG, LSAT, etc) until you're super comfortable.

- I like the course set up with the concepts, quizzes, lectures, apply to GMAT questions, and OG questions list. It gives me a framework to work through and make sure I learn the right thing, right amount, at the right time. If you're a technical person (I'm an engineer) you will enjoy this set up since you know exactly what you need to cover and how you will do it.

I hope you try e-gmat and really put your best effort forward. You'll know a whole lot more than other gmaters...and you most likely get a higher score as well.

My journey with e-GMAT

I started my GMAT preparation towards the end of 2015 and while contemplating on whether to take classroom coaching or online courses, a friend suggested e-GMAT. After taking a few trial lessons, I was convinced with their approach and methodology which was really concise and exam specific yet covers everything important detail without compromising on content. Special mention about the SC course, thanks to which I saw maximum improvement in my scores within a short period of time. I scored a miserable V14 on my first GMATPrep mock and after completing the course I'm currently scoring ~V33-34. The scholaranium tool is an amazing platform to constantly assess performance with high quality questions and brilliant analytics.I feel the exam battle is half-won by just understanding and identifying one's weak areas and schloranium provides exactly the same after every quiz taken, which helped me improving further. The discussion forum is a great way to add another dimension to perspective of a particular question and kudos to the instructors for promptly answering every query posted. I'm also trying to improve my CR and RC ability levels and confident of scoring a V40+ in the exam.

Consistent efforts combined with the learning tools of e-GMAT can definitely help in achieving high scores.

I am a corporate lawyer and had not even touched quant books for more than a decade. e-GMAT Quant Online and Quant Live helped me refresh fundamental concepts of Quant and understand how to be smart in applying those concepts in two mins, respectively. I have often seen people diving into higher level of maths than required for GMAT and e-GMAT, thankfully, provides one of a kind of opportunity where one can simply focus on what is required from a GMAT aspirant. Their concept of number properties is amazing and I never faced any problem in number properties again. Quant is all about practice and practice and e-GMAT's selection of OG questions are sufficient exercise one needs after completing a particular module. Trust me, I have not even finished entire OG and QR 2nd edition. Am glad I found e-GMAT in this sea of GMAT Prep courses.

the best product for preparation of verbal section in GMAT

If you are looking for a product to work on and improve your skills from scratch or looking to brush your verbal skills, e-GMAT's verbal online is a reliable way to achieve this. It covers everything required for sentence correction, critical reasoning and reading comprehension section. The quality of content is really high. The best part is that e-GMAT teachers respond very fast. I consider their explanation of OG questions far far better than official answers. Verbal Scholaranium is a great offering from e-GMAT that lets one measure their current accuracy and ability scores. I believe this should be used throughout the study period instead of using it towards the end after completing the score.

E-gmat got me over the hump

I started the GMAT by setting my target score which was 700+.
I first studied from the official guide books, which were very useful. In prep tests i was scoring in the range of 600-640 (Q48-49 & V25-30). I could not consistently score V30+. To get a 700+ i had to score V35+ in the real test. I gave it a try in February after knowing that its a long shot in the verbal section but I thought I should try and get the feel of the real exam. I score a horrendous 570 (Q49 V19) yes you read this right, I score V19. I was extremely frustrated with the verbal score. I knew V35 was a long shot but V19!! I took it upon myself to change the situation. I took a week off after my first attempt. During this week i did my due diligence on the best verbal material available online. I decided to go with e-gmat. Knowing my weakness, i dedicated 2/3 of my time to the verbal section and 1/3 to the quant.
The verbal section in e-gmat was the closest thing i have seen to the real test. For example, in the SC, most of the resources have 2:3 splits, even in the very hard questions. However, the real test had a different error in each sentence (except for the correct one of course) and this is where the e-gmat had an edge. Also, the CR questions where more like the real test questions.
I also helped my self by reading articles on a daily basis from (WSJ, Economist or Business Insider) to train myself to read faster while still understanding the whole passage (I don't like reading btw, so if i can do it you definitely can. Just put in the time and effort and you'll get there)

600 to 770 and how egmat helped me

I took the full quant and verbal course however there is no options to select that option. I have 3 important factors to attribute to this score
1. eGmat
i) Quant ::- I was ok with mathematical skills but my major concern was that I did not have the focus to go through the Manhattan guides or the official guide as they did not challenge me. Yet, my scores on the official exams were fairly bad. The structured quant content on the egmat helped me slowly go through the concept and keep track of where I am. Another nice factor about the quant course was that it is made it put you down and make you respect quant that we usually do not. So it is absolutely not easy get good score in assessment tests. The interactive nature of the course helps people with little attention span in keeping the interest alive.

Verbal ::- I needed polishing in verbal, I usually like studying verbal so it was more fun. The SC course is simply amazing , I only used that from my package. and it improved me in leaps and bounces and I could not rave more about it. for CR I had already used manhatten guide and was doing well so I did not finish the course. For RC I did go through the course but was doing ok before hand and I think this is a skill that only comes with practice.

scholaranium :: - This was surely the most amazing part of the package. The quality of questions are amazing , and the analytics would keep you pushing to improve. The quality of workout is so amazing that the real test frankly felt really easy. I initially used to crib about getting poor scores in scholaranium quizzes but it really came in handy during the test.

Gmat CLub Tests :: I got gmat club tests as part of the package from egmat and used them to fine tune my quant performance. I realized that my accuracy dramatically decreases during the last leg of the exam. taking 37 question tests with a difficulty way above the actual exam really helped me in getting rid of my timing issue.

One of the best and efficient courses available online.

This course helps to realize the weak areas and improve them and know why the correct choice is correct and wrong choice is wrong.

e GMAT platform is amazing and helps keep track of my performance and identify the weakness through the Skill data.

The instructors , the course content is amazing , covers all nuances of grammar and helps realize the strength and weakness. The course content focusses on all small things of Grammar explains how we use in daily language incorrect versions of many words.

Wonderful course , great value for money and a must for score above 35 on Verbal.

Best Verbal Course for Non-Natives

In my first attempt in GMAT, my weakest area was Verbal (V27) & more specifically SC.

Before the exam i completed OG 12, 13 & Verbal Review, but my accuracy remained quite low during the practice & never improved. Same thing repeated in the exam & i ended up scoring badly

After the exam i was clueless on how can i improve my score, since i have gone through Manhattan guides thoroughly, practiced from whatever resource i could find.

Through Beat the GMAT, i came to know about E-gmat Verbal Live course & teir pitch was that their course is design esp. for Non-Natives. I decided to enroll myself for the demo SC class which they were hosting, i really liked the demo class & decided to enroll for the course, as i was out of ideas on how to improve my score.

Their approach to break down the sentence in clauses & then look for the parts of sentence was very helpful & easy for me to objectively look at sentences & find the errors in them.

Further, I dont think any other course covers modifier topic in such a detailed extent as course has done. Also in course the practice question are designed along with the topic you study, with this approach the topic gets cemented with you. I liked this very much.

After spending some 35 hours on their SC module, i realized that SC is most logic based topic & can be mastered very easily. Now i feel it to be my strongest topic.

Second, I found the Reading strategies in RC module to be extremely helpful & they improve your comprehension & reading speed simultaneously.

After going through the course, i have done exceedingly well in official mocks & i hope my success in them get translated to actual exam.

I will Highly Recommend this course to Non Natives, as they gain from it immensely.

I took the e-GMAT Verbal Online

My verbal was not so strong, it held my GMAT score back, and after reading about e-GMAT, I decided to purchase the course. Overall, it was satisfying.
The couse was very detailed. A lot of materials are available for practice. Useful tips. Your progress is shown. Online classes are also available. Verbal questions are broken down into specific types. However, the course can be improved if it creates reminder just in case one derails, and it could send student (monthly/bi-weekly) reports for them to know their progress. And if they don't like, they can customize the sending report option.
I haven't retaken the exam yet, so it's hard to say whether I'm improved. I'm not sure whether the questions are similar to the real ones.
