Darden is a great business school. The core curriculum is strong, I had some of the best professors I ever had, you are a strong candidate to pursue any career you want, Charlottesville is one of the best cities in the US, the campus is top notch, and I've made friends for life.
That being said, it is important to mention that the first year is really tough. The core curriculum is demanding and I would often see myself having classes and preparing cases from 8am to 9pm from Sunday to Thursday. This is a school for people who want to be completely immersed in the MBA experience.
Being an international student, and wanted to pursue a career in tech, I was a little afraid that Darden - a school known for general management, investment banking, and consulting - would not be as strong as some of the west coast schools. However, I interviewed for all the major tech companies, landed a summer internship on my first choice, and received a full time offer to work there.
Coming to Darden was definitely the best choice of my life.
