If you're someone who desires an international experience and a highly diverse class, this is the program for you. Bocconi's strength is its highly international composition (only ~30% of my class was Italian), its location (Milan is a great city in the heart of Europe), and its price tag. Like most MBA programs, you will have a lot of fun and learn a lot about yourself and what you want. If you are looking to live and work in Europe, Bocconi is a highly desirable option, assuming you want to put in the work to make it happen. In terms of things to do, Milan has so many things to offer. If you're into fashion and the art scene, you'll find it. If you like outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, climbing), you have the Alps/Appenine mountains as well as great treks around Lake Como/Maggiore. The food and nightlife scenes are fantastic as well. Further, it's cheap to live in Italy relative to other European countries. If you want to explore the country, everything is connected through Milan so you'll have no problem doing so. At the end of the day, I wanted an MBA that would provide me with an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience. You won't be let down by Bocconi as long as you know what to expect.
Most classes are taught by Italian professors, most of whom don't really believe in the socratic method and instead prefer to lecture straight through for an hour and a half. Curriculum is good, especially if you have no experience in Finance/Accounting. Also, Bocconi places a larger focus on exams relative to other MBA programs, so be prepared to study for those.
If you aren't a European (or don't have a European passport) and want to stay/work on the continent, your options will be extremely limited. This is especially the case if you don't want to stay in Italy (if you do, it's a little bit easier and you don't need to worry about sponsorship). Bocconi has a limited network outside of Italy, so you will need to rely on its alumni network to find work. The alumni network is strong and most are extremely helpful, but be prepared to do almost all the work to find something worthwhile.
