The school left a profound impression from the very beginning. It lived up to all my expectations. I would say it is really amazing school.
The career and program teams are really helpful, considerate and go out of their way to help you land your dream job.
I have been studying there almost for a year and blissfully happy with every second of my time spending with my cohort. The students and alumni are really supportive and helpful in every sphere. Alumni support is one of the best facilities that Melbourne Business School offer.
My overall experience with this school is extremely super.

The program is an intensive 1 year program which is fantastic for those not wanting to take a two year break. I went into the program to expand the level of knowledge in various aspects of business to prepare me for more challenging roles Inwas aiming for and it definitely met my expectations. Coming in with a background in finance, I was very pleased with the wide ranging curriculum and surprised by how much I enjoyed certain subjects like marketing and strategy that I had not had previous exposure to. MBS also offers a wide range of electives as well in the second half of the year, that are shared with the part time cohort and provide you with additional opportunities to meet and learn from new people.
The school offers multiple options for you to get involved with things like social/special interest clubs, networking events and mentor programs. Throughout the year you’ll be sure to bond with your cohort of fellow students as you spend so much time together and will learn lots from each other as well. My cohort had a great diversity of people both geographically and of skill set.
I recommend future applicants of any business school consider Melbourne as an option. While it is further away from Europe and North America, I’d say it’s one of the top schools in the region and the culture and experience you’ll have is top notch. Having spoken with multiple MBAs at top US schools, there is little difference in curriculum. Australia is a great country to explore as well and a very large portion of my cohort stayed as they loved it so much.
As is the goal of this site, work on your GMAT for a good score but if you didn’t do as well as you wanted it’s still worth applying. If you have a compelling story of growth or reasons for wanting to pursue the MBA you could find yourself joining the new class soon.

Excellent program services with the best career connections among any business school IF you’re planning to move/stay in Melbourne or Australia in general, and to a lesser extent South East Asia (Melbourne University is highly regarded in the region).
The school does employ a curved grading system, so expect some competition among the class. Overall however, the class is tightly knit with and operates as a team.
The best classes in the program (marketing, brand management, game theory among others) are truly world class.
Main suggestion: spend your time polishing your GMAT. The school (unfortunately) stresses this dimension above any other metric and generous scholarships are available if you meet the bar.
MBS has a fairly well rounded faculty, with particular strength in marketing and strategy, and weakness in OB. Speaking to colleagues from other business school (LBS, INSEAD etc), MBS’ program go into more depth.
With good grades, experience, and case interview practice, MBB and other strategy firms are not out of reach. All of the main firms recruit on campus.
Overall the school is highly focused on consulting but has good success placing its students in good jobs in various industries.

Hi, I am planning to join MBS's Master of Management program. I would like to know your review of the course. Is it worth joining the school for a course that is not MBA?
