After revising your concepts, you need to match to the speed of the GMAT test and also you need a diagnostic in different areas, your weaknesses so that you can plan the path ahead.
I found GMAT club testing platform and its diagnostic and the rating system quite impressive for Quantitative tests. Error Logs after the completion of the tests, if reviewed and chapter concepts accordingly revised, lead to score improvements. Many problems of level 700+ throttle the speed but that is like real GMAT, where there is battle between speed and accuracy. The platform can be equally suitable for assessing your level, review of weaknesses and testing preparedness after strengthening of concepts.
An impressive step towards helping GMAT preparing community.
I have found GMATCLUB tests pretty impressive and useful. The Quant question covers everything. From simple to medium types questions to difficult ones too. Especially the 700 level questions in the test are extremely useful and must for a GMAT aspirant.
Verbal has been my weak part. So I have learned a lot from the verbal questions.
The only issue I have faced is that sometimes I have found the explanations in Verbal question not adequate. And even after posting queries on them, either there has been no satisfactory reply or no reply at all.
But even having said that, the GMATCLUB tests are a must and highly recommended.
I am planning to give GMAT in April this year. So I gave this mock test to see where I stand, what my areas of expertise are and where I need to work hard. I found out that lot of practice is needed in each section to score 700+. I found quantitative questions quite easy; however I made few calculation mistakes. Time plays an essential role in Verbal part. Most of the questions in Verbal section are lengthy and if you miss something in it, then one can go wrong easily. Critical reasoning required a lot of thinking according to me. Some good things about these mock tests are – 1) You can check your scores as well as percentiles, 2)The review interface is quite helpful for switching between the questions as well as understanding where you went wrong. So I am looking forward to more such tests to practice before I sit for my GMAT exam.
When I started my preparation for GMAT, one of my major problems was timing. Although I am quite good at Quant, my OCD to re-check every answer option before submitting the answer made me lose a lot of time during the exam. As a result, I used to end up with 4-5 questions left by the end of the exam. GMAT Club Tests worked wonders for me in helping me time myself and improve my score. Coming to the Verbal tests, they have really helped me understand various question types that would appear on the test and figure out methods to tackle them easily on the exam, within the stipulated time. However, it would be much more helpful if the number of Verbal tests were increased. An addition of another 5-7 tests would be really helpful. Overall, it is an amazing product, which helped me a lot during my preparation for which I'm always indebted to GMAT CLUB. Thank you!
To be fair, I haven't thoroughly used this product. I got it through the EmpowerGMAT deal. With only one month to the exam I didn't have much time to use it. I didn't get the score I wanted and so I'm writing this review to gain two weeks of access.
I did do a few quizzes and I really liked it. The questions are well written, the explanation's are awesome and I really like the fact that software looks like the one of the official GMAT. I think this helps because when I have used other courses to practice their questions work slightly different which can be annoying.
No of verbal exams should be increased and I think, CR part is bit different from pattern of CR in official questions.Quality of CR questions should be improved.
I think that questions in SC are not in line with all questions in SC OG. More no of SC questions comparable to SC OG should be made.I have found that scoring pattern also doesnot match GMAT PREP scoring pattern. More emphasis on exact replication of GMAT PREP should be put.
Quant section can easily make aspirant achieve V48-49 but I never got V-50 despite solving all quant exams.Tricks to achieve V-50 should be included in the solutions of questions so that the aspirant could not easily make such misktakes.
I have been using gmat club tests since past 2 months, and I must stress there are no tests out in the market that come close to gmat club tests in terms of quality of material, especially for quant. I personally feel that gmat club quant tests are better than Manhattan Cat tests quant. For verbal I would say gmat club team still needs to improve the content to come at par with other prep companies. For someone aiming for a Q 50 gmat club tests are a must and more than enough. The kind of flexibility gmat club tests provide in terms of taking tests or quizzes and the large collection of questions help one achieve more fruitful outcome.
The GMAT Club Tests is one of the best. Its pools the questions from various test prep materials and its own. The real beauty is that the answer explanations for the questions, it is not just one explanation but may users given their best short-cut methods to get the answer. That's part i like the most. In additions, the quantitative tests questions are very strong and its provide you with difficulty level of questions where you went wrong in answers.
And the negative part about the tests is the verbal section. some of the questions and answers were not stranded of GMAT test.
Gmat club tests are fine-tuned with actual GMAT experience. It helped me to attune myself to the exam conditions and provided a simulation with the appropriate question for the practice tests.
The level of questions is, in fact, a bit higher than actual GMAT which actually helps on the test date and makes the whole test a comparatively easy affair.
Even if there is a plan of retake then we can get a lot of learning by just reviewing the material an most importantly +4 point increment is guaranteed if the methodology of the review is appropriate.
Must go for it !!
