The test centre is centrally located and easy to find. Plenty of buses ply the route, and there is a nearby train station. Parking is also available, but on the pricey end as it is in town.

Staff were friendly and professional from arrival to departure, with instructions given out clearly.

The temperature in the examination room is just nice, and headphones/earplugs provided upon request. Lockers are provided in the waiting hall, which are big enough to fit a 30L bagpack.

Toilets are 20 steps away from the test centre, and a cold/hot water dispenser is available to test takers whilst taking a break.

Newport News Va Pearson testing Center is inside of a offie building. The Testing Center is conveniently on the first floor of the building and is tucked away in a corner. The staff there when I took the exam was helpful and extremely informative. Obviously there isn't much talking but they were helpful and informative and the environment was not as intimidating with the seasonal decorations they had around instead of a plain grey office test taking center. In terms of the Office building itself, if you do get there early I would advise sitting in their waiting area after you find where the Testing room is. They do have open bathrooms and the codes were conveniently placed on the door of the test taking room.

The Test Centre can be easily located, just off the western express highway, in Solitaire Business Park. The staff at the centre are very helpful and extremely professional.
The test centre was very well kept and very clean.
The instructions were given clearly by the staff.
Overall, this test centre is very good to give the Gmat, in Mumbai.
Planing to retake the GMAT, unfortunately for me, but i shall be opting for this test centre.
A bit of caution, this area being filled with offices, on weekdays the journey to/from the test centre to your respective destinations may get a little stressful with the excessive traffic.
For people opting for the 8am test, i suggest you consider the traffic conditions and plan your journey to the centre.

The Pearson Vue Noida center was well maintained with a highly cooperative staff. The ease of access for the center is also an advantage. The washrooms were clean and tidy. There was a huge rack for placing your coat. The locker was also well maintained. Everything went smooth. The proctors were kind and friendly. They guided with all the necessary instructions. I would highly recommend this test center for anyone appearing for GMAT in Noida location. Also, if not this center then you need to take the test at the Gurgaon center, which is a huge distance to commute plus a bit costly too if you are not travelling via your private vehicle or metro. A must center for all the aspirants from the Noida Location. All the best.

This is the second time I took the GMAT and am very disappointed with the unprofessional set up. The first time I took the test in August 2017 in Mumbai and the experience was above expectation. This difference in experience has strongly affected my performance. It is unacceptable that a candidate's career is in jeopardy because of a test center. I’m currently highly anxious and depressed. I was so shocked at the score that I couldn’t complain straight away.

To begin with, the waiting area at the test center did not have any seating arrangement, instead there was just enough space for 3 people to stand. I reached the test center at 1.30 PM, 30 mins in advance as advised by GMAC, as my test was scheduled at 2PM. Because there wasn’t enough space in the waiting area for all the candidates, we were asked to wait outside in the building’s stairwell, where it was as hot as 96 degrees with no place to sit.

After over 30 minutes of waiting, I inquired at the test center as it was 2PM, time for the test to begin. The officials asked me to continue waiting in the stairwell with no explanations other than “there is some error”. The officials were polite but gave no clear directions. I ended up waiting in the sweltering stairwell. I was hungry but the officials at the test center could not tell me how long it would take, so I couldn’t step out to get some food. Finally, at 3.45 after 2 hours of standing and in the stairwell I was called in to start the registration process. I wanted to use the washroom before the test, however the washroom is not usable as the door can not be closed. By then I was exhausted, uncomfortable and hungry. This is not the mindset in which a candidate should have to give the GMAT.

I would like to point out that while preparing for GMAT, I had carefully scheduled my day to optimize my performance, detailing my sleep and meal timings as well. Scheduling my test at 2PM was a strategic decision having practiced all my mock tests at the same time. Waiting for almost 2 hours threw things off schedule. The poor communication and inadequate infrastructure only added to the anxiety.
I could not believe that a GMAC center could be so inefficient.

I strongly urge GMAC authorities look into this and make sure that candidates like me do not have to suffer. Such highly unprofessional behavior should not pass unnoticed. Further it is extremely unfair that certain candidates face discomforting situations where as others have a smooth experience since such incidences greatly affect the GMAT score.

Few other concerns at the center:
- Noise problem: The testing room should be as quiet as possible, if not absolute. The wall and door should facilitate noise-cancellation. The noise from people walking in and out and chatting with each other outside should not be heard from inside the testing room.
- Noise cancelers: The center did not have noise cancellations (Mumbai center had these). Instead they had earplugs which were not very effective.
- Test taker’s companions were allowed to enter the waiting area and stand around where as there wasn’t enough place for all the candidates. The companions also tend to make noise, in this particular case there was a toddler running in and out of the center.
- GMAT rules: I was not asked to read the GMAT rules, directly asked to sign in and register

Winsoft Computer might just be the worst GMAT testing centre. I had my test in the mid of September 2017 and my experience was highly disappointing. Below are the series of events that took place during the test -

1. While I was on the 5th question from the last of the first section (Quant), the computers in the lab hanged and so did the exam abruptly in the middle while I was taking my test. After restarting the server and the computers when the test administer logged me back into the test, it had already skipped about 3-4 minutes in the process, affecting all the remaining questions in the section. This was the first big calling that I may not be getting the desired score for which I have worked really hard in the last couple of months, and was never expecting this to happen in the first place.

2. After the break- before starting the section 2, which was Verbal, the system of the candidate sitting behind me started to have some issues due to which the administrator and other staff members assembled to resolve the issue, creating a lot of disturbances in the lab. This disturbance kept increasing with their constant discussions, speaking on phone regarding the issue and noises due to repeated entering/leaving the lab, and didn't stop for the whole 75 minutes of my Verbal section. This hugely impacted my attention towards the test. It was so disturbing that I had to go through the questions multiple times just trying to understand in the noise. I had to skip many questions as well due to the loss of time. This was the second calling that things weren’t going as desired, and out of all things there is a bare minimum expectation of how the test-taking environment be which should be standard across the globe.

To everybody taking the test from Chandigarh area, please AVOID this centre!

It was the ideal place to give your paper.

PROs-
1) Since its in a university, no noise pollution. +The university itself was away from the highway
2) Awesome invigilator- He was very polite and understanding.
3) Seats were very comfortable and computers were well maintained.
4) Adjoining washroom
5) Sitting arrangement outside the test center- in-case you reach to the center early.
6) Ample parking space outside the university

Cons-
1) Washroom was not very clean. But it was manageable
2) AC's are directly above your head- so be well packed in your jacket/ at least carry one with you
3) sketch pens were not working properly, but invigilator was nice to give me 2 extra pens

The test center is in weird location and building is difficult to locate if you are visiting that area for the first time.
The Center was good, Instructor was calm in explaining to me everything, he wished me good luck.
I got a corner seat and no one had the same appointment time so I was all alone in the cabin for 3.
AWA, IR and Quant went well. BUT in Verbal I clicked on submit for 16th question and exam hung. Called the instructor, he took good 5 minutes to arrange another PC. Although no time or question was lost, but that pushed me in panic mode which was hard to recover from.
Despite this, I will be retaking gmat in the same center.

I post this review for my fellow aspirants, living in Tamilnadu, India, to choose the right test centre. In Tamilnadu, there are two centres

VIT College, Vellore
PearsonVue, Chennai

PearsonVue, one of the professional centres, takes ardent effort to provide the better exam experience. But all the centres don't afford this luxury. I have one of my worst experiences during October 2016.

I have chosen Vellore, VIT as my test centre. In the first place, it was very hard to find the exact location in the college. Barely, none knows the centre in the college. Once the examiner came, I was given the ear plug and scratch pad. The scratch pad was so dirty. There was some construction work going on and the room was not sound proof. So ear plug and scratch pad were literally of no use to me. Consider all these nuances, my scores got completely.

I just visited Chennai centre to double check my doubts. All my grievances were addressed properly. It is one of the best centres, I have encountered. Everything is very professional.

So please check the centre once and then schedule the exam

The test center was easy to locate. But, while starting your journey, make note of road traffic in your mind. Having said that, it would be better to reach the test center at least 30-45 minutes in advance. It was having a nice atmosphere. The security checks were okay too. I was escorted to the main room by the center's administrator very nicely. He explained to me all the rules and regulations very politely. I was allotted a locker to put all my belongings. At the extreme, he forced me to kept my handkerchief too in the locker. But anyways, he wished me luck for my exam.
