This (very) user-friendly service was an excellent way to quickly and efficiently review both Quant and Verbal topics I had trouble with. I felt increasingly comfortable with my deficiencies as time inched closer to test date (11/18/13), and I achieved a 50-point improvement, breaking the 700 barrier with a 720. I'm very proud to recommend this service!
In addition to Magoosh, I utilized practice tests by Veritas and 800Score, all of which contributed to my success. Additionally, their customer service is top-notch - they always got back with me quickly to resolve any issues I had, which were few. The videos and especially the explanations were extraordinarily helpful - you're able to correct yourself quickly and access similar questions to really hammer away at any problems you're having.
Well, I heard about Magoosh from my friend and I tried the trial pack for a week and found it to be really good.
I went on to purchase the premium package and the videos in that were fantastic. It helped me understand a lot of topis in a better way,the critical reasoning part was fabulous.I'm planning to give the Gmat a crack by the end of december 2013 and it hope I come up with a good score. I've been doing the practice tests under the Beta feature in Magoosh and it gives us the experience of taking an actual Gmat test sans the IR and AWA.
Magoosh really helped me to get a grip on long lost concepts. The video lessons are quite helpful and refresh most of the concepts in an easy manner. The practice question section with its well-developed filtering options is quite outstanding. Magoosh = Value for money.
To enhance the product even more, some of the video lessons could be re-recorded due to their sometimes poor audio quality. But since there are only a few of them it is not a problem.
In the near future - so I have been told - users will be able to make some kind of full practice tests (mock test) and receive a GMAT like score result.
I got myself the premium package and I was surprised how very well instructed the lessons were. Of course, some lessons were too easy for me, because I still remember all those basic things, but it was very useful to remember everything from the start. As for a non-native speaker, it takes more time for me to process each question, and I still have some difficulties in Math, this part is more problematic for me. As long as I am watching these classes, I am starting to get used to the process and calculation techniques. Magoosh taught me very helpful tricks for faster calculations in math and sentence correction in verbal sections.
I will definitely recommend Magoosh to my friends.
I bought the course about 6 months before my actual GMAT test date, thinking that I'd casually go through the lessons and do the numerous practice questions, all by the time the test came around.
The lessons turned out to be really engaging and accessible, and made studying for the test that much more enjoyable. The quant section in particular really helped, and builds the key concepts from the ground up. The SC section is great also-very thorough.
Magoosh can teach a lot of other websites on how to build an engaging portal- the whole thing is extremely user friendly and intuitive. It's so simple to see where you need more work based on the questions you've completed, and there are enough of them to keep you going for months, alongside the OG and other free resources. (I didn't manage to finish either verbal or quant sections).
I ended up with a 710, up from 600 or so on a GMAT prep practice exam taken the day before I bought Magoosh. Very happy!
After doing poorly on the GMAT, I decided to look for something better than just reading GMAT study guides and review books by all the big names in the field. I needed something more to build upon my ancient math skills, and poor understanding of all of the rules of English even though I am a native speaker. My last standardized test was 20 years ago when I took the SAT, so needless to say my skills were rusty.
Magoosh provides an excellent framework for getting up to speed quickly. The quant section is fantastic for providing you with the basic and advanced skills needed to tackle most question types that I saw on the GMAT. The verbal lessons were great too. I needed extra help with sentence correction and, because of Magoosh, my verbal score went up 9 points. If you are like me and need to relearn the basics, Magoosh is an excellent value. I was able to complete all of the lessons and over 900 questions in just about 2 months. Each lesson is video based and each question has a video explanation. This is an ideal solution for those who really need to work at the GMAT from the ground up.
I have been preparing for GMAT for a couple of months already now. I started my preparation with MGMAT strategy guides.
However there was something missing and I signed up for Magoosh. So far it has been an amazing refresher. The videos are amazing and the UI is neat.
The practice questions are top notch. I would recommend everyone try Magoosh and then decide whether it is fit for them.
My only advice for Magoosh is to include more practice questions and explanations. There are ton of nice questions in GMAT Club, which must be discussed by Magoosh.
Just started studying, but it has everything I need in one convenient place. They give you hundreds of sample problems and video explanations of how to solve each one. They are very thorough explanations and if you need further review they have related lessons attached so you can quickly review the concepts that you may have forgotten or not know.
I travel a lot for work so this is great for me because I don't need to carry around a review book and can log in and do a few problems whenever I have some downtime in my hotel room.
Magoosh touches all sections neatly with their tailored lessons. Their adaptive practice tests are very useful in building confidence. Their explanation at the end of each question helps determine your weaknesses and strengths.
Magoosh has a tailored 6-week program that helps get to the target. I have yet to take the GMAT test, but my confidence is booming every day with the Magoosh practice tests and lessons.
Magoosh keep your motivation alive with a mixed set of exercises. Apart from Magoosh one needs to follow the OG religiously and GMAT Club questions. With these three I am sure to reach a very good score.
I got to know Magoosh GMAT through my friend who was using the program and improved his GMAT from 590 to 680. During my study time, I realized that my study plans have changed and developed a lot. I no longer have to look for theory from different sources, everything is in Magoosh tutorial videos. With quant or verbal questions, all the explanations are very easy to understand and apply. I also followed the 1 month study plan in Magoosh which helps me not only to manage my schedule, but also to balance my study and my work.
I think I'm much more confident to take the GMAT this time.
