Julie-Anne is amazing - helped me secure 2 of my target schools

Nationality: India
GMAT: 750 Q50 V42
Admits: Wharton, MIT Sloan

I onboarded Julie-Anne for my application process after speaking to multiple consultants because I really liked her approach from the off. During our 30-minute free consultation, she understood my profile, background and motivations deeply. She even sent a detailed summary of our discussion along with her preliminary thoughts right after. This really impressed me and stood out for me vs. other consultants.

Throughout the application process, Julie-Anne was always there for me, as a consultant and a mentor. She was thoughtful, creative and a calming presence. On multiple occasions, she went out of her way to help me - such as responding back within less than the prescribed time when I was under pressure. There were times when I was less responsive than I should have been but Julie-Anne ensured I was always on my heels - which was a major reason why I was able to meet all my deadlines. Julie-Anne's main focus was always ensuring that I put my best foot forward and she ensured that was the case, even if it meant not sticking to the prescribed SLAs at times. For example, if she felt my performance in behavioral interviews was not up to scratch, she kept doing mock interviews till I was able to perform to my best capability.

In addition, I felt MBAMission's resources were very strong - covering a gamut of information, from brainstorming about your story, to choosing and contacting your recommenders, to getting off the waitlist. I have seen resources from other admissions consultants and I strongly consider MBAMission to be the best of the lot.

In summary, I am very grateful to Julie-Anne for her help and support, and strongly attribute my success in the application process to her.

Cat Ho is EXCEPTIONAL!

Product mbaMission School Package

Consultant Cat Ho

Cat was an exceptional guide through every stage of the MBA application process. I didn’t begin preparing my applications until relatively late in Round 1, but Cat jumped right in, making sure I dug deep into my work and life experiences to ensure that my essays clearly conveyed the talents and traits I wanted to showcase with each admissions committee. She provided invaluable advice on what would help me stand out from other candidates and which portions of the application I should use to convey my qualifications. Cat was always responsive and provided candid and constructive feedback that helped me improve my application. Without Cat, my applications would not have been as focused and effective, and I suspect that I would not have been as relaxed during my interviews. I highly recommend Cat for her critical eye, sense of narrative, and ability to help you develop a compelling, well-rounded application. I was fortunate to be accepted to my top 3 MBA programs, and I credit Cat’s sound advice and guidance for helping me achieve that goal.

Had great experience with Nisha.

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by membership [?]

As a re-applicant and coming from an overrepresented pool, I was very skeptical of the admissions process. However, Nisha guided me through it and helped me develop a deeper understanding of the whole ‘holistic process’.

She had some great insights, especially during the school selection stage and helped me better understand my fit within my target schools. In the middle of the process, I retook the GMAT, and Nisha helped me leverage it very well.
I really liked the interview prep and case questions preparation, along with her detailed feedback.
I was admitted into my target school with a good scholarship due to her guidance. Highly recommend her.

Kate is awesome - Highly recommended!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with Kate and a very satisfactory outcome. Kate worked very hard to ensure the success of my applications and I found my entire application process very engaging and stimulating (in a good way!).

Kate was referred to me by a close friend who worked with her two years ago. My first impression was reassuring - Kate appeared knowledgeable, chill, and most importantly, not as aggressively/unrealistically optimistic as some other consultants I had spoken with.

I decided to go with her for the two-school package in Round 2. That was a decision that I am very glad about.

There are three areas where I personally found most helpful from Kate. First, I was working full-time in a demanding job and taking care of a toddler at home - so Kate's game plan for my application journey at the beginning of the engagement was super helpful. We would schedule turnarounds way ahead of time and I would work hard to meet all of our internal deadlines. By the end, I did not feel rushed and I felt that I had enough time to review everything multiple times. Second, the initial brainstorming session/documentation was very helpful. I indeed spent a lot of time creating that document (spent more than 10 hours), but it turned out to be the most helpful document - from finding topics for the essays to preparing stories for the interviews. Finally, Kate is very good at materializing my one-off ideas - there were a few instances when had some random ideas that I would like to include in my applications but could not find a good place to do so. Kate was always able to propose a few alternatives and one of them would fit well with the rest of my materials.

As said in the title, I will recommend Kate to anyone who is interested in applying.

Nisha is AMAZING

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

While I was initially hesitant to hire a consultant, I can say that it was completely well worth the cost to work with mbaMission and, most importantly, with Nisha!

I signed up for free consultations with mbaMission and Stacy Blackman Consulting to hopefully gain some additional insight. Admittedly, I wasn’t the most organized when going into these consultations, but I had trouble connecting with the consultant from SBC and frankly found her to be condescending and rude. I wasn’t sure if I was asking her “dumb” questions, but she certainly made me feel that way.

In late August, I had my mbaMission consultation with Nisha, and, while I was equally as disorganized as I was with SBC, my experience with Nisha was completely different. I asked her the same “dumb” questions, but she was patient and left me feeling reassured. I told her that I was unsure that I wanted to move forward with purchasing a package, and she was completely understanding. She never pressured me and followed up our call with helpful resources. Over the next couple of months following the consultation, I tried to rely on free resources but quickly became overwhelmed with all of the different (and sometimes contradictory) advice floating around and needed to have feedback and advice that would be tailored to me.

In early November, I finally signed up for the Complete Start-to-Finish package for two schools with Nisha, and it was an amazing decision! I was worried about only having two months to work on my applications and essays, but I ended up completing everything before the deadline.

During the entire process, Nisha was warm, encouraging, responsive, and wise--Everything that you need from someone helping you with this important journey. I had a MILLION questions, sometimes about the tiniest things, and she was continuously patient and gave great advice. Most importantly, she helped me zero in on my career goal, as I wasn’t 100% sure before starting this process.

She provided invaluable guidance and input on the applications and essays but did so in a way where the essays still sounded like me and were authentic to who I am. After I received an interview invitation, I received that same counsel for the next step of the process. In all, Nisha helped me feel more confident not only about my profile but also about myself.

Now that I’ve completed the process, I can happily say that I’ve been accepted to my dream school and am confident that I wouldn’t have been able to get here without Nisha.

Working with Jen is 100% worth the investment!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I was beyond satisfied with the experience I had working with Jen - she was instrumental in elevating and helping me create a standout application. I decided to work with Jen as I was applying solely to international MBA programs, and she has extensive background working with schools abroad and personal experience from her studies at Judge. In addition to being a wealth of knowledge about the admissions process and what schools are looking for, Jen is incredibly thoughtful and supportive. She took the time to get to know me and my motivations for applying for an MBA, recommended potential schools to look into and was available and willing to answer all of my questions throughout the process. She successfully helped me craft a compelling story across my essays and CV, providing meaningful feedback across these aspects as well as during the interview prep phase. As a result, I’ll be attending a top 10 global school in January 2022. My acceptance would not have happened without Jen’s thoughtfulness and creativity - I highly recommend working with her.

Patient, Persistent Essay Help

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I am honestly terrible at essay writing, so deeply needed someone patient enough to work with me through a seemingly endless string of rewrites. I also work in finance so was looking for someone that 1) could walk in with a good understanding of my experience and 2) would help push me when I was falling behind on essay timelines given how busy work can get.

Julie-Anne was a great match for me because I found that she was able to help me repackage my experiences in ways that popped on the page, which given how bad I am at essay writing, required a lot of time and iteration. Julie-Anne was patient throughout letting me drive the process (ex. if I wanted to do a 4th re-write) while still providing her thoughts and recommendations, pushing back on my ideas when warranted. More broadly, I found Julie-Anne warm and someone I enjoyed working with.

Rachel is Fabulous

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Rachel helped me with my application to the Stanford GSB and she is an absolute GEM. Over the course of a few weeks she was able to guide and steer me in the right direction and her understanding of the entire application process is unparalleled relative to others in the market. She is approachable, kind, insightful, thoughtful and deft. She is super responsive, honest, hard-working and her work is like alchemy. Had it not been for her I would have never gotten into my dream school. You need her on your team helping you through this tough process because she is so passionate and because she is an absolute pleasure to work with. Truly first class and wonderful.

Pick Susan

Susan helped me hone in on four schools that specifically catered to my goals of learning advanced financial modeling, private equity fundamentals, and entrepreneurship. She was always completely professional, timely, direct, insightful, friendly and understanding. She pushed me to write effective essays by staying succinct and answering the questions that were being asked. Her process taught me a great deal about myself and helped me to solidify my professional goals. Because of Susan, every bit of my time, effort, and money was well spent with mbaMission - and I even got into my top choice! I have already recommended (and will continue to recommend) her services to anyone who tells me they are applying to MBA schools.

Definitely Recommend mbaMission

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

After my brother used ad-hoc services with Michael at mbaMission for his MBA admission process last year (now at SOM), I am grateful that he recommended that he suggested this resource. mbaMission, and Michael's one-on-one support, were incredibly instrumental and crucial to helping me survive the app process happy and excited to go to Kellogg. Overall, most helpful was guidance on how to position yourself across applications to be most marketable to admissions. He helped elevate all the different aspects of my application (different essays, interviews, resume) to ensure I was using every possible opportunity to make my case. Additionally, super glad I also did the Wharton interview prep, because it made me much more comfortable going into the real thing.
