So I gave the GMAT in January 2017 and scored 640(Q-48, V-28). It wasn't good but wasn't bad considering I gave the exam only after a month's preparation. However I was getting more in Verbal during my preps, I guess I goofed up the starting questions.

I had read about e-GMAT on various forums and since I had to work on my verbal skills, I decided to give it a shot.

I purchased their Verbal Live Prep program (although I did not attend the live online sessions as I did not really felt a need for them). Here are the features I really liked about their program:

-The program has been made very interesting by using interactive and colourful videos. The videos start from the basic concepts and lead to the level which is needed for the exam. I actually used to make handwritten notes which would help me revise. Though, the videos also contain summary slides which you can view to revise the main points of the topic.

-You get post-assessment quiz after every lesson so you can make sure you have grasped the topic well.

-Apart from these quizzes, you get a lot of practice questions to test your level of improvement. You can very well keep a track of your performance.

-Coming on to the individual sections:
1)RC: I had earlier been advised to just read first and last lines of the passage and start answering the questions straight away. But this way I could not mark the correct answers as I could not understand the passage well and I also had to go back and forth between the options and passage several times. This caused me to perform poorly in RC. But with e-GMAT's approach, I would read the passage once, make note of main points and important words and then go about my questions. This lead to a significant increase in my RC accuracy. And with practice, I learned to do it in time.

2)CR: e-GMAT's approach of pre-thinking is amazing. I can't emphasize enough the importance of taking just a few seconds to think of the answer before approaching the options. It increased my accuracy and reduced the time I took to solve them.

3)SC: e-GMAT's approach of first understanding the meaning of the sentence, instead of jumping on to the options right away, is a freakin' goldmine. The answers come so naturally after understanding the meaning.

I am all set to give my GMAT again. My Verbal score in test preps has gone up to V41. All thanks to e-GMAT for their amazing course. Will share the result.

Thank you for reading until the end.
All the best to you all!!

It is one of the best preparation platforms I have come across. Though I have not completed it fully, I can say that my full e-gmat verbal live course has been a boon to my preparation. I understand sc, cr and rc better. Scholaranium has been great. it has very good questions and it increases knowledge just where you need. it bridges the gap in your preparation.

I was struggling with CR and RC, now I am a lot more confident. I am more confident of my verbal skills now after the VLP course.

the analysis, curriculum, course, questions are the best available.
Anyone who wishes to score better should consider e-gmat withput a second thpught. The self learning platform gives you the best opportunity to learn and practice more.
I am hoping to score well in verbal with it's help! I wish egmat team all the luck and thank them for this wonderful tool.

EGMAT was the only prep tool I used for my preparation. Flexibility that I got from the EGMAT course helped me learn at my own pace. Approach presented in strategy sessions helped me in maximizing my strengths while improving on my weaknesses. E-GMAT's approach of pre-thinking for CR and meaning based approached for Sentence correction helped me improve my Verbal from V25 when I started to V35 on my actual GMAT. Though I made more mistakes than I would like in RC which reflected in my Verbal score, E-GMAT RC webinar was the reason I purchased the course. EGMAT ability tests and scholaranium helped me understand my weaknesses in Quant and address them. Live-prep sessions help you with specific issues which you can work with instructors who are really helpful.

I wrote my first GMAT in Nov 2014. Typically confident of doing the preparation myself, i choose to climb the mountain called GMAT in my own terms. And then i was stuck on a plateau. Q50 and V18 - 570 on GMAT. I was frustrated and sad as the question "who can help me when i can't help myself?" went unanswered. And then i decided to go through reviews and try out Sample live courses. E-Gmat was one of these and the only one i ended up checking: I have found what i wanted.
I took the live course as it can help me with clarifying all my doubts spot on.

The Pedagogy:
The material and recorded lessons are tailored for the non natives and exactly serves those problems that we face.

In SC, the part i was particularly poor at, the course focuses on the areas that we normally make mistakes in: those grammatical mistakes that have become 2nd nature to us. It explains this in a way that does not need us becoming an english literature student.
RC and CR chapters did help me a lot in tackling different type of questions. Pre-thinking in CR did really help me to improve my score without much effort. My RC accuracy also shot up with a minimal effort.

I took the exam again in 2017 Jan with only 20 days of preparation and increased my score from 570 (Q50, V18) to 630 (Q49,V27).

Customer support : It is quite responsive and co-operative. I wanted to attend classes i missed and support was given almost immediately in re-taking those. Must say they understand our problems quite well and have addressed them in their operations.

Verdict : If you are a non native and want to improve your tallies in less time and effort, look no where else. Do well and best wishes for your exam.

How I enhanced my Verbal score from V27 to V38 (V40 updated) !

First time I had to face GMAT was in December 2016. Because of the illness I was left with only 2 weeks for practicing before the exam day. I was always good at Math, but the Verbal part seemed too challenging for me to handle. Nevertheless, I pushed myself to the limit during those 2 weeks and at the day of the exam saw a moderate score on the screen – 640 (Q49, V27). I applied to some MBA programs, but the ones I chose were too good to grant a place to a guy with such a score.
After this failure, I realized that if I want to score 700+, I need to improve my Verbal skills. I surfed the Internet and found out that a bunch of test-takers recommended that e-GMAT program be taken in order to hone one’s abilities to solve verbal questions, especially SC problems. So I enrolled.
I took the Verbal Live Prep course. I was provided with a list of materials that I needed to learn each day and instructed when and how to participate in online classes, which, by the way, are free of charge.
Firstly, I started the SC course, which helped me to brush up my knowledge of English grammar as well as to learn new things that are crucial for mastering SC questions. Most of all I liked the way in which the course is organized: first the concept of each theme is thoroughly explained with the use of video materials, than subject related tests are provided. Also, respective OG questions and answers are provided. The way in which e-GMAT team provides knowledge helped me increase the accuracy of solving SC questions up to 84 % from 50 % in about 3 weeks.
After finishing the SC course I started to practice the Critical Reasoning (CR). I easily handled this course with the help of both e-GMAT video lessons and Manhattan Prep’s study book. The only thing that I can say is that both materials helped me a lot by providing slightly different techniques of problem solving. I just want to mention that e-GMAT also has Q&A, which was very useful in many cases. When I finished the CR course the number of wrong answers decreased to about 13-15 %.
My last section was Reading Comprehension (RC). The best thing I liked in it is that e-GMAT team really tried its best to make RC questions the easiest ones to solve. Before the course I did not like RC part, as I thought of it as the toughest one. However, with the help of e-GMAT lessons now I know how to answer different types of RC questions without wasting time. Moreover, the course provides tips that help to stay interested and focused whether or not a test taker likes the topic.
A week ago I took my first mock test in GMAT PREP app and guess my happiness when I saw the result of all this learning – a 720 score. My Quant score was 50, and the Verbal one was 38 ! I plan to take another exam at the end of August and this time I aim at 740. Thanks to e-GMAT, the score that once seemed unreachable is closer than ever before !

UPDATE
3 weeks after I wrote this review I took my GMAT exam. My score was exactly 740 (Q50, V40) !

I am still in the process of preparing for GMAT. I can say this with a lot of confidence that eGMAT's Verbal course is definitely one of the most exhaustive course available currently. All the required concepts are explained in a simple way. The best thing about the course is that the teaching method is very scientific. Watching videos are fun. Step-by-step process mentioned in the course will definitely help not only in building strong concepts but also in getting a higher score in Verbal.

There is absolutely no comparison to Scholaranium. It makes assessing your weakness crystal clear. I will highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve Verbal performance.
Will definitely share my performance once I am done with my GMAT.

Egmat Quant Live Prep course is very comprehensive and detailed. The methodical approach to tackle the questions and the suggestions and tips by experts makes learning interesting & fun. The concept videos help understand the basics well which is vital and help us get a strong foundation. Before joining the course, I was using formulas to arrive at the answers in most easy & medium questions. However, the solid foundation of basic concepts and derivations helped me crack many hard questions with ease and also get more confident in solving data sufficiency questions. There are quizzes which test our application of the concepts studied in each topic which help us hone our skills. The approach for solving Word Problems especially mixtures and tree structure problems helped me a lot and drastically reduced my time taken for such questions, I could answer even the hardest questions in very less time with much confidence. Advanced topics such as probability, permutations & combinations were very tough for me, but after going through concept videos for these topics I could gain much confidence in those problems. In Live sessions expert instructors discuss some Hard & Tricky questions and the approach to solve those with ease. Scholaranium is very helpful in assessing our ability in each section and helps us identify, focus & improve our performance in the areas we are weak.

I could see 3-point improvement (Q42 to Q45) in my mocks only with preparation of few topics (From advanced topics and word problems) from egmat course. Hoping to see more improvement & a better score in my actual GMAT.

Overall, Quant Live Prep is a complete package for GMAT Quant and absolute value for money!!

Hi !
I have taken my GMAT exam 2nd time with increase of 10 points in Verbal score. The credit for this increase in verbal score is only to eGMAT verbal course. This course is boom for non-native candidates because in this course you able to start by clearing your fundamentals then build up by learning advanced level English usage through modules wise approach.
This verbal course is different from others because it goes in details to explain logic behind the usage of grammar rather than simply lecturing grammar usage that most of the courses do. The choice of Qs in this course both for explanation & practice purpose is excellent and sufficient to improve your skills level.
Further, the faculty of live prep course is the best in GMAT world because they go upto the last detail to remove any of the doubt one to one with candidate during session so actually you feel like sitting physically in class by interacting one to one with teacher.
I also got benefitted with Quant course as after practicing with quant Qs and then going through explanation every formulae and method was learnt by heart.
I strongly recommend eGMAT course especially verbal to all candidates preparing for GMAT exam.

Thanks to Egmat for superb support

One stop solution to the GMAT puzzle

I gave my gmat exam back in September 2016 and got a dismal score. I say this with utmost honesty, the moment I saw my verbal score (V27), I was ashamed. All my convent education and good communication skills came short of the mark. This incident hit me hard. I decided to prepare again but due to personal problems I had to take a break of 6-7 months before resuming my prep.
It was then that I got introduced to e-gmat. I started with the Online prep but something was missing. The missing link was the power that the Verbal Live Prep gives you. In a few days I understood that my entire approach towards the process was wrong. Verbal Live prep structured my prep in a way that I started understanding the questions better. For example, when I was introduced to Pre-thinking, I had a hard time understanding the logic and the time it takes seemed far fetched. Today when I am a few weeks away from the D day, I know how powerful a tool is Pre-thinking. Similar was the case with RC. Earlier I used to underline the RC passage in my OG, read it thoroughly, go back to the passage when I answered questions. We all know doing that on a gmat exam is not smart. Post the RC prep course, I saw a huge improvement in my understanding. Today I take 6 mins to solve a long RC passage with an accuracy of 90 %.

I see egmat as the one stop soln to the gmat puzzle.

I was very depressed when I saw my GMAT score in my first attempt for which I had prepared very hard. I got 530 with a verbal score 21. Then, I decided not to give up and realized that I should draw more attention on my verbal skills. I looked through all the GMAT courses at gmatclub.com and hypothesized that e-gmat would be optimal choice. The reason was quite simple; ranking, number of reviews and price, altogether, motivated me to taste its free online sessions and watch free verbal video lessons to evaluate potential of e-gmat verbal courses. It was so surprising for me to gain so many useful tips and knowledge from free trial and one little free live session of the e-gmat verbal live prep. So, I purchased the whole verbal prep course, verbal online and verbal live course, right away, and this was one of the decisions that I will never regret in my life.
As soon as I started the course, I acknowledged that before I was not in a right direction in my preparations for the exam. E-gmat verbal prep course has enabled me to enhance my learning experience and made the verbal part of GMAT with which I had been so uncomfortable, easily reachable. Moreover, because the instructors are so proficient in their job, it was very easy to grasp what they are trying to deliver. Verbal live prep became the course in which I learned a lot more than just watching videos and applying the theory on my own. It was invaluable when instructors navigate me through right path, explaining all the invisible pitfalls arisen along the way. Additionally, there is great opportunity to get instant vital answers for the questions worrying me mostly. I felt myself quite confident and empowered after each live prep session and highly inspired to attend next one. In addition, e-gmat has provided me with extremely important tools and key strategies that I had considered insignificant before. For instance, following 3 step method and the perseverance on understanding the meaning on SC questions have led me to tackle toughest SC questions in a high time manner. Pre-thinking each assumption, strengthen, weaken and evaluate questions has become the best tool in solving all CR questions. Furthermore, e-gmat verbal live course has showed me how to identify the correct answer with 70% probability without even looking at options through its valuable strategies. Also, the application tests after every session as well as scholoranium tests have helped me to keep track of where I am and of what should be strengthened.
Thus, I am very grateful for this course since it allowed me to be confident at any GMAT verbal question no matter how tough it is. Thanks to this course after a two-month preparation my verbal score on GMATprep mock exam has increased to 36 from 21. Therefore, I would highly recommend this course for those who seek for greater improvement in their verbal skills. This course provides you with the core elements in a very efficient and strategically right way.
