I bought eGMAT's SC online prep. It helped me build a consistent process for working with SC questions. It helped me increase my confidence with my answer selections and as I progressed I was able to make my choices quicker. This then gave me more time for RC and CR. eGMAT's SC course is very structured and since I primarily learn by listening, this was exactly the thing I needed.

I then bought their Verbal Live Prep. Apart from helping with the CR and RC, one of the main take-aways was that they helped me understand the reasons for guessing and moving on during one of the live sessions. I didn't do justice to the course because I was going through some real long work days. But, they were kind enough to help me with an extension when I needed it for my last month of prep. I appreciate the passion with which the e-GMAT family supports the students to be successful with their time, and course material.

I start from the day i started my preparation in 2012 and gave GMAT after going through OG and some more concepts on Quant. I gave the Exam after studying for almost two months along with my demanding Job with only Sunday as a holiday. I got 630. Verbal was a disaster there. Though i was ok with Quant score but needed more improvement on it. Though quant comes automatically, focus was to improve on both Verbal and Quant. Got busy with the job and could not pursue the prep again, but started preparing all over again in Sept 2015.
When i started preparing again, read about E-Gmat course on Google. After going through several other books i was not satisfied with the method which i should use. But seeing the free online videos of E-Gmat, available for Sentence correction and Critical reasoning, i was very much impressed. I started to use the learned concepts in the OG questions and the result was a big difference. I soon opted for Verbal Live prep.
The step by step division of the course content is the best part of the E-gmat Course. It is by far the most structured course i have come across. Also the new addition of the Articles, written by various instructors adds wonders to the concept. The practice after each module boosts the morale and the confidence in the particular topic. For me verbal workshop conducted by shraddha was of great help. She clearly explained the way we can focus more to complete 8 questions right rather than all 10. Rajat also explained this in a very nice way in strategy sessions. It was an awesome help tip.
The three step process of Sentence Correction improved my Sentence correction accuracy to more than 90 %. CR for me was good, but pre-thinking process made it more structured and it increased the confidence that i am marking the right choice by knowing the way to eliminate the choices. How to eliminate the choices is one of the key features that helped me a lot in marking the right answer.
Summarizing each paragraph in reading comprehension was the best strategy i liked and in one verbal lecture Neeti taught that the paragraphs are progressive, so no need to stop if some things are not clear. It will be understood later. That one was the next big help.
This course not only taught the way to conquer GMAT but also helped me in writing good English.
Though i thought i was good in quant, but something was lagging. I was not able to apply the concept within two minutes. So i enrolled for Quant course too. That was i must say the best step i took. The concepts are very much structured and filled the places where i was lagging.

The Scholaranium for both Quant and verbal is of great help, after one is done with OG and the Course content, because once the prep is over, we are short of more practice questions. The questions are almost of the same pattern as are asked in real GMAT, so it is of great practice. Also the whole data is available to revise and see the mistakes again and gain. How other people have attempted the Scholaranium also helps in identifying the areas which can be improved.
I would say that there is nothing without Practice and Scholaranium provided enough questions. There is no need of thinking where to get more practice questions after you are done with OG and the course material. The questions provided here are more than sufficient for practice.
I finally scored 700 (Q 50, V34). Verbal i could have improved more but i was stuck on one RC in the Real GMAT and was not able to understand a single line of it. That was the last RC and i was already exhausted.)
I would recommend a must go course if anyone want to improve for both verbal and Quant. A course that will teach good English without actually teaching the grammar jargons such as gerund, prepositions, conjunctions etc.

Thank you ( Rajat and team).

Before to enroll on e-GMAT course I tried taking courses offered by universities and studying by myself and I just felt that I was wasting my time and money. The e-GMAT Quant Live Prep course has been helping me to gain confidence, now I’m feeling myself more confident. This course helped me to re-learn some math skills that I had forgotten. I’m going to keep you posting about my score once I take the course next March.

The teachers are really good and the way the course is conducted is must, they are well organized and are focuses on your success.

Hi everybody,

I am one of the students of e-gmat course enrolled to the verbal live prep program. As is the case generally with all Indian student, I had difficulties in coping up with e-gmat verbal section.

If you really want to score V35+, one thing that you should definitely look at is to enroll to e-gmat SC course. It gives you the confidence by making sure you understand all sections - (SV Agreement, Pronouns, Modifiers, Parallelism, Comparisons, Idioms, Meaning based questions).

Trust me the toughest question types in the SC are from the parallelism and comparisons. These are made absolutely a cake walk by the e-gmat course. Even the meaning based questions are dealt in depth which makes the section a breeze to crack.

You should definitely try the e-gmat SC course. Get the confidence in the overall verbal section and then upgrade. Atleast that is what i did. Follow the study plan diligently and you can answer almost any SC question.

For SC - Understand everything from e-gmat SC course + solve OG questions + solve GMAT prep questions (Buy, if you dont have them) + solve scholaranium.

Download the GMAT prep questions available on GMAT club for past SC questions. search "GMAT prep questions gmatclub" on Google.

Moving on CR section took a bit of time for me to get complete understanding on. A combination of the CR-Bible and e-gmat course for CR would be ideal in my opinion.

You should definitely only and only solve the OG questions for this module. Solving questions from any other module will confuse you a lot. The quality of the official questions cannot be replicated at all. So stick to official questions. Download the GMAT prep questions available on GMAT club for past CR questions.

When understanding each sub-topic in this section, make sure you absolutely understand Assumptions. If you are able to crack assumption questions, you will be able to solve almost any question. Go in the following direction:

Assumptions -> Strengthen -> Weaken -> Inference -> Evaluate -> Paradox -> Bold face.

e-gmat course asks you to follow an approach called "Prethinking". It worked for me some times and did not work sometime. So choose what is right for you. As i mentioned, a combination of e-gmat CR + power score bible is ideal to crack this section.

Now the RC section:

The most ignored section by everybody. This is the section which will make or break your verbal score eventually. Follow the e-gmat RC course diligently. It has explained the different categories of section in depth with sample questions from that question type.

Make sure you understand the explanation given for the answers to the questions in the RC passage. Your mind will get tuned to find out the way to solve RC questions. Again phenomenal in content coverage.

Sometimes, i felt summarizing every paragraph and then getting to a single line summary of the entire RC passage was difficult to follow during the exam. But nevertheless the approach definitely help to a large extent.

My suggestions finally:

e-gmat course is very flexible. enroll for the course as you get the belief that it is helping you improve in answering the question.

e-gmat course has an absolutely easy upgrade process and will always be ready to help you for any doubts.

All the best everybody!

I've been trying for some months to find a strategy to prepare for GMAT verbal. My first attempt was to follow the explanations on the official guide, but I wasn't able to define a clear approach to verbal questions.

After reviewing all the online possibilities, I finally decided to go for eGMAT. The materials and the examples of the course are of high quality, and the live classes on the weekends are really useful to better understand concepts and clarify doubts.

If you have troubles on the verbal part and if you are a non native speaker, I recommend to take up the eGMAT Verbal course, you won't be disappointed.

Prior starting GMAT preparation, I had a chance to join e-gmat free strategy workshop, which Rajat shared his opinions on how GMAT aspirants should prepare for exam. The session was really useful to me. Later, I decided to enrol for e-gmat verbal live prep.
Once I started verbal preparation, I've found that e-gmat strategy taught for SC and CR is very effective. Initially, it was bit hard to follow but over the time I made a routine to follow the instruction and it became easy. The live session is very useful place to learn from other attendees. It helps you learn, practice questions, and gives you opportunities to practice concepts you just learned. I have found that e-gmat concept files and practice questions tests your understanding and application of those concept. E-gmat strategy teaches you how to eliminate wrong answers in SC. My favourite part was modifier. I did not have clear understanding of modifier prior taking e-gmat verbal live prep.
The course not only has helped in verbal preparation but also to write better English at work. I highly recommend the course who are planning to take GMAT.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone who finds verbal section difficult.

I have witnessed a reasonable increase in my mocks score and a noticable decrease in my average response time of SC questions.

I haven't had access to the quant section so I don't have any reviews on that section.

I scored 26 in verbal in my last attemp. Currently, I have been scoring 36-40 in the official mocks. I am appearing for the GMAT later this month and will then write another review on my performance.

Their methodolgy is systematic which gives you great confidence in answering the questions.

Thank you very much e-GMAT team.

This course is a great way to start my studies for the GMAT. I have not taken the test yet, but have taken a few practice tests and have improved immensely. It gave me structure to study as well as guidelines and what to focus on first. It is important to know that taking this class isn't just throwing money at studying; you really have to be as invested in the program and use all the resources in order to get the most of out of your experience.
e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep course, indeed, is one of the most valuable gift for a GMAT aspirant, especially the one who is struggling with the verbal section, can give to himself / herself. The course is clearly geared for students (native as well as non-native speakers) seeking the types of scores needed to get into top-tier b-schools. The materials and classes are extremely well thought out and taught by really talented and smart people (Rajat, Payel, Neeti).
Overall the Verbal Live Prep is unique course with following key advantages:
• Extremely organized course curriculum for SC, CR & RC section including study plan, practice questions & its detailed explanations which you might not of think that one before.

I wrote my GMAT 3 years back in 2012 and scored a 640 with verbal score of 29. That time I prepared using the different books. When I decided to write my GMAT again 3 years later I did not want to be in the same situation. A friend of mine strongly recommended e-gmat verbal course. I enrolled for the course and started following the modules in a disciplined way. The structure of the course made learning simple yet effective. The practice sets helped to create a solid foundation and the scholaranium provided an effective way to track the progress. The webinars are very interactive and focus on the process of solving the problems. I wasn't able to attend any of the live webinars but accessed the recordings and the recordings helped me take my preparation to the next level. At the end the course worked well for me because of its well designed structure and an excellent team of instructors. Follow the course with discipline and the good result will follow.
