So I started of this prepartaion on myself in January I think and soon realized as Always I'll Need to Focus on the Verbal section. I picked up Manhattan first but realized that wasnt enough specially without any practice material. I then found E-GMAT and it changed how I approached the Questions. My main weakness was the SC and for that their meaning based Approach is definitely the way to go. Ist also a fun process of learning and the scholarnium is worth it.

A lot of other material just makes the Questions so tough. You're not going to Encounter most of These Questions ever and the scholaranium has a good Focus on balance of Questions. If you think you are weak in the Verbal Section, just take this Course and you'll be fine.

Just for a figure: I was doing around V30 before I started anything. Ended at V40.

Learning the key strategies and internalising them is the key strategy to achieve the target GMAT score!!
I am a Chartered Accountant from India, was always good at quant and had a good command over English language , my only catch area was RC.

I started my preparation with a renowned institute, taking classes, solving puzzles and practising questions but things didn't help and neither my prep score nor the speed improvised. I did practise a lot but, was getting trapped into the traps created by the test maker. I was always able to eliminate the 3 of 5 choices but 90% times was marking the incorrect one as the answer. Then searching online I came across a few reviews about e-gmat online. I wanted to give it a try and did enroll for the course and that is how things started changing.

I realised there were a lot more areas in the SC and CR that required improvement to crack the desired score! It was hence I started learning the key strategies, understanding the traps introduced in SC and CR problems by the test makers. Key strategies like getting immersed into the passage, various SV rule for SC and the rethinking for CR did help me improve the accuracy drastically and help me reduce the time spent per question. As mentioned earlier, when I started RC was the biggest challenge, but things have seriously changed with the help of the key strategies. I personally have seen the improvement with the help of Scholaranium, which is an awesome performance tracker and will help you evaluate the exact areas that you need to work on to improve and am confident about the path that am following.

Last but not the least, I realised "Practise is definitely important, but following the key strategies makes it in the right direction and makes you beat the nail, rather that beating around the bush!!"
My prep scores have improved over time and am soon planning to write the GMAT again! Will surely update my new score!!

I took the verbal course of E-GMAT last year. I started with Sentence correction. My level of understanding to SC questions increased gradually after completing just 2 modules of it (Subject-verb agreement and Verbs). The explanation given in the videos are very easy and fun to watch. My score on SC increased by E-GMAT only.

For me, the CR section was bit complicated. I was not able to comprehend the argument given in the after tests. Inference module is best but in other sections, I was not getting comfortable.

RC is also good. They basically say to comprehend each and every line slowly. The tactic is very good but not very well for 700 level questions.

Overall, E-GMAT is must for those people who lack the basics and the price for E-GMAT is also affordable.

I signed up for e-gmat after reading reviews of how useful it was for non-natives. And I am very satisfied with what was offered.
I was scoring around 34-35 in verbal initially and was finding it very difficult to break the barrier. I went through all the videos for SC and CR and adopted the techniques recommended. That helped my breach the 40 barrier in verbal. The SC videos were particularly helpful and my accuracy improved from around 50-60% to 80%. All in all i got a 40 point boost in my overall score as compared to what i was scoring before e-gmat.
I would highly recommend the course for those struggling with verbal, especially SC.

I encountered with e-GMAT verbal review online courses pretty often. I did not know whether it will work or not. After 2 months' of self-preparation I found out that my score is improving very slowly. I had a major concerns about SC section especially. I decided to buy e-GMAT verbal review course only. This was the best decision I made during my preparation. I myself focused mostly on the SC section considering lack of time for application deadlines of universities. I improved pretty fast. Literally I could do every hard question in less than 2 mins. However, I spent some time on the RC section and I must say I was not getting that same wow result in the RC section. CR section was good as well but again I recommend this course specially to those who suffer from SC section mostly.

I gave my GMAT more than a year ago, by self-study and that time I got a 710 score (Q50, V34). In the various mocks also I used to get scores around 710. As I was not satisfied with my performance, I decided to searching various coaching for GMAT preparation. I talked to various friends of mine and almost all of them told me about E-gmat and its very good Verbal course, particularly the Sentence Correction Module. E-gmat offers various courses for GMAT preparation and on the basis of advice from my friends; I took the Verbal Live Prep course of the E-gmat. Within a few months, I realised that advise of my friends were correct. The course has been designed so effectively that it helps us to learn & train for the Verbal part of the GMAT very easily and effectively. I was weak in RC and SC and both of my RC and SC have improved a lot after taking this course. The methodology of tackling RC has helped me to correct my previous strategy of taking RC , because of which I was weak in the RC. I will particularly appreciate the SC module which helped me to learn and improve on my Sentence Correction aspect. In this also E-gmat stepwise approach has helped me improve my accuracy, which was low before. The course has been designed in an interactive way and there are regular feedback given, so that we can effectively target which areas to work harder and improve on them. This regular interactive learning and feedback have particularly helped me to enhance the learning experience. There are so many questions of various types to learn about the concepts. The Scholaranium has so many questions of various difficulty levels to effectively select and target questions as per our choice to test ourselves, learn and improve and enhance our ability. My skills in RC and SC have greatly improved as I am regularly getting GMAT mocks score of about 740 or above, which is a great satisfaction and confidence booster for my actual GMAT exam which I am about to give soon.

I have researched a lot about verbal courses. And I have clarity that classroom coaching is not feasible for me, since i lost the habit of sitting for hours and listening to a lecture. And i found e-GMAT to have very good reviews. Let me also contribute my two pennies for the same.

Pros:
It is very well structured
Helps you to build basics strong
Vast practice questions (Scholaranium)
Very interactive video lessons

Cons:
The forum is bit slow
No human touch, to get any support
Bit expensive for duration of 6 months.

Since I was a working professional, out of those 6 months, overall on & off, may be i have used it only for 80-90 days.
Scholarinium is a great tool, but i realized it very lately.
Lastly, irrespective of any course you take, you need to spend some quality time for the prep and practice as much as possible.

After 1 failed attempt, I joined Egmat for Verbal section. I was already acing the quant section, but needed help for verbal section. Egmat has one of the best verbal resources which explains every concept with ease. The best approach is the Pre thinking over each question. While reading you pre think of the possible solution which eliminates majority of the options. If I can do, then anyone can do. Egmat helped me to ace my verbal to an extent where I can confidently apply to B schools and get a scholarship. And the verbal online resources are easy to understand with practice questions which test you for your learning from each part of the video. And not only this helped me in my verbal, but also in my AWA section. The pre thinking approach helped me with analysing the AWA question very quickly and respond with most suitable anaser.

I did get V40 and V41 in my first two attempts at GMAT. So why did I still go for e-GMAT online verbal course? Because I got only a V36 in my third attempt and knew I had to seriously improve my consistency at the verbal section. My low score on the 3rd attempt also showed that there are important fundamentals that I needed to strengthen on.

The systematic approach that e-GMAT teaches you on each of the sections gave me the ultimate framework to approach the verbal section.
I read the Manhattan SC book 4 times. But e-GMAT still managed to teach me new knowledge on SC.
For RC and CR, the famous pre-thinking approach lives up to its reputation for me. I didn't use any specific framework for these questions in my first 3 attempts. As such, when I first learnt about it, it did take me a longer time to answer the questions. But with practice, it started to become second-nature to me and helped improve my accuracy.

But learning is not enough. You also need a lot of practice. Having exhausted other free exercise materials, I was desperately in need of new questions. The fact that e-GMAT comes with its Scholaranium question bank was a crucial factor for me to pick e-GMAT. The questions are of high quality. And the analytics and flexibility it offers turned out to be truly helpful with my preparation.

For Quant, what I wanted was more difficult questions for practice. The fact that the e-GMAT Verbal Online prep comes with access to GMATCLUB Quant Practice Tests was definitely icing on the cake for me.

A challenging, but wonderful journey to GMAT 720 (Q49/V39):

Firstly, I wan to thank all the members of the GMAT club community. I have been a member of GMAT community for 4 years now, but I never imagined that I would be writing for this community one day because my GMAT experience has been challenging, but rewarding at the end. This post is dedicated to Retakers, especially non-natives ones, who want to give up on their dream score or business schools. Please, don’t quit!
My Background
I old a master degree in statistics and another one in financial engineering. I have been working since 2016. In December 2014, I took my first GMAT exam, but I was very disappointed on the test day because I got 610 (Q46, V29). I was especially disappointed but my Quant score because it was too low for someone with my background (statistics/ quant finance) and I did not know how to justify such a low quant score, even in my optional essays. Thus, I decided to prepare more seriously and to retake the exams in 3 months.
I purchased Gmat Club tests and began to take quant tests, one test every week. My preparation was strongly focused on the Quant section because I thought that raising my Quant score to Q50 or Q51 would help me reach my dream score (700) more easily than attempting to raise my verbal score above V35.This time, I allocated the remaining 2 weeks of my preparation to verbal. However, this strategy was flawed because I did not understand how the GMAT algorithm works. On March 12, 2015, I appeared again for the gmat exam and scored a disappointing 650 (Q50, V28), mainly because my verbal score was very low. I was so disappointed that I decided to postpone my GMAT ambition and to focus on starting my career.
First set of lessons learned:
• If you want to get a good score (>700), you MUST also get good subsection scores, especially in the verbal section.
• It is very important to use official questions and exams wisely. Use them from the middle of your preparation or at the very end. This is especially true for the Official mock exams because their number is very limited (6). In my case, I wasted a lot of official questions and exams because I did not prepare well before taking them. I was repeating the same errors again and again because I thought improvement come only through practice while mastering the fundamentals is much more important
• Quality is much better than Quantity. Thus, pay careful attention to the preparation materials you use, if you don’t want to lose time, energy, and money.

Three years later, in 2018, I decided to restart my GMAT because I had not abandoned my ambition to move to a b-school. Thus, retaking the GMAT was a mandatory step given my low previous score. However, this time, I did not want to lose my time and money for nothing. I read a lot of reviews about the GMAT course providers on the GMAT CLUB. I was attracted by the high number of reviews E-GMAT had received and decided to attend a free GMAT preparation strategy session which changed the perception I had of the Gmat exam. For me, the most important takeaways were:
• GMAT is a test of ABILITY, not JUST a test of accuracy. Gmat test your ability to solve difficult question. The higher the difficulty level of the questions you solve, the higher your sectional score will be. Thus, focus on clearing the fundamentals to build good sectional ABILITIES
• You must adopt a VERY STRUCTURED approach in question solving and, in your preparation, if you don’t want to waste your time.
After attending a few verbal and quant E-GMAT webinars, I finally decided to subscribe to their GMAT ONLINE package. It was the most decisive decision I made during all my GMAT journey. My feedback regarding their platform and its contents are the following:
 Platform presentation and organization: The people at EGMAT have done a very great job because their platform is organized very well. The GMAT PLANNER is a very wonderful tool because it helps you build and/or get an idea of the sets of subsection score required to obtain a given total score. Furthermore, at the beginning and end of each lesson on the platform, the user can take an ABILITY test to get an idea of the evolution of his skills and continue confidently in his preparation. Finally, E-GMAT’s SCHOLARANIUM is a powerful tool that allow the student to take subsection-focused ABILITY tests an get detailed analytics on his/her weaknesses
 Sentence correction: the meaning-based approach of EGMAT has been a life changing concept for me as it helped me tackle the most difficult sentence correction question with confidence. Thanks to this approach, I was able to raise my SC percentile ranking from 63 percent to 86 percent in my last official exam
 Critical Reasoning: Prior to E gmat, the approach I used for CR was very unstructured. I used to guess most of the time. Using E GMAT platform, I was discovered the concept of Pre-thinking which is applicable to any CR question and helped me raise my percentile ranking from 45 to 76 in my last exam.
 Reading comprehension: Prior to E GMAT, I used to lose confidence any time I was faced with a passage out of my comfort zone (Economics) and guessed. Then, I discovered E-GMAT 7 reading strategies which where very helpful, especially for a non-native English speaker like me. I was able to solve more difficult question and, finally, I raised my reading comprehension percentile ranking from 47 to 83!
 Quantitative section: Overall, E-GMAT quantitative material are of extremely good quality. They are as structured as the verbal material and very similar to what you will get on the actual test. The difficulty level of the question is sometime higher than GMATCLUB tests and prepare you for the worst.
Overall, in my opinion, E-GMAT is definitely the best preparation provider for anyone who has a difficult time with GMAT verbal section. The technology behind their platform and the way the platform is organized will help any serious GMAT test takers get 700+ total score. In my case, I went from 650 (V28) to more than 700 (V39) using only E GMAT material for the verbal section.
