I had already taken a good known verbal course and even after studying verbal part, I was not able to answer verbal questions. Then I found online webinar from E-Gmat and was very impressed with their methodology of Pre-Thinking. With Pre-thinking method and dividing SC questions into parts was very helpful. I started understanding SC questions much better after going some of the verbal online tutorials. Also I found related GMAT OG questions at the end of every tutorial; these really help to sync with official guide. For RC, I was not very sure if I should just skim the passage or read whole passage as I feel I am a slow reader. I learnt 7 step method from E-GMAT after which I realized that though first question takes more time as you are reading the whole passage and taking notes, but then you can answer rest of related passage much quicker.
I am a non native speaker & the first time I gave the gmat exam with minimal study I got V15.This was tooo low!
Next time I did SC,CR ,RC from the tutorials on EGMAT to receive a score of V30.This was with full time work and I did not get any time to revise the SC course.I am extending my E-gmat course and have given myself 40 days to improve my score from V30 to v40'S.According to my ESR report my weakness lies in the SC area and this is where I will put maximum effort.E-gmat has a very structured approach towards learning verbal and remembering RULES thus If you go through all their lessons and revise them before the exam V 35+ should not be a hard task.
I purchased both Verbal and Quant e-GMAT courses. Overall I found them as highly useful and fully providing value for money. One of the main merits for me is that the courses are accompanied with audio, which helped to perceive information easier. In addition, the e-GMAT team made great job in visualizing concepts.
The Verbal section is well designed and covers almost all topics which could be encountered during the test, although there are some issues aspects in Sentence Correction section which are not discussed there.
The Quant section provides with general concepts, but it would be difficult to obtain really high score band relying only on this. So I would recommend to look for additional sources of task for practice.
Webinars provided by e-GMAT are worth participating as they dig deeper in details and really boost understanding of discussed topics.
I wrote my GMAT 3 years back in 2012 and scored a 640 with verbal score of 29. That time I prepared using the different books. When I decided to write my GMAT again 3 years later I did not want to be in the same situation. A friend of mine strongly recommended e-gmat verbal course. I enrolled for the course and started following the modules in a disciplined way. The structure of the course made learning simple yet effective. The practice sets helped to create a solid foundation and the scholaranium provided an effective way to track the progress. The webinars are very interactive and focus on the process of solving the problems. I wasn't able to attend any of the live webinars but accessed the recordings and the recordings helped me take my preparation to the next level. At the end the course worked well for me because of its well designed structure and an excellent team of instructors. Follow the course with discipline and the good result will follow.
I gave my exam yesterday and scored a 730. My split was V48 V42 in maths and verbal respectively. I had enrolled for the E-gmat Sentence correction course and the thing i appreciated most was the sincerity in preparing the audio visuals. When i started out my preparation i used to score around 660, primarily because i was not doing well in sentence correction. Even though i did extremely well in rc and cr , i struggled with sc because i lacked a proper approach. Thankfully E-gmat fixed that.
Egmat provides a good number of practice questions and equally good explanations. Their approach to sentence correction is probably the best among all the prep companies.Even if you cannot follow their exact methodology, the course will equip you with enough knowledge to spot the errors. Overall i feel it was a great decision to purchase this course and it probably pushed my score up by 20-30 points.
e-gmat has helped me in a long way in improving my verbal score from 24 to 36 (12 points improvement). The Verbal Live prep is exclusively design for those who lacks in basics and has a very simple language and examples to make a student grasp the fundamentals. The Workshops included in this course are really an eye opener and gives a final kick to your preparations. Moreover, SC with emphasis on understanding the meaning rather than divulging into terms is unique approach and is a differentiating factor. I have been greatly benefited by this and its a must for anyone struggling in verbal.Their latest addition of Scholarnium section which has got excellent combination of GMAT type question of various level of difficulties provide with you with final touch on your preparation
It was my 4th GMAT attempt. The first attempt was way back in 2013 so I wouldn't consider it for this review. I had a score of 690 (Q50 V33) on the 2nd attempt. I wanted to apply to the top schools, hence I was a little concerned about the score. I decided to take a retake but due to unavoidable circumstances didn't do well on the 3rd attempt. I wanted to give one final attempt by concentrating on verbal. I used to be active on gmat club and heard about e-gmat verbal prep and had a discount offer in my mail. I took e-gmat verbal live prep because my verbal score was on the lower side.
I started with Sentence Correction. I soon realised that the content was well planned and structured in a way that made learning pretty easy. I followed a routine to complete the content and simultaneously did the assessments, which helped me to get an idea of my strong and weak zones. I used to attend the live classes and workshops as well.
I scored a 730 (Q51 V37) on the 4th attempt.
I wont stretch it any longer. If you feel you're not bad at Verbal but are not able to score well on your mock tests or the actual GMAT, this course is for you. This preparation helped me to reach the correct answer faster than I used to. this helped me to reach the difficult questions faster and afford the time to spend on them. I still don't have a role model score, but I have just enough to give you all a hope who need that wee bit extra in verbal to cross the 700 mark.
The guys at e-gmat are amazing. Their response time to your queries will amaze you. Krishna can be a bother at times ;). I must applaud Shraddha for the SC section.
Practice hard but dont run like a bull. Planning and strategising are important. How to tackle the exam is as important as knowing the right answers. Well this is not the most structured review. Kindly bear with me on this as it was a sudden flow of emotions that I have tried to articulate.
I am very happy with the two e-GMAT Verbal Online courses that I used (SC & CR). This courses were important tools in my path from 30V to 40V in 3 months.
I decided to take these online courses after some research on the web and how it was rated for non-native speakers like me. The reviews were right! The videos and the sources that I found there were very easy to understand and gave me an effective approach to face verbal questions.
Finally, despite some problems with the speed of the videos I found that the platform was very friendly. I definitely recommend this course to complement the preparation for GMAT of any non-native speaker.
E-Gmat proved to be pivotal in me getting a V39 on the eventual GMAT exam. It is a good starting point for international students. All the concepts were explained clearly and the videos proved to be a very good tool to learn.
I also liked the concept of scholaranium and the analyses provided after each test. The ability to track my performance after 5-6 tests really helped me identify my weaknesses.
The tests after each section or topic were also very helpful, I just wish that the questions in scholaranium were not a repeat of the questions that I had already practiced as that didn't reflect the correct score that I should have achieved.
Overall, I would definitely recommend any non native speakers to go for the EGMAT verbal course.
Being a non native I was struggling to improve score in verbal. When I started the course my score used to be 20 in mocks. E-GMAT verbal online course clears the concepts in very structured fashion. Questions during and after completion of each topic helps in strenthening the concepts. There is huge data of questions which cover all variety of GMAT questions. The solution provided to these question is again very well defined and practising these questions train your brain to start solving questions in correct pattern and right solution. e-GMAT verbal online course is very good for Indian students. I improved score in verbal with 17 points in just 20 days of preparation.
