Verbal Online by e-GMAT is the best online course especially for non-natives. The course material is excellent & has a unique approach to cracking the verbal section. The course teaches you to crack the verbal using a well-defined and easy process. This is the key differentiator over other courses. CR course with emphasis on logical structure, pre-thinking and techniques like ABC test, negation test, variance test is very strategic & helped me to tackle most difficult CR passages with ease & save a lot of time too. The 3-step process in SC is an eye-opener. Understanding the meaning of the sentence & applying the steps in the right way I was able to reduce the time I take to solve each SC question. The RC section helps you to break down any complex passage and solve them with ease. I even upgraded to a Verbal Live Prep after taking this course. I would highly recommend e-GMAT to anyone who wants to crack the verbal section in GMAT.
Hi ,
I have enrolled in e-gmat study plan after an unsuccessful stint at GMAT exam in 2017 . I used the standard Manhattan and OG for the prep , but somehow i couldn't figure out the right way to grasp and internalize the concepts .
I heard about e-gmat from the forums and the feedback people gave about it on the meaning based approach and its interactive course . I am not done with GMAT yet but i already love the course work skeleton which was built up . Its video based teaching approach some how attracted me and i was able to grasp concepts with ease , the way payal explains each concept also has been very helpful . Hopefully , this time I will close with a good Verbal score .
I am yet to appear for my GMAT, but the resources of E-GMAT are very comprehensive and up to date.
The focus of the course never shifts away from the core understanding of the concepts which is the most important part in the preparation. The design of the course takes care of the understanding and the sequence you should follow for your preparation and you can trust it and follow it without worrying about a separate plan for your prep. Make sure you never miss out on the detailed explanations even when you answer the choice correctly as doing this will make sure you take best possible approach.
The free resources and webinars are a plus which give you a snapshot of their live programs. Due to time and other constraints I would highly recommend it to fellow colleagues who want to max their score in the best way possible.
Best of luck to anyone who finds this review helpful.
I am really very grateful to the e-GMAT team in coming up with such a comprehensive program for every section of the GMAT exam. I had tried every prep book one could find in the market -kaplan,manhattan ,veritas etc and was still struggling to improve my score beyond V36 and Q48. I felt though i had hit a wall and could not break it. My best friend had taken this course and got a 730 in his GMAT and that's how i came to know about e-GMAT and my colleague scored a 740 after studying from e-GMAT for just a month. So I thought that since i have tried so many preps,i might as well give this a shot. I had no idea what a amazing ride i would be having for the next 2 months exploring each and every nook and corner of this thorough program. I had initially had bought only the Verbal live course but within a week i bought the rest of the courses as well. I feel e-GMAT gave me hope , and i am sure there are thousand of students like me out there. For students like me hard work is not a problem but finding proper guidance is. While watching each and every course video on e-GMAT, solving the problems given in the course list and sticking to a plan creating by e-GMAT i felt my standard improve slowly but surely. In fact i was actually surprised to see my I.R score improve as well after following e-GMAT's approach - this is something i did not even consider focusing on ! I would like to mention Shraddha ma'am especially for helping me out with S.C questions. After i gave the GMAT prep practice test i used to post the troublesome questions on the forum and she used to take time and answer each one of them patiently . In fact there was a time when she actually found a pattern in my mistakes that came as a surprise to me. From then I stared enjoying working on S.C as a result and always score in the 90% since then. Another aspect of e-GMAT i would like to point out is the Scholaranium. I am depended on this tool so much that i rarely touched the practice questions from Gmat prep. It is the BEST tool out there for GMAT preparations! My skills improved to such an extent that i started finding silly mistakes even in the correct answer option of the actual GMAT test prep tool - this is documented on e-
GMAT's form. I cannot thank Rajat and his team enough in giving hope to me.
Regards,
Gibran
The e-GMAT course has been one of the best resources to have for the GMAT preparation.
The verbal course explains the steps in details which are very useful to understand the GMAT question patterns & get habituated with the exam strategies.
The explanation to the questions are very useful & helps in examining the mistakes & correct them.
Provides a very well structured study plan with concepts and quizzes for each section. (This may be useful for anyone who lacks discipline)
It comes with free mock exams that can generate performance analytical reports.
The eGMAT course is so well explained that I helps me to clarify lot of my doubts in SC,CR and RC.
I will recommend each GMAT aspirant to enroll for this course and try to follow the approach taught here. This will definitely help you to improve your performance.
Hello everyone,
I am happy to write that I have managed to cross the 700 mark and scored 710 on my GMAT recently. I got a Q48,V39 ,IR5, AWA6.
To all the people who are just starting or in the middle of the preparations-
1. Please don't waste valuable time in reading multiple opinions on multiple forums. Everyone goes through a different experience and it's difficult to generalise anything here.
2. Please make quick and informed decisions and stick to them. With multiple resources , it gets difficult to decide but try to stick to the official material as much as possible.
3. E-Gmat review- great resource for verbal. I can't thank them enough for creating this. I almost wasted 2 months struggling with free resources to no use but then I decided to use e-GMAT. The entire course is very well planned and organised. Verbal is perfect. Quant is decent. Anybody who wishes to start from scratch should look into their module. Overall, very positive about the product.
4. People, preparing for GMAT is tough, but please don't spend all your energy and time into it. Please plan ahead of your time. There is no denying that a great GMAT score can do wonders but let's not forget that writing applications is the major part of the process. Save ample time for it.
5. Please seek professional help if you are finding it difficult to organise things. Small investments in the beginning save you a lot of time and effort towards the end.
6. EXCERCISE!
Laat but not the least, don't forget the bigger picture. Stay calm and focussed! Good luck. :)
I want to share my GMAT experience. I come from Georgia and live in a city where very few people know what the GMAT is. So when I decided to prepare, I had no materials, resources or someone who can give a good advice. I started to research some information and of course, I found GMAT Club and BEAT THE GMAT. I started using their resources, but still I felt that I needed some additional support for my study. I accidentally found e-gmat free trial and I constantly loved it. My first video was about verb-ed and verb-ing modifiers. I had no idea of these topics before e-gmat. I liked the free trial very much and decided to purchase Verbal course and several weeks later, I also purchased Quant course.
E-gmat has brilliant verbal course. Its videos are very informative and easy to understand. In SC, before e-gmat, I only focused on grammar error and never thought about the meaning. But after I went through e-gmat SC course, first I focused on the meaning and then on grammar. In CR, I loved the pre-thinking method. At first, it was really hard for me to pre-think the assumptions, but time by time I begin to pre-think before going to answer choices. The best part of e-gmat course was scholarinium. It is an incredible tool to practice, assess and see your performance. I also loved that the questions were divided in three parts: easy, medium and hard.
I also used Quant course. I always loved math and I thought I won’t have a problem in Quant section. But still I had some gaps in Quant and that’s why I bought e-gmat course. The best thing in Quant course is scholaranium. It has a very big pool of questions with incredible explanations. From questions, I learned different math rules and tricks. I also liked the question types (easy, medium, hard and very hard). Very hard questions were really VERY HARD and most of the time impossible to answer in two minutes, but these questions deepened my understanding of concepts.
So what happened to Exam Day? I thought I controlled my nervous, but I was wrong. I was very nervous. And it very much affected my score. I scored 660(Q48, V34).
Here’s my advice to avoid mistakes that I made:
• e-gmat verbal course was very helpful, but I found hard to transfer theory in practice. So practice and practice the way e-gmat suggests!
• LEARN YOU MISTAKES – I didn’t focus very effectively on my mistakes. I devoted little time to explore them deeply.
• Control your emotion – no quant or verbal understanding will guide you to your target score if you are unable to control your nerves. It is a very stressful environment and do your best to stay calm.
At the beginning of my GMAT experience, I took gmatprep and scored 540. At this time I had no idea and understanding of the GMAT. E-gmat helped me to go up till 660. So, I’m very grateful.
I think that the GMAT is very much doable exam if you find the course that fits you, if you practice effectively and most importantly if you manage to control your nerves.
Good Luck to future test-takers and Happy Holidays!
As a preliminary point, I would like to thank E-GMAT for their amazing support and the opportunity to extend my subscription till my GMAT date free of charge!
I have always been struggling with the GMAT and after a discouraging score (in the mid-500s) in my first official GMAT, I decided to attack my weak areas. I started off with a verbal score of V25 and had an ongoing problem to solve CR and RC questions in a timely manner. Not only did I not use a methodical approach to tackle CR and RC questions but also unnecessarily reread parts of an argument or passage several times. As a result, I ended up entangled in a medley of words and phrases I just couldn’t get the gist of. Long story cut short, it was continuous battle to cope with mid-hard difficulty questions and I couldn’t see an increase in my verbal score.
Determined to improve my score, I searched for proven ways to improve and took notice of the e-GMAT verbal course. Consistently positive reviews on GMAT forums and a comparably reasonable price reinforced my decision to give the course a try. I purchased the complete course including quant prep (wanted to hone my math skills further as well) and jumped right into it. Though my focus has been on verbal since then, the quant section was quite interesting and offered many methodical ways to efficiently and accurately solve 700-level-questions. -> A definitive recommendation!
As far as the verbal course is concerned, the course is very well structured and gives you a clear-cut course right at the beginning. While going through the Master Comprehension part I was able to immediately detect my “failure points” – the reason why I couldn’t grasp the meaning was simply that I employed the obviously wrong reading strategies. Moreover, the course gave me the required insights to analyze my mistakes and overcome the most common pitfalls. Now I understand why apparently correct and enticing answer choices are fundamentally incorrect – something I could not properly understand while studying on my own.
All in all, I have spent the last 6 months part-time (due to work) going through the concept files and diligently practicing in Scholaranium (e-GMAT’s practice and analysis section). I have not retaken the actual GMAT yet, but my practice tests scores in the verbal section have gone significantly up (my best score was V37 till now) and I’m confident to improve a little further (perhaps I can break the V40? :) ).
Therefore, I can in good conscience recommend the courses offered by e-GMAT especially if you have a hard fight to improve your verbal score and/or looking forward to boosting your quant score to Q50.
Having attempted the GMAT twice, at a significant gap of 2 years, I was not too sure if I am willing to attempt it again. My first attempt dates back to January 2013 (Scored 470) and the second attempt to September 2014 (Scored 500), you would begin to think that I was writing the exam in utter disinterest and without any preparations. Now, let me not bring up the dead from the buried, instead highlight to you what really changed my mind and made me to work towards this goal again. The reasons of my utterly dismal performance so far will be highlighted steadily in the review below.
eGMAT, similar to a lot of you, was introduced to me by GMAT Club I was just not sure if it is just another course which I would be throwing my money at. This is because in my previous attempts I kept myself to Manhattan prep, Kaplan and the OG. While OG painted a different picture for me, the other two preparation materials were just categorically different. I was confused, till the last day of preparation about what to follow. And, went into the exam to come out slapped and beaten by the GMAT. This was the time when I understood the nature and importance of the official material of GMAT. eGMAT was truly the game changer that I was sincerely looking for. A go-to material, a one stop shop for all your requirements.
My 2 cents on the course - eGMAT is designed to extremely interactive. The Quant Online is not a course meant to be just get done with. It is designed in a way to make sure that you remember the concepts for times to come. I have been able to complete the course and during my practice sessions, keeping a score stable in the range of 49-51. It is absolutely essential to keep timing of your practice sessions as well, because on the D-Day, such will be the conditions.
All this being said, the flagship feature of their course is undoubtedly the Scholaranium. Scholaranium will help you gauge precisely the areas of strengths and weaknesses and that too at a granular level. Because of this, you will know precisely where to focus your efforts on in the days leading up to the test.
e-GMAT is always trying to improve their content with concepts which can help students better prepare. Indeed, they released a whole host of new features just as I was completing my preparation. If I would have had access to these features before, I would have been able to prepare even better. I think that has to be my only grouse with e-GMAT.
Wish you good luck for the journey.
Six months ago I was looking for a GMAT online course for the Verbal section. I had the opportunity to test some of the online courses proposed by the main providers. I did not find any big difference among these courses until I tested the online course proposed by e-GMAT.
Since I contacted them, I noticed the difference. e-GMAT really help me advising how I could improve my score within each section. They took the time to analyze my results on my last mocks and proposed me a one-week free trial to test the complete online course. I had such a good experience that week that I decided to take the Quant and Verbal online course for the next six months. It was a very good decision. The online course is very well structured with a lot of detailed explanations and videos and has a big database (with more than 1800 exercises!) to practice both quant and verbal section. I have made a big jump especially on the Quant section. I realize that I have a much better understanding of each section of the exam. Moreover, I have learned a lot of tips to gain time on solving problems.
I feel quite confident today in getting a high score. I will take the exam in two weeks and have already improved my score on the mocks from 600s to 720s +.
e-GMAT online has been a worthwhile investment. I strongly recommend it. You will improve your understanding of each section and will have the opportunity to practice as many exercises as you can within the Scholarium (e-GMAT Database). If you have a chance just try the free trial and you will notice the difference.
Thank you e-GMAT for all your help, availability and support!
All the best,
Roberto
