Program Full Time MBA

Class of 2017

Experience during the program

London Business School is an experience in itself! I came in with very high hopes and am very happy to say that LBS has exceeded all those expectations. The 2 biggest factors are the diversity and the location.

Being in central London offers unparalleled access to almost every major employer in the world (most cases they come to you and you don't need to go anywhere). London has a thriving finance community but it also has a very quickly growing tech scene. Every major company in the world has its offices here and LBS is a strong brand.

The student diversity will blow you away. At LBS diversity is not a buzzword but you will be part of the most diverse student community in the world. This alone will teach you so many things to make the MBA worth it.

I am extremely happy with my decision and I think you should come to LBS!

Experience during the program

LBS has been a wonderful experience so far, and they continually work to improve the program. The students are incredibly diverse and come from so many different countries and industries. Coursework was harder than I expected, so don't take it lightly. Treks are varied and frequent but to get on them you have to sign up the second they open. I'm only one term in, but am really looking forward to the rest of the program. London is also a fantastic city, /!: it's important to get out of the bubble and go explore it. You can really make the most of your experience by getting involved in lots of different acitivities. That said, here's a piece of advice I found useful to keep in mind: you can do anything, but you can't do everything.

Program Full Time MBA

Class of 2015

Experience during the program

I had a great MBA experience at London Business School. The school had really good professors for finance and I learned a lot through both the lecture and group work. The student body is very diverse with students coming from all over the world with different sets of experiences and skill set. Students were very proactive at organizing professional and cultural treks as well as conferences, forums, etc. There was a lot of opportunities to learn about different industries through these conferences.
The school had really good resources when it came to interview prep, especially for banking and consulting and fellow students were also helpful in terms of practicing interviews.
Being in London, student enjoy the benefits of working with different start-ups in the city, most of my classmates had the opportunity for part-time projects during school year. Alumni was also very helpful when you reach out to them for coffee chats.

Diverse Student Body, Great Location

Experience during the program

The student body at LBS is one of the most diverse one, if not the only one. Classmates are generally with high caliber and down to earth. Such environment helps students build up a high degree of awareness to cultural difference.
Academic resources have been great, with school investing a lot of resources hiring the best faculty from all around the world.
Career service wise, I personally have received more than expected guidance and support along the way. The employers I wanted to work for all came to campus presentation. There are plenty of alumni working in those companies which is quite helpful during the recruiting process.
Although I would suggest students wanting to work in London have a back up plan in place, since the UK gov't had taken measures to tighten the visa policy.

About job placement process

The career service team works really hard with students to help them achieve their career goals. Multiple sessions / workshops are regularly held for students to work on their CV, interview skills, etc.
Almost every investment banks / consulting firms that has a MBA hiring program will come to school for the presentation, thanks to its location in London.
