Coming into Kelley, I knew that its major differentiator was the Me, Inc. program. I can't think of one single other program that dedicates two weeks to immersing students in understanding who they are, how they work, and the most efficient way to leverage their natural skills. Because I am a career-switcher, I knew this was something that would be transformative for me with respect to learning what skills I could bring to my intended industry. I was not disappointed with Me, Inc. in any way! I think that anyone looking to leverage their unique skills to transition into the next stage of their career would truly benefit from Me, Inc. and Kelley.

Kelley has been a great place as a career changer! Graduate Career Services is proactive, available, and helpful. In the classroom, the professors are extremely prepared and well-versed in their respective areas. The Core curriculum during the first semester was challenging but also very rewarding. I liked having a cohort and also a core team.
I also like that Kelley has a very collaborative culture where other students help with interview preparation, team projects, and securing an internship. We also make an effort to get to know Bloomington and all that it has to offer. I am very happy with my decision to attend business school.

As a engineer prior to starting my MBA, I found it hard to pivot out of that career into a more interesting area for me with more advancement options. Kelley was the perfect fit for me to do that pivot while also being quite affordable. The Kelley faculty really works to encourage a collaborative culture and ensure each student has a quality experience and can get to their desired career. In addition to the strong curriculum, the graduate business career services department is SECOND-TO-NONE. Immediately after starting class each student is paired with an advisor, a career coach, and a second year peer coach. These resources are essential to building your brand as a student and coming out of business school with a solid vision of your future and goals.
Our class size is around 140 and I have been impressed with my classmates accomplishments prior to MBA. I think the small class size is a big strength of the program, allowing everyone to form lifelong bonds and recieve more tailored assistance from professors and advisors. The campus in Bloomington is beautiful and it doesn't hurt that the city is quite affordable to live in compared to other big cities around the country.
Kelley has an extremely strong Marketing and Entrepreneurship departments with strong relationships across the country with very influential brands and firms. Kelley graduates are known for outstanding collaborative and analytical skills. The first semester core classes are very rigorous but it prepares you well for your other semesters.
Consider this school strongly if you want to pursue marketing (B2C, CPG, or B2B) and entrepreneurship. Best advice I can give is to know what you want out of your MBA before you arrive. With a direction and discipline preference, the school will be able to prepare you extensively to get the job you want.

I just finished the Core classes of Kelley, and I conclude my experience in Kelley was awesome. The most amazing aspect of Kelley is the culture of collaboration. In the first semester, we are divided into small groups, and we tackle assignments and team activities in that team. The team is intended to be diverse, in terms of specialty and nationality, so each person has different strengths and weaknesses. I am an international student, and I was not confident about my English honestly. At the beginning of the semester, I was always nervous about doing group activities with my teammates, because I was afraid of disturbing the discussions. However, they were always super friendly and helpful. They found out my strength and supported me to contribute to the team. Of course, not only my team but all students in Kelley are supportive. Kelley also gives us opportunities to support others through various activities. Second-year students are assigned to each first-year student as a mentor, and this system makes a chain reaction of the support.
The career support team is also amazing. They provide us tons of practices of behavioral and case interviews, and opportunities to network with various companies. Kelley has a huge network of alumni, and we have lots of opportunities to interact with them, which is quite beneficial for job hunting.
Kelley encourages us to work hard, in terms of studies and job hunting, but at the same time, they are always ready to support us.

Career services is top notch. Eric Johnson can truly help you drive your career. Participate in leadership academy your second year and you'll have direct access to Eric. Plus you'll get the chance to mentor a first year during the same career track you just went for.
Bloomington is also a beautiful campus. The school is the town, so you'll mainly have age brackets between underrgad/grad. Lots of ethnic restaurants that allow you to bring your own booze, always a perk!
You should do Globase, the spring semester "consulting" project in another country. You'll spend a week working for that company and a week exploring the country. When else will you have a chance to visit places like Vietnam.

So far I'm getting exactly what I thought I would out of Kelley. Obviously very strong in marketing but great opportunities as well if you're looking at corporate finance or operations. Consulting and banking are more difficult but if you're focused and determined, you can make it happen.
Class size is a little over 200 and being in a small college town really makes it easy to get to know your classmates well. I'm constantly impressed by many of my colleagues.
My one point of caution is know what you want out of the program before you get here. If you come in with a clear direction, the school will get you there. That can be said about any program but I think it's important.
I'd say I'm pleased with my decision at this point. I came to Kelley wanting a cheap but respected MBA, Kelley offers some of the best financial aid of any program.
Kelley is well resourced due to the undergrad side and Direct program so we are fortunate to have some great professors overall. The graduate building here is a little dated but a new career center opened up a month ago and is very nice.
Great professors overall, many of which are leaders in their field. Make sure you understand and like the academy structure. It's unique and can be very helpful if you're looking to switch fields.
On campus recruiting and placement is strong but many people go off campus too. You get a ton of one on one attention. It's not always easy for internationals, especially in 2018. But if you know what you want and work towards it, you'll have great opportunities.

Background in Market Research and Consulting, India - Wanted to take a jump from the analyst to the consultant level, Global opportunities
- The first 6 months are hell - will give you a lot of opportunities to interact with different people and express yourself. Totally upto you to take a dive and interact with new people or find a bunch of students from your native country and stick with them (Erodes the value of the MBA experience)
Program is too hectic the first few months and the career services even though ranked well does not do a great job in finding ample opportunities for international students. You will have multiple offers if you donot have any visa issues.
The location is big hindrance for tech and consulting firms - Mid west and Bloomington so you have to take the pains of networking well and early on to get the internship offer you were looking for. I have heard full time recruiting is comparatively easier. A very strong and spread out alumni network so you should not have a problem finding the right contact.
I got an internship of my choice and did not have to put in much efforts for recruiting but it otherwise is a bit difficult if you are career switcher especially from tech.
Applicants - Not an easy ride. You will have to network well for the right offer but you will get a chance be it MBB or Airbnb. Know the students and the school before your interview.

The Me Inc program at Kelley helps you discover your strengths and identify what you want to pursue and what you need to do in order to pursue your goals. Having that program upfront was very beneficial.
Kelley attracts a good set of students and the overall learning experience is wonderful. Some of the professors are leading industry consultants, authors of popular books, etc. So they bring in a ton of knowledge to the program.
Suggestion to future applicants: consider this school strongly if you want to pursue marketing and entrepreneurship. The school is in Midwest, so it becomes very attractive for folks who want to pursue their career in the CPG industry. A lot of Kelley alumni is working in the CPG industry.

Non-business background prior to attending business. The Core during the first semester has provided me with a great foundation for upper level courses and my internship. The culture of the school is great and everybody at Kelley is there to ensure you're on the right path for your future career. The academy structure provides me with great insight into the industries I'm interested and also provides further networking opportunities with on-campus companies. For career opportunities there are tons of on-campus companies for marketing, supply chain, and finance. Bloomington is a great town and if you think you fit into Kelley's culture, you cannot go wrong with attending IU.

Most collaborative MBA family in the US. Even though classmates are the competitors for jobs yet they will help you out no matter what. The faculty, the career services are just amazing and will give you that extra nudge to help you succeed. For me, the business school experience has been more like as if I am in a family and everybody wants me to reach the pinnacle of success and get the job of my dream. We have had so many sessions by our 2nd years to help us out in our interviews as well as the overall growth that it is amazing to see the amount of efforts put in by everybody for our success. The culture of giving back to Kelley is something unique and I have already started giving back by helping my prospective juniors.
I am so glad I chose Kelley over other programs.
