Mark Lellouch - 5 Star!!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I took the Junior Deluxe package + MBA Resume service. I got into my target school, and I am convinced that without Mark’s help my application would have been declined.

My background and career path are non-traditional, and I have had little exposure to international MBA graduates. I knew that with enough time and research I could probably get by without a consultant, but balancing work + post-grad diploma + GMAT prep was already too much to handle at the time and because there was so much at stake I decided to shell out for a consultant. In hindsight, it was one of the best decisions I could have made.

Mark is pleasant to deal with but can be brutally honest when he needs to get you out of your comfort zone. We went over my MBA resume and essays multiple times. I would say that the stories and content come from the applicant and are like a collection of pictures and Mark helps you create a montage of these unique stories representing what the adcom are looking for in an MBA applicant.

I highly recommend Mark to applicants who do not have a good idea of how to market themselves to an adcom.

I was immediately reminded of why I decided to hire a consultant after Mark’s first review of my resume.

Awesome teamwork

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I very much enjoyed working with Admissionado. You get two consultant: an MBA application strategist (MBA graduate) and a writing expert (a professional writer). Once you set up your application material in a structured way with the help of MBA application strategist, you won't need to struggle and think about what to write for many essays you may be required. All your strongest stories will be reflected in the material that you'll just need to use to finally tell them on paper. With some tweaks and tips, you'll be able to deliver them super clearly, convincingly, and memorably - the writing expert will do some magic but will still maintain your level of writing. This teamwork is super effective and fun. I wholeheartedly believe that Admissionado's creative MBA consulting service played a crucial role in helping me to get into INSEAD.

Can't recommend enough

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by membership [?]

I really enjoyed working with John Miles on my applications to 3 of my dream Schools - Wharton, Haas and CBS; converted the first two with $$.

Coming from a super-competitive applicant pool - Indian Male Engineer - I didn't think I'd get into any of my dream schools, and it wouldn't have been possible without outstanding effort from John and the entire Admissionado team.

Right from the introductory call, I knew I was in great hands. John showed genuine interest in getting to know my background and motives, and understand my choice of B-schools better. What followed was a well-documented analysis and action plan on my strengths and areas to focus on. It was very targeted at me, and had helpful insights on how to make myself stand from the crowd.

I thought I was too late for R1. But the team's prompt responses to my essay drafts and highlights on what to edit & how made sure I was able to submit my R1 applications well ahead of time - without compromising on the quality.
Turnaround on most essay drafts wasn't more than 2 days, better than the 3 days they had promised. Their edit suggestions forced me to introspect more, which ended up making me fill in some of the important details in my essays - something that my lazy mind wasn't originally prepared for.

Special thanks to Rose and Claudia for being on top of the game from behind the scenes, and cheering me up always.
The team is really great (and efficient) at what it does.

All in all, a really great experience working with them and will highly recommend at least setting up an initial phone call with them - you won't be able to turn back from there.

Outstanding Admissions Consultants!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I first reached out to Admissionado in 2016 with the team. We began the consulting process when I decided to take a pause on the MBA application process and instead accepted a job. When I reached back out in 2020 the team picked right back up where we left off. They honored my initial package and redid a strategy session with me to understand all that happened in my career since last we spoke. When evaluating my overall profile, John and the Admissionado team encouraged me and gave me the confidence to go after top schools in Round 1, despite my below-average GMAT and GPA stats, and accelerated timeline (I began the process in mid-August 2020). They helped me set up a very detailed workplan to get my admissions package together in time to meet the Round 1 deadlines for my target programs, and kept their team ahead of that plan.

John really impressed me with how invested in my story he was. By truly understanding who I was, my vision for my career, John helped me craft my essay so that I came to life on paper. Additionally, John’s specific admissions journey (Fuqua acceptance with average stats) provided insights and encouragement during my journey. I initially engaged them to help me craft my essay for one of the M7 schools. As we put together the first few versions of my essay for that school, John identified that another M7 school might be a better fit for me and what I wanted to do. Prior to that conversation I lacked the confidence in applying to that school as I believed I would be an automatic reject. I will now be attending that program this fall which would not have been possible without John and the Admissionado team.

I could not recommend John and the whole Admissionado team more. They all were personable, detail oriented, and organized throughout the entire admissions process, turning a stressful situation into something very manageable. Most importantly they care. My successes were their successes. When I received my acceptances, I could not wait to share the good news with my Admissionado team!

Would recommend working with Admissionado!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

It was a pleasure working with Admissionado! When starting out the graduate school application process, I was looking for writing help and tips on how to put out the strongest applications possible. I chose to work with Admissionado because of how they were able to accommodate all my needs along with their thoroughness.

A large number of those that receive help from Admissionado, are applying to get into a Business Master’s programs. They are able to accommodate people that are also applying to other types of master’s programs like myself who was applying to Public Policy Master’s programs starting in fall 2021. I was matched with Lisa Pearo because of the breadth of experience she has working with universities in different roles. Lisa was extremely supportive throughout the time it took me to finish all of my applications and was necessarily frank when she thought that I was not doing something up to the standard that she thought I was capable of. What was perhaps the most important assistance that I received from Lisa was when we crafted an action plan together, where she helped me point out what was best to highlight in my graduate school applications.

Throughout my time of working with Lisa and the Admissionado team (Claudia and Rose), I am extremely appreciative for all their patience and willingness to answer all of my questions for my successful application process. Even though there are many moving parts when it comes to applying for graduate school, components of which can span back to one’s undergraduate career and test scores, Admissionado played an important role in how I was able to get into my top desired programs.

Outstanding Experience

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I was initially hesitant to leverage the services of an admissions consulting firm as I felt fairly confident in my ability to craft my own narrative. I had already done a decent amount of research on my target schools as well, so I knew I didn't need a holistic consulting package. Admissionado's Junior Deluxe filled that gap perfectly (and didn't break the bank)! The team was able to help me build my unique story based on a series of (what I viewed as) unrelated personal or professional experiences. Additionally, the resume editing services that were included helped put the finishing touches on the most important part of the application.

As a side note, I felt that the Admissionado team (and Julia specifically) were able to deftly strike the balance between optimism and pragmatism, a combination I knew would both motivate and challenge me.

Do not Recommend

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I worked with John during the 2020 admission cycle. I can confidently say the Admissionado program is essentially nothing more than a essay review service and the advice provided led to no tangible difference in my applications. I was not accepted to any of the programs in which I used John, I would highly advise not spending your money on this service.

Overall I would say that the helpfulness was low. The process was stressful and they focused too heavily on attempting to sell you additional services. They did not meet my expectations. The value for money is definitely very low.

John and the Admissionado team is AMAZING!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Prior to signing up with Admissionado, I had various consultation calls with 2 other different consulting companies, after phone calls with them, I don’t think I gained much confidence to decide to work with them. While browsing reviews in the forum, those strong positive reviews for John and Admissionado triggered my attention. In the middle of my first initial consultation call with John, I knew that he is the right person who would help me better prepare my application package.

Comparing to other R1 admitted candidates, I would say my academic background is below average (graduated from Top 60 US College, 2 years of work experience and a 3.05/4.0 GPA) Given the below-average background, I don’t have much confidence to get in Fuqua, but John helped me make this happen.

John is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! If Fuqua is one of your top dream programs, I would highly recommend working with John. Given his Double Dukie background, he really knows how to craft your unique story and build up the connection between your characteristics and Fuqua spirit, which would help you easily stand out from other qualified applicants. After 4 rounds of the edit, I am amazed by those tremendous improvements and I definitely could not make this without John and his team’s effort.

Beyond the consulting service, John also cares about his client. The consulting service I had with them didn’t cover the preparation of the virtual campus visit. However, John is willing to help me review and edit the assignment for the virtual mock class presented by the Dean of FUQUA MQM program. I could remember I sent my assignment to John in the late evening around 11:30 PM and John sent back his review and suggestion right in the next day morning at 6:00 AM, 3 hours before the start of mock class. Additionally, he could remember the date I scheduled to take the GRE test and even send an encouraging email a day before the test.

Throughout the 3 months of working with John and the Admissionado team (Claudia and Rose), I am extremely grateful for all the help and support I gained from them. Starting from the Resume, essays, to the online application and mock interview, prepping with John is worth every penny!

Thank you Julie Bowman and Admissionado!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I could not be happier with the help Julie Bowman and Admissionado gave me throughout the MBA admissions process. I applied to four schools and was admitted to three of them (Kellogg, Ross and Tepper), with Ross even offering a full ride + a stipend. Julie helped me with every step of the admissions process, from helping me set career goals at the beginning to painstakingly helping me edit multiple drafts of each essay that I wrote. Her feedback was always thoughtful and thorough. Beyond this, Julie was also always willing to give me thoughtful advice on ANY question that I had throughout the process (trust me, I asked a lot of questions). Her experience really showed through in her answers. If you are willing to put in the hours of hard work, Julie and Admissionado are worth every penny when applying to business schools.

Encouraging, well worth it and delivers

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I had a great experience working with the Admissionado team and in particular, with John Miles. His approach works well to help simplify and bring the best out of you to reach your admissions goals. I highly recommend the team and would encourage anyone seeking clarity in their application process to invest in this great service.

Something worth noting is that they are able to help you beyond your business school applications. For those looking to also get some help with other graduate school applications, they're your team.

I'm happy to announce that I will be joining UC Berkeley next year, and it is in great part thanks to this team.
