Not impossible but this will be a very faaaaaar reach in the US, esp with only 3 years of work experience. What skills are you planning to bring to the IB employer? if you had worked for a local IB or perhaps in the industry (e.g. semiconductors, AI, etc) but as a junior gov employee (unless you worked in the central bank and had some great insight), you are likely going to be low on the long list of applicants.

Thanks for painting more colors. Teach is well-known but then American business course so it’s good experience. I hope it wasn’t too traumatizing for you … I know it can be depending on the situation.

Consulting is probably a better fit taking to concert new background and teaching experience and speaking skills that you developed.

Tech can also be a pass especially in e-learning and add tech though for successful recruiting you need some prior experience.

Your experience sounds really cool. However it’s also diverse so you want to leave a common theme so it doesn’t look like you did multiple unrelated things. Its com doesn’t like that very much. Tolerated but they like to hear a story why somebody did it and they are good reasons and good explanations Could be made

by the way, it’s OK not to have a perfectly defined goal for what you want to do after business school but I would say two things, one is you cannot let admissions know that. You have to come off confident and second helps a lot more with recruiting if you actually have a specific goal and Can work towards staying open to everything .

Hi Nikhil, I don't see a GMAT score or the kind of job you do. I will earnestly advise you to do no self-harm. Your past (law, government job) will always come along with you. Think from an IB's point of view: why will they hire you? Just because of your MBA education? I have seen 770's fall to the ground just because of this reason. Remain pragmatic in what you state as your goals in your applications. Once you have secured admission, you can change direction.
There isn't much to suggest at this time since your introduction is too cryptic.

I see you have changed your goal from IB to Consulting. Even then, I can't add much insight, as I would need to understand what exactly you were / are doing in each of the three career stints, what your achievements were, etc. More importantly, you would need to reflect on what skills are transferable to an international market and a new industry (consulting). If you do a decent job in your career narratives, you should get interview calls because of your score. Getting that narrative sorted is where you need to focus.

Hey there!

I hope you are doing well. My name is Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO.

You have a strong profile – a 770 GMAT is killer, and a 4.0 GPA is just awesome. The fact that you've gained such diverse experience across non-profit and government sectors is super interesting, especially that impressive turnaround you achieved in your managerial role. Talk about results!

While Kellogg, Booth, Harvard, and Stern are all amazing programs with strong consulting tracks, for them, it'll be crucial to showcase the specific skills you gained in your past roles that directly translate to the consulting world. Think problem-solving, analytical thinking, client communication – those kinds of things.

To really craft a knockout application that highlights how your unique background positions you perfectly for consulting success, let's connect! Please share your CV and we would love to schedule a session with our CEO to delve deeper into your experience and help you tell your story in a way that grabs the adcoms' attention.
